First time here and it wasn't a great experience. We ordered the steak and it was probably the worst I've had. The mushroom pasta was greasy and lacked flavor. It was supposed to have garlic but there was none to be found. The carbonara was really salty but definitely the better of all the dishes we ordered. I guess if you're hungry and can't get a table anywhere else, come here and stick to the appetizers or maybe go for pizza. Don't expect anything special when it comes to service either.

Burrata focaccia

This restaurant was rated well and we've been having only so-so food so I was stoked to try it! Very convenient location. It does have the typical Rome alleyway with people smoking and cars going by. We started with the garlic bruschetta and burrata focaccia. The burrata focaccia was absolutely delicious, and the bruschetta was fairly good but ultimately just toasted bread with raw garlic and olive oil. I ordered the spinach ricotta ravioli as my main, and it was good but not anything that blew me away. Other members of my family got the fettuccine with Gorgonzola and walnuts and the pizza with salmon, both of which were pretty darn good. The service was great but the water could have been colder when it first came out. The wine was also good but not amazing. Decently priced. Would eat there again!

Had an amazing meal here. Very friendly service. We stumbled upon this spot and I'm glad we did. Beautiful decor. Great tasting food.

This was recommended from a tour guide and the front desk also gave an ok but it unfortunately fell short. Cacio e Pepe - over sauced with cheese as the pasta was drowning and the balance of pepper to cheese was not proportional as this signature dish of Roma was a big disappointment. Funghi Fettucine- the mushrooms were lackluster and the pasta was not al dente, as it was very poor representation of the local ingredients. The outdoor setting for Corallo is nice and the service was quick but the 2 dishes were unfortunately a poor start to the trip.

Yummy clams

My goodness!! AMAZING food and service. We came in just for a midday snack and prosecco. The steam clam appetizer was so big. I couldn't even finish. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the fried fish. Very generous portions. We of course made room for some crème brûlée and it was perfect in every way. The atmosphere is delightful in here and the staff is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First meal in Rome!

I was veryyyyyy disappointed. My first meal in a Italy and I didn't like it the pasta tasted undercooked and salty. No one liked their food in the group. I wouldn't come back. Plenty of seating, free bread (which was hard and cold), bottled water (have to pay), and nice waiters.

Great location, close to piazza navona and to multiple bars and restaurants. Good ambiance, service was also good. I had a pizza. Nice and thin with a crispy edge. Fresh mushrooms, savory sausage and great tomato sauce. Ate the whole thing, paired up with a cold moretti beer . If you like this review don't forget to click on any of the CFU buttons.

Went here for lunch, got a bruschetta and the cacio e pepe in a parmesan bowl! Both were very good. The girl serving us was nice as well.

Tostada Bianca - toast with olive oil and garlic

Great hidden restaurant, first time we tried to enter it was close to 2pm they were closing, came back at 7pm and restaurant had no lines. After dinner there was easily a hefty waiting line. Food was relly good and tasty, the half a bottle of their home red wine was good. Will come back to try more. Waiters are very helpful and they speak english.

Stopped in on our first night in Rome. We were exhausted after traveling and wanted an early dinner close to our hotel. Il Corallo opened at 6:30 and we were seated immediately. The restaurant began filling up and was completely packed by 7 p.m. Lots of tourists but not a "tourist trap". The food was excellent and we all enjoyed our meal.

Enjoyed the fettuccini with black truffle cream - however saw other diners sending back muscles and clams 3 times - the pizza crust was awesome but it arrived cold. I liked the atmosphere and waiters were great considering level of activity this night - would come back and try again.

Top to bottom: fettuccini alla gricia con tartufo, focaccia e prosciutto crudo di Norcia tagliato a mano & diavola pizza

Delicious pizza, friendly staff, much quieter place than the main tourist hub a few blocks away.
