The sushi was interesting looking but flavorless. It was supposed to have salmon and tuna, but it is hard to find in the pink wrapping. Got takeout at this place for lunch. The sushi was all right. It was fresh and nicely packed but the hibachi lunch was gross. The sauce was way too sweet and artificial. I had to throw away the rice and veggies. Rice was plain. No taste whatsoever. The veggies were drenched in that sauce so it was inedible. I highly recommend staying away from the hibachi choices and sticking to sushi. I didn't order anything else so I can't say for the other dishes. Sadly I probably won't be back. read more

We tired one entree with a salads and one miso soup. There was also an order for 2 spicy scallop hand rolls. Honestly the sushi set was the most high end looking presentation than most take out places we have eaten at..RI, MA, and CT. Each piece of sushi had its own individual garnish and sauce. We were impressed! It was fresh, and had a great taste. So much so we order the next night the same dishes except I got a spicy salmon hand roll and upgraded my miso soup to Tom yum (wasn't to crazy about the soup)...Ikura's sushi is very very good! Young, cancel culture youth have no idea of customer service. So I ordered an entree that came with a salad. I also ordered a spicy mango shrimp roll. My entree came out first before the salad and the roll. The salad should have came out first then my roll and last my entree. I saw my roll waiting to be brought to me for 15 minutes. The salad was brought once we finished our entree. Explained this to my waitress and she stormed off without apologizing. I wanted to order dessert but another staff member gave me my check without asking if I wanted to order more food. No one came and checked on us while we were waiting and eating our meals. Japanese cuisine is bolstered with selections from other Asian countries. My sashimi deluxe included rich fatty salmon to fresh clean white fish and everything in between. The selection was as fresh as any I have ever tasted. The platter was well constructed and beautiful to behold. The individual pieces were large. Their green tea was a welcome tonic on a cool, dreary day. My daughter raved about her miso soup appetizer and sushi roll main course. For many years my family enjoyed Patsy Liquori's outstanding Italian cooking at this location. We miss Patsy's, but Ikura does this location proud with top quality food from a different part of the world. We will be back and look forward to making Ikura a culinary habit. read more

Happy to see a dine-in sushi place open up so close to my church and home. I can see that they are trying really hard but definitely room for improvement. Overall food was pretty good, definitely a few things I would get again. 1. Appetizers should have gone out together with appetizers. I don't recommend mixing entrees with apps, it's awkward when one person is eating. (Update halfway in: our crab Rangoon came in?? Isn't this an app? We all finished our entrees) 2. My friend ordered the Dinner Bento Box ($19) but received the regular chicken katsu because the bento box was only during lunch?? We were confused but would recommend having the waitress informing us before simply choosing the chicken katsu for my friend. 3. After 2 apps and 2 entrees coming out, we finally got soy saucers and plates. 4. The chicken katsu was nothing special. Just regular chicken cutlet. Would not recommend. 5. I got the spicy tube hand roll ... it was soooooo good!!! I ordered a second one 6. I'm writing this as I'm having my dinner so reviews are coming as they come. It's Friday night and there's only one waiter and it's pretty busy. 7. No music, they're lucky it was kinda loud so it wasn't so quiet and awkward 8. It's a soft opening so they don't have certain things which is fine. But my friend ordered a Thai Tea and we found out later that they weren't serving Thai Teas?? This place is our favorite sushi place in the area. We've tried almost all of them and we consistently choose Ikura for our sushi cravings. The fish tastes fresh and the rolls consistent every time. It's hard to give a place one star, the sushi was definitely not fresh, their was hair in the crab Rangoon. Jun of 2022 I ordered some of their specialty rolls that was tasteless and lacks what a true sushi roll should be, their could have been so much more potential with the price point at $13-$15 a roll. When I first order here in January 2022 the sushi was very good and deserves at least 4 stars at the time. It's very sad to see such a good restaurant take advantage of COVID to produce poor quality food. If you are thinking about ordering anything here you might want to consider something else. read more
