Such an amazing experience; hands-on, fun, and surprisingly informative. The chef was super knowledgeable and approachable, making even tricky techniques feel doable. We cooked a full meal from scratch, learned pro tips along the way, and actually nailed it. ‍‍ Left with a happy stomach, new skills, and serious inspiration for my next dinner party. 10/10, would absolutely do it again!

I visited Sur La Table cooking class with my husband. This was our second visit. We didn't have a great visit the first time, but we decided to give it a try again many years later. Did not love this time either unfortunately. This class is really a technique class where a chef is teaching you technique and it's less about the cooking and more about the technique of what you were making. This is fine but I can cook or follow a recipe so the class is super slow for me. You may a lot of money to attend these classes. About $100 or more per person. The value just is not there for what you are getting from my perspective.

Attended a cooking class. They have a nice variety of classes and the instruction was great but honestly feels a little overpriced. They use meat/groceries from Costco, nothing fancy. And when you are done with cooking, you have to stand around your workstation to eat your creation. I would have expected a seating area to enjoy our food and offering to go boxes if we would like to take our food home instead.

Chef V did a fabulous job with our class. She was attentive and ready to assist or answer questions. There were also extra employees in the kitchen to help. The class was fun. We learned new techniques and then got to enjoy a nice dinner. Thanks Chef V!

I finally got a chance to book a weekday cooking class at this location! This was a Tuesday evening private class and overall had a very fun experience with my cousin. We made fresh pasta from scratch and marinated steak with a side of salad with vinaigrette.I will definitely recommend if you are curious and want to take a cooking class here. The chef was very helpful & professional. My next class will be the chocolate croissant class !!! Super excited.

Sur La Table is the perfect date night location! My man is a terrible cook, but he tries and he really loves sushi so I thought this would be a perfect outing for his birthday. It was a very interactive class where your work with partners in groups of 4. We hand rolled a salmon sushi, made multiple types of tempura. At first I was a little upset at how little food we were making but in the end, we all were too full to even finish majority of what we made. The only downside to the cooking classes is that u can't take anything you made home. I definitely plan to attend more classes with friends in the future.

I love Sur La Table. They have #cookinglessons and so much household items and authentic ethnic items like pasta and oils. We were able to sample their delicious warm apple cider. See photos.

I've always been a huge Sur La Table fan from their customer service to their unique products. I recently went on a date night cooking class and it went above and beyond to exceed my expectations. The Date Night: Steak the Tuscan way class was $89 per person. The menu for the evening included: -Pan-Roasted Steak with Capers, Arugula, and Parmesan -Homemade Tagliatelle with Pancetta and Peas -Homemade Pasta Dough -Dark Chocolate-Espresso Budino We started off the class with complimentary wine and the chef told us the basic skills. It was 4 to a station and an excellent way to meet new people! The class was roughly 3 hours with a break in between to shop and explore. The bonus was you can get 10% off anything in the store and I definitely took advantage of that. When we got back from prepping our steaks and pasta, it was time to cook! The process was so much fun and engaging and the steak wasn't bad either. We ended the night with a dark chocolate budino made by the chef and some amazing interactions. I would love to come back, especially for their dessert nights. Honestly one of the best date nights in Tampa this far!

The sales rep did open the box to check the product for any defects and did find a few but stated they will remove by washing them with a little soap. After taking the product out of the product and following her advice I noticed not only did the spots not come off I found scratches on the interior of the pan as well. At this point I decided to return the item and purchase the updated version of the pan from another retailer since they did not carry the Signature stainless steel collection. The woman who handled the return was not apologetic and in fact made comments suggesting it wouldn't interfere with the functionality of the pan. Considering their self proclaimed propaganda, they are one of the finest so why should I accept this especially considering the price you pay? If this is what occurs during the manufacturing process I can only imagine how the pan will behave once I begin to cook with it. If the price reflected the damage than maybe that would be acceptable but it didn't. I purchased new in the box and expected the condition to be as described. May not have written this review if it wasn't for how the return was handled. I was considering returning to the store the following week because there were a few other items that caught my eye but I will now shop at the Orlando retailer or possibly online but I prefer to support local brick and mortar stores whenever possible so Orlando traffic here I come!

After meeting with numerous kitchen design companies, I choose to work with Michael. Michael presented me with not only the most cost efficient option but also was very knowledgeable and willing to work with me. When I was initially looking for a kitchen designer I thought I wanted someone with a showroom and who would act as a project manager. However, I quickly learned that neither a showroom nor project manager was necessary. They met with me at our house to discuss the design and project multiple times (and would have met with me more if I had asked him to). They were also always willing to give me his opinion regarding colors, hardware, etc. and guide me as needed. What I especially liked about them is the straight forward manner and honest opinion. The crew were extremely professional and I enjoyed working with them. As with any major renovations there were small issues that arose during the process but they jumped in and corrected the issues immediately. The finished work product looks great and the design is terrific. I highly recommend Revive Design and Renovation

Our instructor was celebrity chef, Whitney Miller, winner of Master Chef (season 1). The Epicurean Theatre is a gorgeous and very modern culinary classroom in the Epicurean Hotel in South Tampa. The culinary classroom has a kitchen in the front of the theatre for the instructor/ chef and stadium-style seating for the students. (If you want a seat near the front of the class arrive early!) Flat screen televisions are located in the front corners of the classroom to display close-ups of the food as it is being prepared. The layout of the classroom allows participants to eat and drink while watching a cooking presentation. After the chef completes each course of the meal the Epicurean's wait staff serves the dish. Whitney Miller was so charming and entertaining throughout our class. I loved her stories about growing up in Mississippi and being a contestant on the Master Chef. Her menu in our class included some of her favorite Southern dishes: First Course: Arugula Salad with Grilled Figs, Homemade Buttermilk Ricotta Cheese, Crispy Prosciutto and a Citrus Vinaigrette (Wine Pairing: Schiopetto Pinot Grigio) Second Course: BBQ Shrimp and Cheese Grits (Wine Pairing: Black Bird Rose) Third Course: White Chocolate Bread Pudding (Wine Pairing: Rosa Regale) Everything was so delicious and I cannot wait to make these dishes at my home! Confession: I probably won't make my own ricotta cheese for the arugula salad because who has time for that?! We received so many great cooking tips from the class and I plan on purchasing Whitney's cookbook so I can introduce my husband to more Southern cooking. If you are interested in taking a class at the Epicurean Theatre I highly recommend it! They offer a variety of classes from cupcakes to cooking to wine or even speaking a foreign language. They even offer brew bus tours! The classes range from $45-$125. Our Master Chef class cost $65 per person which wasn't a bad deal in my opinion considering we received a two hour demonstration from a celebrity chef, a three course meal, and three wine tastings. Can't wait to take my next class at the Epicurean Theatre!

I went to a great event here called Cupcakes and Cocktails held by Chef Beth Lukens, who owns and…read moreoperates the local company Cloud 9 Confections. Everything about this event was fun. Just like you see on cooking shows, Beth stood in front of the 3-tiered seating area, with a camera on her, and a camera overhead showing inside the pot she was cooking in. Beth is an experienced baker, and I loved that in addition to demonstrating how to make the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan cupcake, she also gave us helpful tips for substitutions and shortcuts. In addition to cupcakes, the event included 3 cocktails, specially designed to compliment the cupcakes we would be taking home. Pumpkin Prosecco - made of champagne and pureed pumpkin, Hard Apple Cider - made with gin, cider, and fresh crushed grapes, and a Bourbon Cocktail - but after the first two drinks, I have no recollection of what went into this last one. It was great, though! :-) Roger, the bartender from the hotel restaurant Élevage, came in each time to explain his concoction, which was really a nice personal touch. After Beth demonstrated how to make the first cupcake, all the participants went down to group stations where we got to frost our own cupcakes. She had all the different cupcakes lined up for us, as well as the different bags of frosting. First we did our own Bourbon Chocolate Pecan cupcake - by scooping out the inside to fill it with pecan filling, then frosting it with a thick bourbon chocolate buttercream, and sprinkling roasted pecans on top. Next was the Hard Apple Cider cupcakes with cinnamon buttercream. And finally we did the Pumpkin Spice cupcake, with a sweet cream cheese frosting. I have to admit, there was a LOT of taste-testing the frosting, even after the cupcakes were all frosted. Beth even provided plastic cupcake containers, so our 6 masterpieces (2 of each flavor) could travel in safety and comfort. I would definitely do another event here - it was very well organized, and in addition to the promised take home cupcakes, we were also provided with recipes on how to make the different cupcakes and frosting. The only thing that wasn't cool, and wasn't mentioned ahead of time, is that you had to pay $5 for valet, which also meant tipping too. I think the Epicurean Hotel needs to include this in the cost of the class, or let people self-park in the spots they have available for the wine store or bakery. Other than the parking, an A+ event from start to finish. Support local small businesses and go check out Beth's webpage, too - yum!
