Had a wonderful dinner out with my daughter and her fiancé we started with the crispy duck salads which were incredible the ginger dressing was delicious and the duck was very crispy and flavourful. I ordered for my entree the seafood ramen it was amazing full of incredible fresh seafood huge sea scallops, shrimp and crab sticks. The broth was very flavourful with a nice kick to it! I couldn't finish it because it was so big so had it the next day as a leftover and it was just as good. My daughter's fiancé got the chicken potato curry which i tried and it was delicious as well. He loved it. We also got the spamoni for dessert and it was amazing and huge. My daughter got the fried squid which was very tender. I would definitely recommend going for dinner or lunch every time I go it's a hit. Drinks are very good as well.

Mall food!? Excuse me! Not your average mall food! We arrived and the man working was attentive and so happy to greet us and get us in! Very nice place, proper white crisp table linens. Definitely giving that high end feeling! Our food was amazing!!! Cooked to order, fantastic flavors and exceptional combos of ingredients to bring out the best of flavors on all the dishes! We got soup dumplings, pad Thai and mango chicken! Chef's kisssssss!

DO NOT COME HERE! i had gone here because i heard good things about this place. we had ordered the food pictured. i am so beyond disappointed. they only get 2 stars because of our waitress. nothing was wrong with the server, i appreciate all she did for us, the food being terrible isn't on her. i would recommend to stay far far away from here. although it looks nice, we sat down and they brought us water. i drank my water. after the first sip i noticed someone else's lipstick on the glass of water, i had no lipstick, lip gloss or lip balm on. i was repulsed and honestly wanted to leave immediately after seeing that. so this lets you know that their glass ware and silverware isn't being totally washed, so what if someone was sick and then you ate right after them? then what?! the soup dumplings were not good at all. the lo mein was just alright, the lamb tasted gamey and over cooked. the sesame chicken was stringy and over cooked. do not come here. opening celebration, should be seeing a closing celebrating very soon. AGAIN DO NOT COME HERE.

We were in the mall earlier in the week and saw the menu located In the display case for shoppers . Looked like something we would like so we decided to try it today for a late lunch. Ordered an Expresso martini and Mai tai and they were phenomenal. I mean they were perfectttt. Mai Tai was the perfect blend not too tart or sweet . Beautiful presentation . Expresso Martini was the perfect blend and was made just right ! Ordered the chicken pad Thai and The Sapporo Miso Ramen with Pork Belly . Both phenomenal . Pad Thai was the best I've had in this area. Right Blend of flavors and spice . Chicken was phenomenal . Fresh ingredients . Ramen was spot on. Flavorful to the end . Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. I know the location of this spot is likely why it wasn't busier it's tucked behind the old 99 at the mall and I know people frequently don't go down the corridor where the restaurants located . If you are looking for a nice Thai, Chinese or mandarin cuisine this place is a hidden gem. Really great experience 10/10!

My husband and I had a date night in this cozy and elegant restaurant. I was blown away by the food, the waitress and the service. The food and drinks were fresh and very tasty. We started with chicken lettuce wrap for appetizer and the entree. My husband had the half duck it was very flavorful and the skin perfectly crispy. I chose Thai fried whole fish with mango and it was perfect. We ended the meal with the perfect dessert sticky rice and fresh sliced mango. We are going back for sure! I highly recommend this Bistro you will not be dissapointed.

I surprised my wife Friday night for an impromptu date night. We were looking for someplace we have not been before. Being big fans of Asian cuisine and after reading prior reviews of Monsoon Bistro we decided to give it a try. Wow what a gem of place. It is in the Holyoke Mall, upper level near Macy's. We were greeted by I would assume the manager and promptly seated. Not having dined here before, we asked Ann (our server) for some recommendations. The menu was diverse and had mouth watering Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian entrees. We ordered a variety of appetizers as well as splitting an entree Satay Beef, Fried Golden Squid, Dim Sum (steamed pork dumplings), and their Malaysian Grilled Pork Chop. I also enjoyed a Thai Iced Tea. The appetizers were brought out in due course. First was the squid. This was not your typical calamari. The squid pieces were in light, seasoned tempura batter, served with flash fried green bell peppers, carrots, and onions. It had a side of a sweet/spicy dipping sauce. I normally don't eat much squid. My wife and I found Monsoon Bistro's squid to be amongst the best we have had. The four skewers of Satay Beef were super tender and savory. The Satay dipping sauce could be bottled and sold as its it was so good. The dim sum was really good. It was served in a bamboo steamer. The pork chop was served prep chopped making it perfect for sharing. It was fantastic. Seasoned with honey and Malaysian spice blend, the pork was perfectly cooked and super tender. One word of caution, it is a bone-in chop so there are bits of bone that need to be eaten around. For dessert Ann recommended the Thai Sticky Rice and Mangoes. OMG what an excellent and surprising delight. The dessert had a roll of sweetened sticky rice and a row of sliced fresh mango, with a sweet creamy drizzle, garnished with black sesame seeds. It was palette cleansing, perfect finish to an incredible meal. Ann was truly exemplary of great customer service. The cost of dinner was very reasonable for the quality of the food and the service. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

By far the BEST Asian food in Holyoke! We ate here a few weeks ago for the first time. We recently moved from LA with a ton of excellent Asian food options, so I am so happy to have found this gem in Holyoke! I was hesitant since it's in a mall, but I couldn't be more wrong! We started with the pork soup dumplings, the flavor was delicious! I will say that the wrappers are a little thick, but still overall really good. I ordered the spicy garlic sauce chicken, and the drunken noodles. My fiancée ordered the Thai green curry. I appreciate that you can choose your spice level on all the dishes, which allows you to really customize your meal for your tastes. Service was also excellent! Ann is the best.

So happily surprised by how great the food and service were! We had dumplings, drunken noodles and a Chinese dish all were awesome!

This place is unique--it's a catering business, but it sells plates of food, sort of buffet-style, for $6.50. I love how family oriented the business is, and we could read all their stories on the wall. In addition to the comfort of the atmosphere, the food was great too! You can pick either rice or noodles, and you can choose up to two main dishes of their many options. They cook chicken curry, chicken adobo, pork belly, meatballs, and more. All options smell so delicious, but I went with the chicken curry, chicken adobo, and rice. The plate is extremely cheap for what you get! The portions are large and filling, and it's a great experience to be eating there. There are not a lot of places to eat Filipino in Upstate NY, so I'd take advantage of this great opportunity to eat some delicious food! Overall, this is a unique, cute restaurant. It's a catering and choose-your-own-dish restaurant, and it's great to bring friends. Food is cheap, quality, and delicious! Will definitely be here again if in the area!

Chef Champ greeted us and learned each guest's name and showed us how to properly grab the food for kamayan. We were encouraged to grab a drink from the fridge, and I had the calamansi. We feasted on chicken lumpia with Thai chili sauce, lechon with garlic vinegar, chicken inasal, sweet and sour snapper with rice, 3 types of sauces and fruit. And as a dessert, we had beautifully prepared halo halo. After the meal, Chef Champ explained the hand painted wall and the inspiration for the design. This was such a wonderful and cozy experience. Menu changes so keep an eye out. If owner is reading this, please add fresh lumpia to the menu once in a blue moon (because that's something I've refused to try cooking at home it's too many components). For anyone wondering what that is it's a savory crepe with cooked vegetables with a sweet and salty sauce and it's so good. Halo halo was good. Reminded me of the days when my parents would buy halo halo from the Filipino storefronts on summer weekends in southern California where i grew up. I got 2, 1 for me and 1 for my fiance. It seemed as though 2 different people made our halo halos because his had coconut, mine didn't and his had a garlic aftertaste like when you cut a fruit on a cutting board after cutting garlic on a cutting board since garlic is strong. Service was so fast. It's all preorder so i ordered the day before, got a text ~15 min before my pick up time that it was ready and picked it up. It's a small place, cute and cozy for a fast meal or for takeout. We know where we'll get our halo halo fix. That and fresh lumpia are the things i eye on the weekly preorder menu

KAF is a small Filipino Market, that serves a number of prepared Filipino foods cafeteria style, and they also have a kitchen for preparing some additional menu items. I hadn't visited since before the Pandemic, but I felt KAF's lumpia calling me this week. I arrived around 5:30 and I was the only customer at that time. The cafe part of the business is in the back. There are a few tables for dining in. The atmosphere is decent, but not a selling point since the Market's merchandise is in view. Service is a hybrid model. I've always ordered at the cash register. For food that's ready, they just plate it and bring it to you. If you order from the menu, they prepare it and bring it to you. However, it's not the type of place where they bring you a glass of water and occasionally refill it. It's more like you're eating at Chipotle, except they bring your food to you. I ordered lumpia and Menudo. If you haven't had lumpia, they look similar to fried spring rolls. KAF's are filled with what seems like a cooked pork and veggie mixture that is mostly meat. It's crispy and tasty. KAF's Menudo is a stew of pork chunks, liver, potatoes, carrots, peas, etc. It tastes like a dish you might get at a Filipino friend's house. The meat and veggies were tender and the sauce was mild and savory. When I score a place like Kayumangi, I don't compare it to sit down restaurants. I compare it to other small food markets that happen to serve food. Another thing in Kayumangi's favor is that I'm not aware of other Filipino options in the nearby areas. With those caveats, I give Kayumangi 4 Stars and I will return when the mood strikes me.
