First time at Homesense and was blown away by how big the store is. It's very well organized and…read moresome items are organized by color as well, which is a nice touch. Lots of clearance items. I ended up purchasing three classic books which I've seen similar copies at Barnes & Noble for $30 each and I got them for $12.99 which is a steal. Also found a puzzle that was missing a price tag but the cashier was kind enough to locate a different puzzle and give me that same price. I've been to stores where if it doesn't have a price tag they don't let you buy it so I really appreciated that. As I was coming in, there were three employees helping load up a truck full with rugs which is above and beyond what I would have expected. They have home delivery options, which make shopping for larger furniture, easily accessible. They also have some unique pieces that I haven't seen anywhere else. Will definitely be returning soon!

They have a sign right in the front stating their covid capacity - 161 if I'm not mistaken. There's no way this place wasn't exceeding that. So. Many. People. And when the shelves and walkways are crammed full of stuff, it's just not an ideal shopping situation for me. They did have someone right at the front who was responsible for cleaning carts, which was appreciated. We were on the hunt for a larger piece of furniture. Didn't find what we were looking for, but they have a lot of different styles in chairs, desks, tables etc. I would caution that, if you do find something you like, check it thoroughly before purchasing. Many items seemed to have dents and dings from being on the floor with carts pushing past. This is definitely a spot you might find a treasure, especially in the clearance sections, but it will take some time and effort to find.

He has replaced 3-of my mattresses at no charge. Honored Manufacturing Warranty. And, he would have honored them and not charged me! People, don't go to Mattress Firm and pay off the wall for those mattresses and don't listen to people who say,"furniture stores don't give the same quality as those who only sell mattresses." That is not true!! This man, will beat anything, "Mattresses Firm," has! Also, I was given a very special gift. A rug, that I "Fell in Love With." Also, I have several pieces of furniture in my home from this furniture store. I always remember, " how wonderful this man is to me." Well what do you know, you wouldn't believe we decided to try another store to look for more furniture options. So here we are at Havertys Furniture to see what options we may find here!. My wife and I walked in and were greeted immediately by a store employee by the name of Andre. He asked us what we're looking for and what are the must haves involving the pieces we were searching for. We told him and he was on top of things showing us a very nice furniture set. He then showed us another set. We were amazed at each set of furniture he showed us. Now we have to decide if we're going to pursue one of the furniture sets he showed us or are we going to continue to look for other options. My wife and I haven't decided which route we are going to take but we will decide sooner or later! As I said in a previous review, always weigh all options and see which one fits best in your home!. I would definitely recommend and return here if we decide on one of the furniture sets we seen here at Havertys Furniture!.

Alex is respectful, knowledgeable, patient, professional, and genuinely kind. From the moment we walked in, he took the time to explain everything step by step, making sure we understood all of our options. We had a difficult time deciding on the right products, but he never once made us feel rushed or pressured. Even if he had other customers or appointments waiting, he never let it show. During our entire visit, we felt like we were his top priority. Unfortunately, this level of customer service has become rare. Alex's passion for helping customers, attention to detail, and professionalism truly set him apart. He is an incredible asset to Bob's Discount Furniture. In my opinion, he has all the qualities of a future District Manager, Regional Manager, or even a corporate executive. Because of the experience Alex provided, I will gladly recommend Bob's Discount Furniture to my family, friends, and members of my church. I'll also encourage them to ask for Alex specifically because I know they will receive the same exceptional service we did. Thank you, Alex, for making what could have been a stressful shopping experience enjoyable and memorable. Bob's Discount Furniture is fortunate to have you on its team.

Owner was rude! Last…read moreFebruary my husband and I flew to Norfolk and took the ferry to Portsmouth for the day. We found this shop and a beautiful (and pricey) piece of pottery in the front window that unfortunately I could not fly home with. Fast forward to today over 5 months later and it's still there. This time we drive and it was coming home. BUT... when I entered the shop the owner or employee was upstairs and when I said I needed help she continued to yell from above instead of coming down to the COMPLETELY EMPTY store. I explain I'd like to see the piece in the window and the she replies "Well I can't just take it out." I say "Even to sell?" She starts shuffling down stairs and muttering and says "I can't just take it out to look at" under her breath but loud enough for me to hear. Well that was it. We just told her not to bother herself and left. Enjoy your completely empty shop when it's closed because you can't be bothered to actually sell anything. And I agree with the owner... She had zero patience to actually sell anything. Not on the phone not doing anything but sitting upstairs and didn't want to be bothered. Just laziness. If you don't want to sell something big and can't be bothered to move it maybe don't put it in your display window or hire someone not rude and lazy. I try to shop local and support local businesses but if you don't want to be bothered and then LIE about it then you don't deserve the support. And if you were sorry you did a poor job of showing it.
