Wonderful kids store! They have a huge variety of toys, clothes and shoes! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Offered free holiday wrapping. All and all, a big win! read more

They're conveniently located on 1st Ave with clear frontage and lines of sight for many blocks thanks to the particularly wide 1st Ave service road. Owner Carole is often working inside with 1 rotating staff member, mostly organizing the shelves. The selection is very much Melissa & Doug's active catalog and Hatley branded footwares along with a smattering of other goods like Mad Libs, some trinkets, and . Pricing is an issue as obviously all customers know Amazon and online retainers of preference (eCommerce offers tons of membership, loyalty and affiliate shopping, wider selection, Walmart offers next day delivery free to metro NYC, etc.) thus seeing the prices like Melissa & Doug's Frozen Treats for $34 here vs $19 online or Wooden Sushi set for $26 vs $15 online are a problem. Likely customers are from nearby StuyTown or working at the many local medical institutions and businesses in Kips Bay thus of normal incomes thus likely to do as such. The staff visibily disprefer children play for beyond 30mins else they'll actively suggest one leave. It's likely to quell previous problem situations and to maintain an open floor space devoid of children. It's good thus for a quick blow through without the kids to get ideas then to move onto better priced retailers as most customers seen while there seemingly came in to spectate then cruise out without purchase. There're event spaces in the rear, namely a doored room of about 80 ft2 and the front area which can be closed to retail and converted to a large sitting area where the kids playareas are easily moved and removed. Posted are a schedule of events along with flyer advertising from area children's-related businesses. read more

We live in the neighborhood and needed some snow pants for my 4 year old ASAP, with the unexpected snow storm heading our way, later this week. Everything was sold out, and then it hit me, reach out to Ibiza kids - (I sent a message at 12am and got a reply at 1207am last night They had my sons size and in the morning Calle purchased over the phone and they had it ready for curbside pick up. Thank you again for accommodating us last minute the pants fit and just in time for my son to enjoy his first snow adventure #shoplocal #shopsmall #supportlocalbusinesses read more

I actually don't know why these people have one negative review. For the people who write that their clothing is pricey, they need to use their common sense and factor in that their rent is a bit more than an amazon store. If you don't wanna spend the money then don't go in. But these people were so helpful and had such cute items that I did not find their prices to be astronomical. We purchased six items for $150. In addition we have the convenience of shopping in Manhattan and talking to the owner and her staff. I will definitely be back in the future for my own baby, and for a baby gIft soon! read more

Lets start with the negative - It's very very very expensive. Clothes are pricey, shoes are pricey and toys are pricey. With that out of the way, if you have kids, live in the neighborhood, and/or frequently need presents for your friends kids or relatives, then you will come here a lot. Initially, like a couple of the early reviewers, I was put off by the high prices. Yes, t-shirts are $20-$40, which strikes me as kind of crazy for a baby or toddler. But, there are many reasons to come here. First, they have super nice items. If I am getting a gift for a friend's kid's birthday, then I come here and not Babies R Us. They have high quality items that your friends will appreciate and that people don't typically splurge on for themselves (and you can tell the difference in the quality). And they gift wrap them very nicely. Second, there are usually numerous helpful sales staff members who are very knowledgeable about the merchandise. If you were like me and know nothing about what shoes are good for your kid and how to get a good fit when they started walking, then this was the best place to come. Sure you can come here and try on some shoes, find the right fit, and then order it from Amazon and save a few bucks, but really it's not worth the savings. The mark up is not that much (these are high end shoes). Third, the kids love it here. There are so many toys to play with - it's like a giant nursery. The whole store is spacious and carpeted and uncrowded, so your little ones can sit and play (or run around play, as the case may be). I have on multiple occasions came here to give my kid a nice place to play because the weather was bad and couldn't think of other places to go (a common problem for NYC parents). They don't pressure you to buy anything. Fourth, it is a great place to test out different toys and baby gear to see if your kid likes them. Walkers, toy strollers, trucks -- it's a great place to test it out and buy only what your kid likes rather than buying stuff that he/she won't use. Finally, if you are savvy, you actually can find some deals. They sometimes have decent sales and bargain bins where you can find some nice stuff. read more

Reservations required? After browsing for about 10 minutes with only one other customer in the store, I asked a member of the store's sales staff to see a few pairs of shoes. She told me that I had not come in early enough for a shoe fitting, and it was a store policy that shoe fittings were done only prior to 6pm. She offered to tell me about the shoes generally. I understand that fittings can take time; however, I do not see why this would mean we were not allowed to purchase shoes after 6pm! Also, there was no notice posted regarding this policy (not at the store nor on their website). This situation was very disappointing. read more

I love this place. I'm not ashamed to say it. I shop here even without the pretense of buying something for my niece and nephew. I bought myself an Uglydoll there the other day and didn't even PRETEND it was for someone prepubescent. AND I asked them to wrap it. OK, that I am a little embarrassed about, but whatever. PLUS, they don't mind if you bring in your dog. This place is a wonderland of things you always wanted and never got to have, always wanted, had, and threw away, or never knew existed, and must have. Right now I am jonesing for the glowinthedark ant farm, complete with ants. Bring your inner child here. You can easily drop a million dollars on things like toys, books and games. Not to mention the rain boots with the ladybugs on them, although those do only come in kid's sizes. FOR NOW... read more

This store has great toys that are interesting so it feels like you're getting something special here. They also carry fun and comfortable clothes that are cool and a great selection of shoes. Many of their clothes are organic and items can be pricey, but it's hard to resist buying something. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful in making recommendations. The new location on Broadway is bigger than the old place on 4th Ave. This is my go-to place when I'm shopping for a gift for my niece. read more

Excellent service! My son is just starting to walk and is between sizes... I feel like we tried on every navy blue sandal they had! But the salesperson never lost her patience, and she was so sweet with my son. Sure, the shoes are expensive, but the service is so wonderful that it is totally worth it. We will definitely be back. read more

Ibiza Kidz - A great fit! - Shoe Stores Near Me - New York, New York

I have found their staff (and owner) to focus on what they want to sell. They measured my sons foot (great) and he was 9.5. I requested a size 10 (kids grow so fast) and she stated these shoes run large so he needs a 9. I said no I want a 10. She went and got the shoes and I paid. When I got home I noticed the size was a 9 (shame on me for not checking while in the store). When I called to exchange I was told there is a no return policy and he has the proper size for his foot. When I further inquired that this is not the size I requested the owner told me the larger size would not work. Needless to say I will go back to shopping at zappos for better selection and better customer service. read more

I walked in here on a whim and I am glad I did. I ended up buying a skirt for my friend's daughter and a cute pajama set for my future baby. The staff was friendly but the owner (manager?) is the true salesperson. If it weren't for her I might have walked out with nothing. Also, when I said the skirt was a birthday present she wrapped it SO nicely for me. And the wrapping was free! This place is great for interesting baby and kid clothes as well as toys, shoes and other accessories. Check it out if you're walking around Union Square! read more

In a sentance, way over priced. I bought a stuffed animal for my daughter from this store, 32 bucks. Checked on the manufactures website 15bucks. On amazon, 7.95. I wanted to buy her a dress, I couldnt find one for less than $50. I'm not a shopoholic, I dont go shopping so I feel good or that you have friendly store staff. I love a great deal and folks, in here you seldom find one. Lastly but not leastly, like to add that I used GROUPON NOW and thot I was saving $20, instead I ending up spending an additional $35 Gave it 2 stars only because they had some stuff on sale for smart shoppers. read more

I love Ibiza Kidz! This is a real gem. We have come here twice so far to buy my toddler her shoes, and we plan on coming here every time in the future, too. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They took my baby's measurements and helped her find shoes that fit well and supported her feet - a particular feat given that my toddler's little feet are particularly pudgy. They also offer to check whenever you want to make sure that they're still the right size, which is really nice. I've taken advantage of that a couple of times. Plus, they have good COVID protocols in place, and everyone over 2 is required to wear a mask. I felt safe shopping here with my little one who is too young to do so yet. They also have a wonderful selection of clothing, toys, and books- I bought my daughter a bunch of really fun things for her to play with. Come here and you'll have a great experience!! read more

Shopping with two preschoolers to get shoes is painful. At Ibiza Kidz there are bins full of toys for customers' kids to take out and play with. Staff were attentive but not pushy. I walked out with two Rainstep boots for my daughter at great discount thanks to an attentive staff, and am going back with my son for his. We'll definitely be a regular here. read more

Service was good, but if they sniff more money from someone else, you can be left waiting a bit. But they have good selection of great quality shoes. read more

Way overpriced but in a pinch I bought my nephew a toy there. Some airplanes that needed to be put together. Not one stinker stayed on. Major disappointment for him and for me. I bought my niece a top, on sale, and still not worth the price. But I do wish them luck! read more

Dear Ibiza Kids, You have the most adorable clothes in your shop, you have wonderful taste. I want to love your shop, I really do. HOWEVER, every time I come into your store you're sold out of our size or didn't order our size. I've come into your shop the past 2 weekends and each time you are out of stock. ~Hat, Glove and Mittens - Lost sale $100+ (hat and mittens sold out) - if it sells out so fast why wouldn't you either a. order more or b. offer to take special orders. ~Bunting - Lost Sale $50 ("we only ordered 9 -12 mos in fuschia not pink, pink we only have 0-3 months" - why would you have pink but not order all sizes in it??? I live in the neighborhood and I would love to shop at your store. Also, I have tons of Mommy friends and would love to recommend your shop but as it stands now I can't. Keep in mind for every 1 person that has this experience and writes something there are probably 20 others who don't write something. read more

This is a great children's store with wonderful customer service! They are especially helpful with measuring feet and recommending shoes that fit. The reward program -- where after you buy nine full prices shoes the tenth one is free -- is a nice benefit for returning customers. read more

I love Ibiza Kidz and am so glad it's in my neighborhood. Yes, it can be expensive, but it's because the store carries expensive brands -- the prices are comparable to what you would pay for the same item from online, and I would much rather give my money to a neighborhood store than Amazon or a random online retailer. They have really cute stuff, the customer service is great, and I love how involved the store is in the community, including hosting music classes, puppet shows, seminars, and even a clothing drive for refugees. My life as a parent is so much better with Ibiza Kidz around the corner from my apartment! read more

Yes, one does get sticker shock sometimes here. But, I have never experienced a friendlier and more helpful staff for kids stuff here in NYC, especially for shoes. The store has a friendly kids visiting policy; if you happen to have to bring a child in for a fitting or just to look at some clothes with you, there are store toys to keep the kid occupied and interested in between browsing. The seasonal shoe sales give steep discounts, and that offsets the original high sticker price. I sometimes buy in the shop rather than up to 30% cheaper online elsewhere because some things (like how shoes fit, or if not, returns, and also gifts) are better determined/handled in a brick and mortar store. Plus, there is more time saved browsing through a well curated real store than through hundreds of pictures at different angles of products of the same category online. People seldom admit to this, but I will- the big black hole in my time every time I try to "save time" shopping by doing it online, only to be confronted by too many choices and variations of quality v. pricing based on reading reviews and eyeballing the 1-2 pictures provided for each, is ridiculous. In a store with a good selection, merely picking up something and feeling it would give me a yes/no answer to buy in a few moments. This is not to say I don't buy online; I just feel that people should support an excellent store with great service and convenience for certain occasions, when the pocketbook allows for it. Seriously, there are only maybe 5/6 non-chain independent children's clothing/toy stores serving the downtown area between 23rd and Houston St., probably because of the high cost of rent. Manhattan parents- do we want all the good stores to move away? read more

They have a good show selection but usually not enough sizes. The satff is good with measuring feet etc. The clothes selection is veyr limited and many items, especially toys are very very over priced. I know Manhattan rents are steep, but still I won't pay 30% extra for what hey offer or convenience. Manager/owner is not that kid friendly. Makes one feel uncomfortable. But the overpricing is what really makes this a no go unless I am in a bind. Stores like Sweet William or Acorn or Kidding Around are way better. In regard to toys Barnes and Noble have a good selection at fair prices on the floor. read more

Genius store. Excellent, patient service. Prices are high and they do try to "sell" you lots of things when you visit. But, it's worth it- your kids will love it there, you'll find exactly what you want. For kids' shoes, there is no better store in lower or midtown Manhattan. And they have a shoe club! Worth every penny, AND busfare/ taxifare to get there. read more

Basically this is the only kids store I go to in my neighborhood. All of my friends have children, and no matter when I walk in, I always find the cutest clothes ever. I know my friends kids will be the best dressed in their Splendid or Ella Moss outfits. If your in the neighborhood definitely check out the store. read more
