Had to head to Ikea for the delicious Swedish Meatballs with gravy, peas and mashed potatoes. The lingonberry jam ties it all together. I really enjoy the lingonberry juice which is at the drink station. They also offer a chocolate cake that is rich, decadent and satisfying. They also sell really generously sized cinnamon rolls. I love Ikea food so much, I have purchased the frozen meatballs, jarred lingonberry jam and they sell a packet of gravy. So, you can make your own Ikea meal at home. They also sell gingerbread houses at Christmas time, which is handy when my grandkids and some family friends make their Gingerbread houses with me, Grandma! The kits come with some candy, but we bought more. Also, you can make your own icing with a stand mixer. It is more sturdy that way. Some people like to use chocolate or candy melts to build it as well. In Florida we have to use candy that is humidity proof. Top tip, use sugar free starlight mints because they won't melt. Ikea's gingerbread houses are so reasonably priced. It is perfect for the family that wants to make them and don't really have time to make it from scratch.

I was a little skeptical since I haven't eaten here before and it kind of reminds me of cafeteria vibes. BUT I was gladly mistaken and wished my school cafeteria was like this because the taste was amazing! I understand why the food is so popular and not high in calories. Very healthy option and not the most expensive either. Well priced for the quantity and quality. Definitely recommend eating here if you are shopping at ikea. Service was great as usual.

My husband and I stopped by specifically to get help designing a new bedroom closet. The IKEA team member who helped us was wonderful! She listened to our storage needs and within 30 minutes, designed a fantastic closet space with shelves, hanging space, shoe compartments, and drawers -- including one for my scarves and belts. We also appreciated her recommendation on hiring a professional to install it. So thankful IKEA offers this design service! On our way out, we stopped at the cafe by checkout and got two Swedish Meatball Sundaes (with mashed potatoes) to eat on the go. A very successful visit!

It's IKEA. Clean, dependable, and great for a first apartment/dorm/accessories. They are making better, solid wood items that appear to be sturdier and might even make it through 4 years. The Christmas items are out (5 Nov) and interesting. But the kitchen accessories/containers/storage are my jam. You can get a roux spoon for $2. Thats worth the trip alone. The cafeteria is still a great lunch deal and I'm glad they finally moved groceries BEFORE the registers so it doesn't have to be 2 transactions.

I was excited for the Disney pop-up at Ikea and we had the opportunity to stop at the Orlando location, which is one of only three that has it. The idea that Stitch was lost in Ikea was a fun thought for me as well. I have to admit that I was a bit let down by the whole thing in the end though. The pop-up store is right inside the entrance and easy to walk by and Miss. We went in and looked around and they had a lot of really neat Disney themed merchandise. I enjoyed seeing the assorted artwork that they have available and if I could hang pictures where I live, I would consider buying some. If you wanted a quick Disney gift and we're in Ikea then chances are this might be a good choice. I was a bit underwhelmed by the employees working the pop-up store Although they were friendly. I asked about Stitch been lost in the store and what the deal was. The employee wasn't too sure beyond the fact that you walk through the showroom and try to find Stitch and reunited with his family. The idea is that you follow his footprints and he would be in different departments. We walked through the entire showroom and I was attempting to pay close attention to Ware. We might find them and what might be there and what we found was two locations in the showroom where they had done small displays. In the first one, there was a futon with a yellow cover, which looked like it had been decorated by Stitch. i'm not sure if the futon cover was available, but if I had that futon, I would definitely consider buying the cover. They also had a cut out of him up on the wall. The second one we found was in one of their little room set ups with a children's bedroom with a small Christmas tree, where there were a handful of gifts underneath that were all broken open, presumably by Stitch. There was also a cardboard cut out of him in a window where he was shown to be inside a gift box. It was cute, but somehow I just expected more. If you were shopping at IKEA, then it might be worth stopping if you are a fan but otherwise Ikea has pretty much everything you can want for your home and I do shop here frequently and this visit I ended up just buying a tin of Christmas cookies, but I do like them.

The food was good as usual, just like the first time I visited this IKEA, and the layout was almost the same as the one in California. The employees are friendly in the food court area. I went there for the food, but the time was good too.

When one hears IKEA, it's only natural that allen wrenches and challenging furniture assembly guides come to mind. The IKEA store, while admittedly confusing in its layout, is a far better experience than putting together a dresser. With two floors to explore, my step counter on, and time not a factor, I enjoy meandering to gather ideas for room set ups besides looking at individual pieces of furniture. The sections devoted to kitchen items are probably my favorites. I purchased a strainer the last time I visited, and the microwave dish cover is very affordable at under $1. Plush toys for the kids surprised me, and it causes me to wonder what I'll find that I was not looking for when I arrived. One walk-through flow design I appreciate: the furniture pick up is located immediately before checking out. No lugging big, heavy, and sometimes awkward boxes throughout the store. A good-sized café is situated on the second floor and other distinctly Scandinavian foods and beverages are located in a section strategically by the check out registers. Misc: Arrows on the floor keep you headed in the right direction. Store employees have been helpful but not always in the places one might need them. A free family membership and rewards program is available. Short-term parking spots are located close to the exit to ease the loading of large boxes. The best experience IMO is to not try to rush through the store, if you can.

Poor quality. Paid $250+ for each HEMNES book shelf and both were cracked, broken, misaligned. Very disappointed.

We really love IKEA. It's a bit of a drive for us but when we get the chance to go it's always impressive to walk through the showrooms on the second floor to see how their products can change your living space. They do it so well I make sure my kid is wearing something cute so I can take pictures and portraits of him as they always come out so great. Everything is very affordable as is the cafe food. You have to get the Swedish meatballs and the chocolate cake is divine. Free coffee for IKEA members which is free to sign up for. Also they send you a free $10 to spend on your birthday with that free membership. All checkouts are self checkout but there is someone there to help if needed. Grab some ginger snaps on the way out as they are paper thin and melt in your mouth. Going to IKEA makes me want to remodel my entire house every time

When shopping for a house remodel at IKEA be sure to stop by the Bistro located by the cash lanes for a quick cheap snack. This pictured meal was all less than $6! The bistro is very clean for the amount of foot traffic, especially since this was on a weekend the busiest time and the servers are quick and try to get the food to you ASA. The veggie dog with all the toppings is always delicious and very flavorful (I prefer this over a regular hotdog) while the pretzel has been out for a bit and was a little hard unfortunately because they are perfect when fresh with the spicy mustard. The frozen yogurt comes in either strawberry or vanilla (vanilla pictured) and you can get a cone or in a cup, the choice is yours and will always be fresh. If these items aren't for you they also have cheese pizza slices or a whole pie and they also have cinnamon rolls.

A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.

My wife and I had a fortuitous baby sitting miracle and decided to celebrate! We pre-paid $438 and ordered a nice $60 Uber from New Tampa to make night of it! When we arrived, there was no one to greet us. We stood around with a group of equally confused looking patrons by the front door. Finally a young woman approached and asked for our name. She wrote it down on paper for some reason (mistaking a hyphen for an apostrophe, but that's not a big deal). Then another young lad came out and said the following: "I'm sorry, we are overbooked. Was it a late reservation?" "Well, gosh yes... " "If you booked with Resy we have no control over it. I'm sorry. You need to contact them for a refund." Then she walked away. I'm sure she may have been warmer or given a sincere apology in the moment, but it didn't feel like it. It felt like getting bad news from Mr. Spock after Kirk had told him he'd had relations with his sister. In mild first-world shock, we wondered outside, before returning to ask "actually, wtf?" At that point we were saved by Mr. Ryan, who was actually apologetic, offered us a glass of wine, and said that that lady was having a bad night. We sat at his bar drank the free wine while we found a table at Haven on Open Table, and watch the increasingly growing crowd of confused patrons pile up in the non-existent waiting area. Apparently the owner/chef is in Thailand or something. It shows. This place is a clown show. Put Ryan in charge, or at least give everyone else a squishy nose and a flower that sprays Pinot into the mouths of people who feel like idiots.

I drove 100+ miles and picked up my kitchen. After spending a few hours assembling the cabinets I realized that the cabinets were not the right size. 30" vs the 36" I had indicated that I needed. I was Not happy but decided to just deal with it and use what I was sold. When I went to install the cabinets on the wall I realized that the over the refrigerator cabinet was 24" deep instead of the 14" that I had requested to match the depth of the rest of the cabinets. This was a deal breaker for me as this cabinet door would not open due to it hitting the refrigerator hinges. I called customer service and spoke with someone that I could barely understand and explained the situation. When I was done explaining, the line was disconnected!!!. I started over and spoke to another person that was hard to understand with a dog barking in the background. This person set me up with an online appointment to resolve the problem. Six hours later I had the online appointment where the nice person that I could understand explained to me that they only designed kitchens and had no authority to resolve the situation. He then gave me a phone number to call to resolve the situation which was the same number that I had originally called. I called again and the individual I spoke to didnt seem to have enough knowledge about their product to help me. At this point I asked to return the cabinets. Ikea will pick up the cabinets in 9 DAYS. Then 5-6 business days later I will be refunded the money.
