Apparently Friday is NOT the day to go in as it seems that is their slower day where they aren't staffed. I walked in and wasn't greeted by a single soul, nor could I see a person anywhere. Generally in furniture stores I feel you get mobbed but this was so far in the other direction where it seemed there wasn't anyone even working in this ghost town. I went about checking out chairs. Turns out they don't update their online inventory well so that most of what I found online before driving out here wasn't actually available. I came across one nice guy finally who apparently was a stock person. He was able to confirm certain chairs weren't available, and was very nice to hep me, but said I had to find a sales person to get more info on a few things. He took me up to a very exasperated person who helped but was rushed and didn't quite pay attention to what I was saying for the situation. The front desk gal that ended up checking me out was very nice. the chair I picked out was not marked, the gal that priced it was quoting me for a table which I wasn't even asking for and had to remind her of twice, and then seemingly just made a price up for the chair I was actually asking for which I'm not sure was really worth the price. I probably should have just walked out and went elsewhere....the chair I got is in great condition but I just don't think worth the cost for ONE chair. I get it for what they want to sell in bulk office space wise, but considering my office is soon to be looking for furniture, I have learned a valuable lesson of where we shouldn't go. No refunds for used which is what the bulk of the store was that I saw. read more

Shady business practices ahead matey. We went in because we needed a lot of chairs. They advertised $99 for 3 or more for $79. We asked if there was a break for more, like 30. There wasn't. We finally opted to buy only what we needed, and in talking with the salesman (a former used car salesman if ever i've met one) he confided that the prices on the chairs was a lure so they can upsell people on the new furniture in from of the store. He also said they pull this scam on aeron chairs. LAME. We needed to buy 30-40 chairs, plus other office furniture, and ended up only buying the minimum we needed because they'd rather sell less merchandise so that it's on hand to lure in others. I've been looking for a mesh office chair to go with my desk. Good thing I found this place because it saved me from a bad purchase and got me into a good one. First, this place is the size of an airplane hangar. Ok, maybe not that big but you get the idea. They have all kinds of office furniture, including a pretty good line of mesh chairs. I saw the one I was going to buy on-line so I gave it the butt test. Wow, good thing I held off on buying it. It felt awkward. The guy helping me out went out of his way to show me every style of mesh chair he had available and went through all the adjustments you can make in every model for comfort. It was very easy, comfortable and friendly in this place with a good line of chairs to choose from. How could I not buy a chair here?! read more

We went in search of a good, solid office chair for my college student. The sales staff was very friendly and checked in with us periodically, pointing out some items that might work. We found a well-built, multi-adjustable chair in excellent condition; with a coupon from their website it cost $111. It's a lot more comfortable than similarly priced new chairs, and would have cost 3-4X that much if new. Besides chairs they have lots of tables, desks and file cabinets. If you weren't going to the deal you wanted it's probably because you are a person who is terrible at haggling. I haggled everything I got here. It's quality, used stuff. And when I had to return some items, they bought them back at a fair price. This is a decent business. Sheesh. I came here for one thing: office chairs, which are located right up front as you enter, so maybe that is why most people come here. I think I got a good price on 2 new mesh chairs which were bottom of the HON line but still decent (about $225 each). I bought the ones that "wear like iron" according to my salesman, who also told me he is a professor at CU when he is not selling furniture here. I guess the professors can use some extra income. So far the chairs are looking just fine 3 days later and I am pleased with the purchase. Kind of odd how you go into a booth like you are buying a car and there are discussions with the manager before you can close the deal, even though I paid full asking price. I got a coupon online for a $25 discount that was honored after some discussion--maybe that was where we needed the manager. They have an "under $99 section" in the back that you may want to look at just to appreciate what a good deal the new mesh chairs are for $225. Not the place to furnish your home, but I think pretty good for classy office mesh adjustable chairs at a decent price. read more

I purchased a used Herman Miller Aeron chair for +$500. A week later the foam is falling out of it on the floor. Took it back to the store to find out, no warrantee, no refund, no replacement parts, etc. Was told the chair was a 2002 chair so of course the foam at the edge of the seat would be decomposing. I was told to contact the manufacturer but they would probably only seat me a complete new seat instead of the foam padding. The salesman and the receipt say nothing about the sale being final. Buyer beware! Any issues with this company and you are out of luck. read more

Can be a great place, but only if you know who to talk to. ALWAY TALK TO SARAH YANCY. SHE WILL ACTUALLY HELP YOU AND NOT BRUSH YOU OFF. I've been to Office Liq several times in past 5 years. Was always hard to find a sales person to talk to, and if you do, they stop helping you instantly when you say you're looking for your home office and not for a business order. I recently went last week to Office Liq again and was dreading it. Sure enough, the first sales rep brushed me off quickly like I had been in previous years when I said was looking for home office. Then, after sitting in chairs for a while and not finding anything, I was pleasantly greeted by Sara Yancy. She sat down next to me, asked me how I felt in the chair I was in, showed me some features I didn't know the chair had, and gave me a bunch of helpful pointers on sitting and office ergonomics. She then took me around the showroom and sat with me in probably a dozen different chairs. She gave me plenty of breaks to try things out on my own but always came back to check on me. Before meeting her, I probably would have left in the first 20 minutes. After I met Sarah, I didn't realize it but I was there for over 3 hours! I ended up finding a couple chairs I liked but the sizing was off, so she called the manufacturer and the local rep to see about ordering a proper size for me. Sarah was so kind and down to earth and was doing anything she could to help me find what I was looking for, even if it was just one chair. I was thinking how did I manage to find the unicorn of such a nice and genuine sales rep that wasn't worried about earning a commission. It turns out, Sarah's not even a sales rep. She told me works in a different department but that after seeing me sitting alone for a while, she had to see if she couldn't do anything to help me. I was blown away. I had been in the store for probably 3 hrs at that point and she had been checking on me on and off the whole time, showing me tons of chairs, giving me pointers, and making several calls to the manufacturer and rep for me. I felt like inviting her and her family over for dinner when I realized she had spent all that time trying to help me and it was on top of the work she had to finish up. Last week in total, I went all over Denver looking at six different office suppliers, and I was dreading Office Liquidators the most based on my multiple experiences in years past. When I got to Office Liquidators and the first sales rep brushed me off like all the times before, it seemed like nothing had changed. But then with Sarah's help, it was entirely different. Sarah was by far the most helpful, personable, and genuine person I met across the six different suppliers I visited this week (EZ offices, Everything for Offices, Contract Furnishings, Merchants, Peak Office, Office Liquidators). I would never think about referring business normally and certainly not when sales reps ignore you when you're looking for home office. Well, Sarah got me thinking. My wife works at a hedge fund and moves offices frequently. Their office furniture supplier (Configurations) went out of business recently. I'm referring them to Sarah at Office Liquidators. Sarah changed my perspective Office Liquidators entirely from the sad and depressing place where you feel unwanted. As long as Sarah there, I'll go back.
