One thing I did not know is that IKEA has breakfast in the morning. It's literally been a game changer since the kids have been out of school. They have something for everyone and I believe it's not a bad price. Recent visit When we shop at IKEA, we usually always make a stop at the café or the restaurant before we leave. We came in for some kitchen essentials and also to look at some couch options, which we did end up, finding a couple things. We stopped at the restaurant upstairs & decided to get the Swedish meatballs plate, and chicken tenders for my kids wasn't too bad, but the prices have definitely gone up for the chicken tenders which lacked any kind of seasoning and very overcooked. Now down at the café, they serve hotdogs, pizza, ice cream, pretzels, cookies, and even coffee options. The kids liked their hotdog and pizza and we usually end up getting a pretzel to go .Pretty good food and for the price unbeatable.
We've been going to this IKEA for a while now and the pictures of their food always entice but we never end up eating there because it's so busy. We went one weekday afternoon and it wasn't as packed so we were able to go and have some lunch. We order two kids meals, the meatballs and chicken tenders. For adults, we tried the desserts and food. I might not be a Swedish food person but nothing tasted good. It was cheap food for a cheap price. I can't say that I liked anything. There was plenty of seating and it was quiet. Staff didn't seem to enjoy their jobs and was just there to collect a paycheck. Sad to say it's our first and last time there!
I have been here several times. But I wasn't have a chance to review their restaurant. Finally I have some picture while I visited. I like scandinavian food. Typical in the Sweden is their typical meat ball and gravy. I got to select two sides as mash potatoes and scrambled egg. Those are delicious. I also got the grilled salmon with sweet sauce and mixed veggies and mash potatoes. Those is good selection too. We also got a sweet pie to close it out. Overall this restaurant is easy and very affordable.
Went on a Thursday, very quiet and plenty of places to sit. So they have an area where you can get the food out yourself like cakes, fruit, jello, wraps, etc. There is then the area to get your food and have them put it on your plate like buffet/cafeteria style. You then go and pay and utensils, drinks are on the side. I see there is a microwave for a reason. My meatballs were cold...well it was all cool, but it was good low key. Salad was worth all of the $2. :) I just needed a little snack and it is my first time trying it
I went here close to the closing time. First thing I notice is that the place was a bit confusing to find if it's your first time going, but the staff were very friendly helping showing the way. Even though it was very latex people in the restaurant were friendly too. I had some swedish meatballs, fried chicken, mac and cheese and salad. The meatballs had a nice flavor. The chicken was tasty, but a bit dry. And the salad was fine, but some of th vegetables did not feel very fresh. Overall, really good. I will go back soon again!
Cheap and fun You can order their kids meal to try their Swedish meatballs or veggie balls. Love their ice cream
I finally made it to an IKEA!!! It's been on my bucket list forever! The meatballs lived up to the hype. They are flavorful and soft. The gravy, mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce is what makes the meal though. They even had had a vegetarian version for my niece. I would have brought home tons of other foods if I hadn't have had to get on a plane the next day. Why can't we get an IKEA around the Capital Region!!? Don't get me started on all the little useful items I bought in the kitchen/furniture area. I stuffed my suitcase full. They confiscated my mustard/dill sauce at airport security but everything else made it through.
IKEA, besides going for home furnishings, there are activities. Tonight was the Midsommer Dinner. Nice turnout. It's an all you can eat dinner. Salad, appetizer, entree, dessert and non alcoholic drinks. Also, an activity too. Everything was pretty good. I didn't care for herring tonight too much or the salmon because it was a little dry. I really like the sparkling blueberry juice. Tonight, I didn't go through the store but any other time I would go room to roo. The staff worked so hard and it was good.
Love those little meatballs We made the trek from Sarasota to Tampa to visit IKEA, the huge home furnishing store. No visit is complete without having some of their Swedish Meatballs, which I did. They have a very large upstairs dining area where food is available cafeteria style and you bus your own table by returning your tray and dishes to a tray holder rack. It was surprisingly not busy when we arrived, we had our choice of tables. They didn't have any meatballs. At least they told us they would not have any for about 15 minutes. My wife selected the fish so she could eat and get shopping, I waited for my food, and as you can see in my photo the wait was successful. The meatballs with the gravy were great, and the savory went very well with their Lingonberry Jam. I've never heard of Lingonberries outside of my experiences with IKEA, it is just something else that makes IKEA cool. The dish included a scoop of bland mashed potatoes and some overcooked peas. They also don't offer Coke or Pepsi products, instead a different brand of cola.
I Don't really go to ikea or have any of their food but my fiancée suggested it and this is why I liked it! As you enter the store you notice it's extremely busy, lots of moving people and cool furniture to see. The ambiance does feel chaotic because there is a large amount of people shopping around for furniture. The staff are polite and helpful. We ordered a hot dog and slice of cheese pizza once we got done shopping. The hotdog is pretty plain, not much seasoning or toppings to it and it is steamed. It's also tiny compared to other hotdogs you can buy. Same goes with the pizza. Plain slice of cheese pizza. Is it the best hotdog and pizza? No. Is it the worst hotdog and pizza? No. Is it worth the price you pay? Absolutely! The hotdog was $1 and I believe the pizza was $1.99. Because of this super affordable price in a very unaffordable world I give them a 4/5!
We ate here after hours of browsing the huge store. We came in late afternoon so when we arrived at the Cafe it seemed like alot of items might have been already wrapped up for the night. We both had the Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and peas and beans. It tasted great of course after our miles long journey thru the store... lol. Being the end of the night they ran out of cooked meatballs right after my wife got hers. So I waited a few minutes and they had a bunch more being cooked coming out. 2 meals , 2 garlic breads, a dessert and a fizzy drink was about $27 bucks. There were minimal napkins also when I went searching by the condiments. We had been here before but we never ate here. Would recommend. Being the end of the night and with shorter staff on hand there were some trays on tables left over from someone eating. But I don't think they also understood you have to return they to these racking stations. Had ikea style decoration throughout the Cafe.
I am not a fan of the screaming children and it is very noisy with the sound of rattling dishes, but every day there is a good salmon offering and I get a free cup of excellent coffee by scanning my free IKEA Family card. Today, I ate a delicious, fresh romaine salad with feta and salmon, plus 2 cups of coffee, of course.
Service was nonexistent. I spent $900 yesterday and $1,700 today. Yesterday, I had no one offer to help load . I asked at checkout for assistance today. I had 2 carts , and no one helped me out. But the gal at the register said there should be someone outside. I saw the guy as I walked out and asked him to help me load... ya, no problem, he says. Then disappeared. I finished loading 2 carts when he walked back out to take my empty carts away! Wow. Unbelievable lack of service. Will not be back. Unless I have returns!

We went on a Saturday morning for some shopping and stopped in for lunch at their cafeteria around 12:30 pm. They only had a couple of workers behind the counters cooking and serving and only 1 cashier. The line was long and we waiting in line about 25 mins to get through, I think they ran out of food and had to wait for more to be brought up front. The food is ok, and I would eat here again, but it lacks seasoning. It is good for kids, not so much for adults. read more

What happened to cheap food at ikea lol. It was $10 for an adult meal or $5 for a kids meal so I ordered a kids size Swedish meatball dish for my toddler and I since I wasn't that hungry yet. It was only 430pm. It was that long of a line. The chocolate cake was weak and dry. The meatballs were okay. I liked the peas and mashed potatoes with the gravy but again, it wasn't anything to go nuts over. Typical cafeteria food only it's more expensive now. Inflation I guess. The cashier was nice. read more

Huge bistro serving breakfast, then lunch/dinner. Employees were pleasant. Very clean. I can't help it. I ordered what I always do, the Swedish meatball meal. As always, it was delicious. The desserts are always great as well. Calories mean nothing here, since you will walk it all off anyways, right? This particular IKEA restaurant is located on the second floor and is in the corner of the building so has plenty of places to sit and relax, especially for families. Huge bathrooms are located behind the bistro. I overheard a naysayer griping about the view of the parking lot. Obviously they must not have been able to look up a few inches to see the lovely view of the Tampa skyline. We actually liked sitting there, eating our meal with that view. Remember to bus your tray! read more

I had the shrimp sandwich and I haven't had that since I went to Sweden! It was good for a premade sandwich. Wish they would add to a fresh, room temperature croissant, but... My son enjoyed the swedish meatballs, Mac and cheese, fruit cup and mashed potatoes. The Daim cake was yummy! We even picked one up for the ride home. I was disappointed that the prices were incorrectly marked on some items. I went and asked the cashier and she said they never update the prices on the case and they change them every few weeks. Disappointing that wrong prices are acknowledged and nothing is done. IKEA is cafeteria style, so you serve yourself and clean up after yourself. read more

Stopping by IKEA to buy some home furnishings means a stop by their bistro for some of their "famous" meatballs. I truly believe they're famous cause they don't serve anything else better...plus the meatballs stay somewhat moist even though they're sitting in a steam table all day long. On my recent visit this last weekend, I stopped by when I was starving and trust me, that's the worst time to go, but a good time since you don't need wait for some to assemble your food; it's right there for someone to scoop it up. 3/5 Garlic Toast $0.69 was ok...a little dry and cold since it was probably sitting there for a while; they didn't have anything to keep it warm like a heating light. 4/5 Meatballs $5.99 was the best thing on the menu and what I suggest ordering; it comes with 2 sides and I received mashed potatoes and steam vegetables. The saving grace is the gravy they used to coat the meatballs that keep them somewhat moist. 1/5 Beef Tenderloin $8.99 was a waste of money; beef was dry and hard on the edges. I needed to return it for another plate of meatballs and unfortunately I didn't get the difference back, but that's because the line to pay was long and I decided to forego it. 3/5 Chocolate Cake $2.99 was decent; I've had much better but for a place that just prides itself on a dollar ice cream and soda, it was a bit high for the quality received. Overall friendly service and ok food if you're not that picky; definitely stay with the meatballs as nothing else there really moves. read more

I am absolutely appalled. I understand IKEA is not a 5 star restaurant but cleanliness is expected of any business that sells food. Coming out of a worldwide pandemic, cleanliness and safety are at the forefront of everyone's minds, especially mine. Finding hair in my food was no exception. I am completely disgusted and I couldn't even finish my food. I hope the employees here don't take lightly the sanitation and FDA guidelines pertaining to cleanliness in the kitchen. read more
This might sound funny but..IKEA bistro has the best food ha! They are also really cheap and it's pretty clean. They have vegan options too. My favorite things to get are the veggies balls with French fries, nordic grains, and ragout, with lingonberry overtop. Also their veggies dogs are amazing too. I think they might be made from the veggie balls, either way. So good. Their lingonberry juice is really good too! They have other options like salmon and chicken but I can't say much about those since I don't partake in eating There's usually a long line but it goes quickly. My boyfriend and I can eat at IKEA for lunch for less than $10 each. There's a ton of seating and they also serve dessert. Although none of them are vegan so far that I've seen but they look good and fresh. IKEA bistro is a great bite to eat before or after browsing around and shopping. read more

Four years since eating here last and my experience was again underwhelming. The space has expanded the seating area, but "help/adequate employees" is still at issue. I got there at 9:30 for breakfast. They'd only been open half hour. "Sorry, sold out of eggs." No signs indicating their special Swedish meatballs is after 11 only. I settled on 2 tasty children's Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce and a side of bacon (2 strips). The register clerk was new with a trainer with her. She was more distracted with her own conversation than serving me, the customer. She took FORever to count change back due to "chatter" (I was in a hurry and had just been behind dawdlers making decisions to save money and split the same kids meal 4 ways). Can't guarantee you'll get a HOT breakfast. The bacon was undercooked, blubbery but edible. Enjoyed the crepes (pancakes) and jam. Saw some great salads and grab & go meals on the other side but got shooshed out of the unopened side yet. Had I seen a good menu or been allowed to preview the food, they might have sold some more items after shopping. All in all, I wouldn't come here JUST to eat. Too chaotic & disjointed. Didn't like being asked for a tip prior to any tippable service provided. It's cafeteria style, you get your own silverware, toss your own trash and wipe your own table. I'll stick to shopping. But would love a great eating experience. read more

Really love how simple and straightforward it is to get food here. Lines can be a little slow depending on when you show up, but overall the experience is good. I love coming here for the go to Swedish Meatballs. The meatballs are always just the right consistency. They have some chew to them but not super hard or rubbery like some places. The cream sauce that they put over the meatballs adds to the richness of the meal and perfectly fits with the mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables that come with your meal. Finally, how can you pass up the dollop of lingonberry jam that they give you? Nice and tart like cranberry sauce, it is the perfect way to provide flavor contrast to your meal. But even if you're not here for the meatballs, they have plenty of other options, ranging from smoked salmon to salads. They also have various fresh made desserts. Overall, a fantastic place to go to for a quick and inexpensive meal :) read more

I am not sure of the previous reviews but my experience was great! The place is busy and I get see how you can get lost at options and what to choose for meal options. But it's really simple you either wasn't the cold section or hot section. You either want dessert or bread. But before all this, don't forget to get your glass at the beginning of the line in order to get your drink from the fountain. Also, utensils and salad dressing is together after you buy your order. The dressing is limited to only four options based I what I saw. You have multiple locations to get utensils so be mindful. Also the drink options are the basic but with a some tasty spritzers. I had the pear spritzer and it was sooo good. For my lunch I had a Blueberry/walnut salad with smoke salmon. Small side of potato salad and a piece of garlic bread. With the drink my meal was $6.00 even. Now that was a GREAT price! The cashiers were very helpful with your needs. I can truly say I would definitely be back. read more
One thing you can say about IKEA, they feed you well and keep you in their store to spend money! Whether you stop in for an inexpensive breakfast or lunch here, the prices are great and the food is fresh and plentiful. The classic meal here is the Swedish meatball dinner, which includes 6 meatballs, some mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, and a smattering of cranberries. You are full after this meal, and it's around $5. They offer breakfasts that are around $4. They don't gouge you on the price which is great, and as well they shouldn't. It takes forever to get out of their store and they know it. :) read more
