I can see why this store has bad reviews. I love IKEA, but I've never experienced such bad service. We bought a Brimnes bed at the kiosk, and you need two parts in addition to the main bed, slats and a center support beam. The sales associate didn't tell us about either one. Halfway through assembly, we ran back to the store for the slats. Almost near the end of assembly, we realized we didn't have the support beam. Had to go back again. So frustrated. IKEA can be confusing, so you have to be able to rely on the staff, but not at this store I guess. Please train your folks better! read more

I have a love hate relationship with this store. Love the displays showing modern affordable organizational concepts. I appreciate covered parking but the area leading up to the escalators smells like a badly ventilated toilet. There's no other way to describe that. The store layout feels like it's designed to route you through a maze before you can find anything or get out. Great concept to have food and drink but why charge $2 for tiny cups of diluted juice that is labeled a "smoothie". Literally 4 ounces of lightly flavored juice. I'd be open to paying more for substantive Ingredients that one could say is a smoothie. The online and store inventory status could be improved. When I do find something online, there is no delivery option based on my zip code. Meanwhile my friend 8 miles away has delivery! So I drive to the store as it shows there is ample, and there no inventory. read more

This review is simply on the poor customer service, the fact that they were more concerned with closing then helping us was a little frustrating! One of the ladies name was Malenda an elderly lady with short hair, I have worked in the hospitality and service industry for over 16 years now, and I just think 2 ladies that helped us could have a better attitude and demeanor, at least we had one friendly gentleman. Came to IKEA to get a couple of rugs and several other items, and I remembered how awesome it is to have an IKEA that is relatively close. As hard as it is to shop in-person in these days, I think IKEA set things up well to try to encourage social distancing and sanitation. But my biggest qualm was with the checkout. They only had two checkout lanes in addition to an "express" checkout. The main snaked line was significantly long and slow-moving, and people seemed to be confused as to how to direct themselves. and to which lane. It's not like the checkout lines are super cramped together that they can't have more, but I think it took longer to get checked out than it took me to walk through the entire showroom and collect my items from the warehouse. Maybe it's because they had to let go of people in the beginning of all this, and are trying to get more people to work there? Not so sure, but if it weren't for this experience, I would rate IKEA higher. read more

I really like IKEA. That said, I try to avoid going here until I need something specific. There are a couple reasons for this. First, you don't want to come here on the weekends, before holidays, etc. The crowds are significant, and it will take longer for you to park, shop, pay, and get out. Secondly, going to IKEA has a certain "Bataan Death March" quality to it. It is almost impossible to pop in, get one or two specific items, and get out in a timely fashion. The store is laid out in such a way that there is a "pedestrian flow". Some people try to move against the flow, and they create minor traffic jams. There are some shortcuts, but they are few and far between, and you may want to consult a map to locate them. If you are not in a hurry, it is easy to spend hours in an IKEA. This behavior is encouraged by the presence of a cafeteria with acceptable, if not that exciting, food. Edibles are available at reasonable prices (especially for the kiddies). The cafeteria opens 30 minutes before the store, so you can fuel-up and caffeinate-up for your impending trek. My favorite IKEA items are to be found in the kitchen section. You can find reasonably priced items of pretty good quality. I have purchased kitchen gadgets, knives, cutting boards, wooden spoons, cooking thermometers, scrub brushes, mortar/pestles, napkin holders, and more here. My second favorite IKEA sections are the model kitchens, bedrooms, and efficiency apartments. My IKEA fantasy is to one day fully furnish a new, smaller home entirely from IKEA. Not only would it be Über-cool, but it might allow me to finally get rid of some of my tired personal possessions that I keep dragging around with me. read more

I have no idea how other IKEA stores operate because I've only ever been to the one in Centennial, CO, but it's a travesty. The place is always filthy. I'm not sure why but it is. I've used the restrooms on the first floor near the entrance and it's akin to a truck stop or outdoor toilet situation in a national park. Truly heinous. There are times where I'd bet it's a safe gamble to use crime scene tape to warn people about them. The rest of the store is always a disaster. Everything is a mess and out of order. Nothing is organized despite them selling you items for organization. There's always loads and loads of sick, sniffling, smelly children running all over the place and parents who are in no way controlling them. They're literally crawling all over everything and getting in the way. Well, most of the adults seem to do the same thing. No one (NO ONE) seems to follow the pattern of the store. I mean, there's lit-up arrows on the floor guiding you through. How much easier could it get? But, in typical human fashion, 80% of the people want to travel upriver or against the grain, so to speak. Then, they get mad when you show your frustration with them. Then, we come to their inventory. I can't tell you how many times I've shopped online and using the Centennial store as "my store" that I've found awesome times that were marked in-stock only to drive all the way down there to purchase and they were not in-stock. When I found this out on my most recent trip, we even checked the computer consoles in the store and received the same result: in-stock. What's the point? Are they simply not updating any of their computer systems? It's frustrating beyond words. Finally, the bizarre dynamics of their staff. I've come across maybe two or three friendly employees but the rest are insufferably rude. Then there's the other small percentage who always make awkward small-talk with you that makes you extremely uncomfortable. Like, you're not sure if this person is going to follow you to your car or start stalking you online. This is compounded with having to wait with all the weird customers in line and their unruly rug-rats. Oh, and the self check-out lines. What is SO HARD about using something that does all the work for you? Are we truly this helpless? This should tell you how entitled and pampered these shoppers are. They literally cannot figure out how to run a barcode over a little scanner screen and then use their tap option of their credit card or Apple Watch. Wow. They always call for help. read more

Wow and Woo-Hoo!! So impressed with this store! Last time I went to an IKEA was in the Canary Islands over 30 years ago and they still provide great stuff at very good prices!! Came in with Calina for the BYOF Event. We got free bags, free coffee, free breakfast, BOGO Frozen Yoghurt and we had to try the Swedish Meatballs in cream sauce with mashed potatoes, and a little bit of lingonberry sauce for sweetness. Yummy, Yummy for the taste and for the price. Even though it was packed, the lines weren't very long and the service is awesome. The store is so clean and organized and they have thought of everything, from handrails for the kiddies, multi-tray carts, cart escalators etc, etc. You can spend all day in here and not get bored. After checking out, we stopped by at the Swedish Market and got some meatballs, lingonberry jam, cinnamon rolls and chocolates. You can even get hot dogs for 50 cents and the frozen yoghurt is $1. We purchased some organizers at a very good price and I definitely will be coming back for more stuff soon!! Only drawback is the pain of having to assemble items or pay to have someone do it for you and make sure you bring your own plastic bags or bring the IKEA Monster Bag for your purchases. A simpler cleaner way of living! Today the founder of IKEA Ingvar Karma passed away at the age of 91. He started as a teenager and now has created 400 locations and revenues of 62 billion. I went to my first IKEA in Burbank California somewhere around 1994-96, I can't remember. My second was Munich Germany and the list goes on. Every time I visit one it reminds me of living a simpler life in Spain. My first visit was the week it opened and it still holds up as one of the cleanest & greenest places to shop. It has changed so much over the 30 years it's been around. They offer child care where you can drop off you kids while you shop, eat & drink and pick them up after you have gotten all your shopping out of the way. In the grocery section you can now buy Chicken Gluten free or Vegetable meat balls. In the Art section they always have the largest Wall Art Pictures at Ross and Marshall prices. If you need kitchen dishes, glassware or supplies you can always rely of them having Restaurant and European styles. read more

IKEA, to me, was probably the coolest furniture warehouse & retail store ever created. Who knew it was equivalent to a theme park, too? Yup, according to my 10-year old daughter, it was comparable to one! This was her first visit there and it brought her so much joy! She could have stayed all day. My husband and I hadn't been to an IKEA in probably 15 years. This was a stone's throw from our hotel and was able to see from our room at the Hilton Denver Inverness, so we had to go. If you've never been to an IKEA before, don't expect to get out of there quickly. If you want to walk through the gallery, it may take you a couple hours, especially if you have children. Their senses will definitely be excited! If you're hungry, they have food! Their cafe has some fun eats, drinks and desserts, but some things are better than others. We were traveling during our visit and was our last couple days in Colorado and I knew that I barely had any room left in our luggage; however, I knew I wanted to buy some bed sheets like the ones I had purchased 15+ years ago that I loved so much. The only thing I had an issue with was how they organized the sheet sets... color coordinated. There was no other order after that + there weren't a lot of sheet size varieties in the purple and/or pink 400 & 600 count sheets. So, I ended up buying some neutral colors. They even thad the set of 3 heat cork mat kitchen mats (for pots & pans) that they had 15+ year ago. Can you believe we still had the same ones that we had from way back then? I'm so glad that they still had those. Anyway, I hope they put an IKEA in Louisiana sometime soon. The closest one to us in in Houston and driving 4 hours for one is not something I plan on doing. Told myself I'd wait 3 months for the people traffic to die down... I went the end of the 1st week. I couldn't help it, knowing it was there I just wanted to go so bad. I heard this IKEA is the 2nd largest in the U.S.... didn't hear what she said the largest was. I have been to a few in MA, CA, UT and Taiwan but this place is really huge. I didn't even bother with the cafeteria because the line was longer than the line at the checkout downstairs. I did end up buying some frozen meatballs and some gravy mix. IKEA is pretty much all the same all over the world. I love their design at an affordable price and better quality than Walmart furniture. I no longer have to make it a destination stop when I travel out of state. I will be back many times. Some people said their furniture sucks but I haven't encountered that yet. Maybe the people who said that can't put furniture together very well... *shrugs* When you check out, please look around harder. There was a line of self-checkout that was open with 4 registers and no one stood in that line. It was also slightly hidden behind a big cement post. I grew up with IKEA, Hubs does not. Recent visit was on Saturday June 1st 2013 with my parents and Hubs. Purchased bed frame and mattress. Pain in the A$$ to build it. Coz in the manual of the Purchases, they ONLY include pictures... NO INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SO EVER! But WORTH the cost and comfort to have it (aka Mattress). 3 Stars at best for IKEA coz for one, if you want to save some money, with picking up all the stuffs you need to build the stuffs at their "WAREHOUSE Loading Area". Coz IKEA charged like additional $50 if you ask the IKEA staffs to search for all the parts of your purchases etc etc. Then to save money with Delivery, coz to send where we live it will cost like additional $100, for Delivery... Hence Hubs decide to haul all our purchases in our truck/vehicle. While waiting for Hubs to haul our purchases back home, and since ALL OUR Purchases fit inside our truck and there aren't any space in our Truck for us, my parents and I decide to have Lunch here. The options for those who eat Seafood and Vegetarian are minimal, but it was sufficient that afternoon. Its good to eat Lunch early here coz when the LUNCH CROWD comes, it comes on the Drove. LUNCH : 12:12hrs YES, you queue up for the food. Line by line. All the food are ready made, either in those HOT TRAYS what nots. Here were the items we choose that afternoon. Greek Salad $3.99 North Atlantic Saithe $5.99 Swedish Tapas $3.99 Mushroom Crepes $2.99 Garlic Toast $0.99 Rest. Coffee $0.75 Rest. Soda $1.49 Total cost for Lunch was $21.55 Cashier was Andrea R. My parents said the food was just "MEH" to them, at least it was edible. I guess they are NOT used to "cold" dishes, as such. Though I cannot deny, one of the Dish aka Mushroom Crepes was on the Lukewarm side. I may return to have either Brunch or another Lunch or Dinner options with Hubs in the future. 10 days after opening and it's still ridiculously crowded. The Argus Event Staff that was hired to direct traffic crack me up. They stand there and point over and over again in the only direction your car can go, and they get paid for it. Lucky bastards. We had to maze through the parking lot and up escalators only to find we had to wait in line to go up the final flight of stairs. It only took about 10 minutes total, but it felt weird waiting in line to get into a store. Big parking structures, lines, florescent lighting, cops standing around... it felt a lot like DIA. I love Ikea for the sole reason is that it reminds me of home. Yeah most of the furniture is crap, but it reminds me of shopping with my parents when I was a little kid and being really excited for the white plastic bedroom set they were buying me (some of which is still at my mom's house). Speaking of children... if you don't like them, don't go here. The children's furniture area is truly terrifying. I saw at least 10 unattended kids running around playing, jumping on couches, pulling stuffed animals out of the bins etc. The parents were all trying to find a good deal and really were not paying attention to their kids at all. I think some people need to be reminded that Ikea is not a daycare center, although it is EXTREMELY family friendly. I do love the "marketplace". It wasn't all that crowded considering the rest of the store was packed to the brim. I got a few mugs for $1.40 and some bowls for $3.99. Their dishes actually hold up pretty well. I've had some for about 10 years now, and they look good as new. We didn't eat there because the line was atrocious, so we'll have to go back at some other point to eat those disgusting looking meatballs, if only for nostalgia's sake. read more

Yes, we didn't realize how many we had do we had to come back. Well, we made trips, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and while it was less busy on Thursday the weekend was not terrible at all. People went about their shopping fine and leaving was effortless I love the selection, prices and variety of finishes on the furniture. My service was ok... until it wasn't. I love the prices and selection of items so much that I made my whole kitchen out of IKEA appliances. I recently redid my whole kitchen and had a couple of items I didn't use so I had to return a few things. When doing this I had to take my children with me because their too young to be home alone. My two girls and my one boy were with me and were browsing around the warehouse just to pass the time as I returned my stuff. When doing this, an awfully rude lady yelled at my child when she dropped her hair tie behind a box and bent down to grab it, she yelled at them and made them exit the area. HOW RUDE!!! I. Was. Well I used to love Ikea but it has gone to the toilet during the pandemic coming back to it the place seems like a mediocre walmart now... 1. I was told they had a major flood a year ago from which they still havent recovered. 2. The flow of the place is a mess due to renovation 3. I hailed an employee for help, she acknowledged me sorta then just kept walking the other way ignoring me 4. Too many things are out of stock. I wasted an hour wandering to see a majority of the items I liked were out of stock with no resupply date available 5. To buy a very small under desk drawer i had to log into a website to download a crush/safety disclaimer. there was an employee "guarding" the item i wanted to buy and wouldnt let me down the warehouse isle to get the item till i downloaded the disclaimer to later be shown to the checkout person. Its like being treated like a child to make the lawyers happy. 6. A year after the flood the place stinks of construction chemicals and such still. We will never set foot in another Ikea, or use any Ikea services. This has been an awful experience from start to finish. We ordered cabinets 6 months ago... we were told that some of our parts were in stock - these we would pay for and have delivered then - and the rest were backordered for a couple of months and that when they were back in stock, we would receive an email invoice to pay and then the parts would be shipped. So we've been waiting - for six months. We do not have a functional kitchen. We live in a construction zone. We are losing lots of money each month because we can't rent out our spare room when we don't have a kitchen in our home. We called recently for an update and not only are all of our parts still out of stock, but we were told that we would NOT in fact automatically receive an invoice when parts came in stock (as we were promised when we initially ordered), instead we are expected to call back daily to check on each part, order each part when it becomes available (though still NO updates on when that may be), and pay a separate delivery fee for each part. Excuse me?! We also found out that we were just a few days away from the end of the return window on the thousands of dollars worth of parts we had (which have been stacked in our living room and taking up all of our living space for the past 6 months!). So, we initiated a return (we had to make the TWO HOUR round trip into the store to do this - just to be told that the return system was down and we had to come back again later), but had to pay yet another fee to have all of the parts picked up. Ikea has been TERRIBLE with communication (it's been nonexistent or just plain incorrect) and we're getting charged left and right. They've made zero attempts to make things right with us. Visited this afternoon around 3:30 p.m. to pick up a few items. When getting to checkout only 3 cashiers were working with lines of 10+ at each cashier. When it was my turn, the cashier (ID 10077863) never even looked at me/acknowledged me during the process. When he finished ringing me up he shouted at the 7 or so people in the line behind me he wasn't going to help them, they just had to move to another line. When the people complained (they had every right because no warning was given and this cashier was going slow) he dismissed them, told them it wasn't his fault and left. At no time during this did he ever look at me, acknowledge me or even thank me for for shopping there. This IKEA seems to have a significant problem with checkout. I shop there frequently for work and in the past two months I have left items behind not wanting to wait in line when they have only a few registers open (3 times in the past two months). I live only a few miles away so easy to come back. Most visitors however drive many miles to visit the store and don't have that luxury and they wait. So who cares what level of service they provide, people will wait anyway. I am no longer that patient. read more

I ordered a bed and had it delivered - or so I thought. They only delivered 1 box . After calling customer service (multiples times with multiple terrible options, like redund me and Im responsible for the trash fees for this oversized garbage I'm left with) i was assured it was in stock - I go in - it is not. They tell me it will be in in two weeks and they can send me both pieces & I can refuse the box I have. Cool. Two weeks go by - surprise - it didn't come in and now they're telling me it will be 4 more weeks. At this point a simple delivery has wasted hours of my time, including the time I spent building the drawers prior to discovering I was missing half a bed frame. Call in. Again. At this post they say they can pick up the half a bed frame & drawers and refund me. Perfect. Cool. I don't care at this point. I am legally blind and the store is not accessible. The staff don't know how to deal with people with visual impairments. The salesman did not tell me about IKEA Family. I bought $700 of organizer furniture. After a long winded explanation from him, he did not help me pay upstairs so my guide dog would not have to wait, but he ordered it for me. 2 hours later I arrived at checkout, paid, then had nowhere to relieve my guide dog. I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to bring the items down (they had 2 hours to do it from when it was ordered upstairs!), even though I wanted it delivered. Why did I even have to be present to set up delivery with Task Rabbit? Then, they did not tell me about the free IKEA Family membership, with which I could have saved 5%. Nothing for them, but meaningful to me. They will not help me get the discount even though the checkout is not accessible and they did not inform me of this option. IKEA should be judged by how they treat the most vulnerable of their customers. Their behavior is certainly not the Scandinavian way. read more

I have been to this store twice, and it certainly has its pros and cons. First of all, it is hell and gone away from my home base of Fort Collins (but I'm not grading them on that, even though they were supposed to have a Broomfield location by now). Rather, I've had a lot of difficulty locating an IKEA associate when I need help searching thru all the umlauts. And the items I go to buy are out of stock more often than not. However, the items they have are attractive, and deliver value. I also like that they offer Swedish food at their in-store cafeteria. So build the damn Broomfield store (or better yet, put one in Ft. Collins) and maybe I can get there before the Norwegians plunder the store clean. read more

So this review is strictly for the cafeteria and sewage dump they call food. I remember when the store first opened, and the food was delectable. It was a perfect temperature, tasted good, and enjoyable. Nowadays you get overcooked, left out too long food that is akin to a feed lot infested with rotgut. My partner and I have tried the cafeteria twice in recent months and each time the food was old and cold. If you're looking for a place to eat before you come, go anywhere else. This review is for the dining hall. Big, airy and lots of Swedish food! Depending on your tastes... this could be right up your alley or a total strike out. On the menu, poached salmon, chilled shrimp with dill, egg and mayonnaise. Prices are really inexpensive, most drop even lower if you sign up for their free rewards program. By the looks of it, this is a pretty popular place for employees in the surrounding neighborhood to come and have lunch. Mom's and Dad's don't worry, they have the obligatory chicken nuggets and Swedish meatballs for the tikes. If you're looking for something .... oh, I don't know.... a little less Swedish, head down to the snack bar right after check out... that's where they have hot dogs etc. My advice, get an order of something to go... plop on plate and yell Dinner! I don't know how I made it all these years of life without going into an IKEA, but the fiance introduced me to IKEA because we were looking for some inexpensive but nice stools to use in the classrooms. I had always imagined a huge warehouse (like what is actually at the end of the store), but I didn't know that they had all the set-ups that were there! So fun! I really enjoyed browsing around, and probably ended up with more things than we needed. And then the clearance section! What a steal! Absolutely useless. I applied for an Ikea credit card on the evening, and may I say, late evening of Thursday 3 - 7 - 19. I was excited and I already had in mind what I wanted to buy and had been looking it up on their website. The next day, I was then told some 18 hours later that I was supposed to of used my card that I very evening to have gotten my $25 off my first purchase, 'even though I had no physical card in my hand.' So within those few hours before midnight on that Thursday evening I should have used this card to have gotten $25 off my first purchase. One of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of in my whole life, and so poorly explained on the credit card application. When I called the following day some 18 hours later I was told by 2 Ikea employees, (Ben being the second,) that I could never get this $25 again to use. I cancelled the credit card instantly via Ben. I've already posted a blog about my experience on Facebook about this and I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, anywhere that has reviews on Ikea and also consumer affairs. People need to understand how ridiculous Ikea is and the bank that supports them. UPDATE: As time went on a complaint was filed with the Washington DC branch of the Better Business Bureau. Richard S in the corporate office at IKEA promised to send an e-card with $25 on it to an email address that I've used for almost 22 years and I check daily. Never once did these number ever appear in my spam folder or my inbox. Then my other email address was given to him which I've had for 14 years and check mane times daily. Once again no $25 numbers ever appeared. Finally Christine called from Ikea's Corporate office and left a message on my voicemail after I had talked to this particular lady the day before. At the time of this writing she said in a voice mail which was 17 days ago now, that a physical card would be mailed to me and would arrive in 7 to 10 days. Of course, no card has ever arrived I've recently filed a complaint with the attorney General of Washington DC and Mrs Carter there has forwarded my complaint to the appropriate attorney General of the state that the Ikea is in. I've come across a few other companies that are this awful with their constant lies about sending things to the customer. Let's be honest here, if Ikea were true to their word they would have spent a few extra cents and had this so called physical card sent to me with a tracking number. Yes this superstore has inexpensive home furnishings, but you have to ask yourself is it worth the brain damage purchasing from them? I made the mistake of visiting the store when I had an injured foot. I knew that they would have the electric carts for people who needed mobility assistance, but when I found them at the entrance they were locked up. I searched for an employee to help me but no one was anywhere to be seen. I decided to pick up a couple items needed to finish my project, so I hobbled throughout the store. After I gathered my purchases, and headed to the cash out line, I was exhausted!!! After completing my purchase, I accidentally left a bag next to the counter with some of my purchases in it. When I got home I realized what I had done and immediately contacted IKEA. Unfortunately the phone number does not directly connect to the store and the customer service person was unable to talk to anybody at the store.... Crazy, right!!! I called the customer service number the next morning and they confirmed that they had found my merchandise that I had left and that I needed to just go to the store to pick it up. I arrived at the store and ended up learning that their computer system was down and the returns line was 12 people long, with 3 people working. I finally got a manager to help me and I learned that instead of setting my purchases aside they returned all of the items back to their inventory. Now I get to hobble around the store and figure out the items I need to re-purchase to finish my project. The service that I received from the managers was condescending... unhelpful. Okay, for real though. I get it now, I get IKEA. I get why my girlfriend has been talking about this place since she went to one in Phoenix like two years ago. I must admit firstly, that I was reluctant to stop by while we were in town for pridefest this weekend. We had just driven in from Albuquerque, it was 30 minutes til close, I really had to pee and my girlfriend was getting excited like she does when we go to sephora (I don't like going to sephora, but I go cause she likes it and I like her), anyway 30 minutes til and were walking in, its big and intimidating and I'm immediately trying to adjust my attitude about this whole experience because I get anxious about time and being "those people". They're starting to close up the showrooms, but it's going pretty well so far. Side note; There was a spoon and one piece of lettuce in a bowl on display in their model kitchen which I thought was pretty funny, but I don't know, I've never been to Sweden. Everything looked pretty nice, the colors were amazing, they have some really great chairs, we're having revelations and the associates seemed attentive while helping people design their spaces, even 30 minutes til close. The signs that literally told me where to go felt like I was following the yellow ikea road and helped ease my anxiety about being surrounded by so many things to look at. I mean, I could've gotten lost. Okay, so we're going through the kid section, I pick up a rat, he's 99 cents, he's my buddy now. We're walking quickly through the showrooms (probably 20 mins now til close), commenting on things on the walls and then we get to the home decor. Oh my god, this is really when the ikea started to kick in. It was like a bright light. I suddenly saw the face of ikea. I started touching everything like I couldn't believe my eyes. I started running, it felt like. Sifting through bins, tapping on every plate with my fingernails. I grabbed a picture frame (I love frames), yelled over to my girlfriend in the bath decor, "HEY THIS IS COOL"! Only to realize I was screaming at some lady and her 12 year old daughter. I laughed and grabbed three more frames, "I need these" At this point we probably had ten minutes left and I started to feel like a kid on nickelodeons toy store run (you all remember that show?) just grabbing stuff and as quickly as I could in my brain try to reason if I actually needed it or not. More often I didn't. This wasn't toy store run and I still had to pay for all of this. In the end, we both made some pretty reasonable purchases, (she got some bath mats and a fitted sheet, I got a throw pillow and those frames and the rat), we both bought ikea's infamous rolling cart (is that redundant?), it only took me 15 minutes to assemble (even with a cat sitting on all the parts) and it rolls pretty freakin good. The coolest part was getting to pick it up out of the warehouse. I got to use my strong muscles to impress my girlfriend, hahah. 5/5 stars because we're planning a trip back when we can visit at a more reasonable hour and to try those meatballs. Thank you! Also, as far as I could tell during my brief visit to your store, all the associates were helpful, our cashier asked me if I found everything I needed and I had. Nobody asked me if I needed help finding anything which was totally okay, because I'm sure I just looked pretty confident with what I was doing and if I did need help I knew where to find them. I was charged for two bookcases in store and didn't look at my receipt until I was 40 miles away from the store. The cashier made a mistake and I want a refund for the extra one I didn't purchase. I frequent IKEA every few months - but have never ordered big-ish furniture. 2 weeks ago I went to look at bedroom furniture and had questions, which were curtly answered by a customer service representative. I did not have a good experience. Today I had a MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER EXEPRIENCE! Okay ... IKEA ... listen up! ***you have an employee named Melinda and she is SPECTACULAR*** I was with my elderly mother, and my three year old grandson. OY! By the time I got to the bedroom furniture area I wanted to stab my eyes out with sharp pencils. I am never, ever shopping with these two family members, together, at the same time, again. Ever. Ever. The childcare area looked like a lot of fun, very clean, and my little guy wanted to go play. Unfortunately it was full. I appreciate the fact that they cap the number of kids in the playroom. Kudos. So we meandered into IKEA and my family members tested my patience, and I was frazzled. And grumpy. And not having fun or enjoying my IKEA experience - totally my own fault due to the entourage I chose. I was not happy. And then ... I saw Melinda. On the phone, but still making eye contact with me to acknowledge she would be with me soon. She wrapped up the business call, and literally saved 1)my sanity 2)the sale 3)the day. We got the bedroom set ordered, delivery scheduled, and she made me smile. She is an example of what all customer service reps should be. Efficient. Friendly. Compassionate. Helpful. Well-trained. Organized. Professional. Thank you, Melinda! IKEA - you need to recognize her for being excellent. I eventually wound my way through the curtains/drapes/curtain rods. By then my three year old grandson needed to potty. The representative in this department pretended she couldn't see or hear me when I asked for the location of a bathroom, or where the curtain rods were. She finally answers my questions and scurried off. Not her day - that's okay. We all have them. THEN - the woman checking my motley crew out - another wonderful, friendly, helpful person. Very patient when my grandson's bag of Swedish fish exploded and he threw a tantrum (obviously this was not "my day" and I will not return with my mom and grandson together again - totally my bad idea). She comped us another bag , even though it was his fault. I did not get her name, but wish I had. She was wonderful. We eventually made it to the car. I eventually made it home. I can't wait to sleep in my new bedroom with my new furniture from IKEA. Thank you to the wonderful people who helped me today. I will not hesitate to buy from IKEA in the future. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. We came here looking for furniture for a new apartment, and spent two hours walking through the store and picking out six different items (desk, liquor cabinet, bookshelf, etc.). When we got to the warehouse, not a single one of the items was in stock, which hadn't been noted on any of those items up in the showroom. I understand things do go out of stock and can't be updated on the hour, but 0 for 6 is a pretty dismal showing. Also, I double checked online afterwards to order those same items for pickup hoping they just weren't on the shelves, but they were listed out of stock there as well. Horrible service. Workers do everything to ignore you and act like you don't exist. Return and pick process is the worst. Doesn't matter how cheap it is, not worth my time waiting around 20-40 min for help. Would rather spend more somewhere else for help read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. 7 phone calls to 1-888 customer service line to cancel an order and they still can not cancel it. Transferred to dead phone numbers, departments that don't answer, and no one that can cancel my order. You are supposed to be able to cancel online... nope can't do it. Your order is supposed to cancel within 24 hours if you don't pick it up.... nope 3 days later the order is still active waiting to be picked up. The level of incompetence is unparalleled! I just wanted to cancel my order should be a simple task... nope not at IKEA! I can cancel an order on Amazon in 10 seconds....
