I needed a standing desk because I was in a lot of pain from a non-ergonomic home office set-up. Went to Everything For Offices and found a basic model in the back of the store. The top of the desk was used; the base was new. I asked the salesperson if she could do better on the price. She said no. I told her I'd take the floor model. Could she do any better? No. I really needed the desk because my arm and shoulder were killing me, so I said I'd buy it. Then we got to "delivery." They were gonna charge me something ridiculous to bring it to my home, five miles away. I mean, like $150. The desk was $279. So the salesperson asked me what kind of vehicle I had. I have a small car, but the cargo area is large, so it actually fit! Then I was told there was a $41 charge for "assembly." I was buying the floor model that was already put together, so... ??? HUH??? Salesperson wouldn't take the charge off. Against my better judgment, I still bought the desk. I guess the pain won out; I needed this thing ASAP! At the end of the transaction, after I had paid and had the desk loaded into my car, I was under the impression that the guys from the store would come to my house and bring the desk inside. I had chatted with the salesperson a bit more, and my understanding was that the $41 assembly charge would be offset by them helping me bring the desk in. Nope. I had misunderstood. The charge was sticking and they were not doing ANYTHING as far as delivery or set-up. Putting the thing into my car was the end of the transaction. I was left standing there with a heavy desk in my car and no way to unload it when I got home. I truly don't know what came over me when I accepted these ridiculous charges. A half-used desk, floor model, no delivery or set-up... I had to wait for a handyman I hired to come by in order to get the desk into my house. I helped him bring it in and ended up banging up some woodwork in the house that now has to be repaired. I just wasn't strong enough to do heavy lifting. Hopefully my physical ailments will improve from using the desk. I expect to have a least a bit of positivity from this experience! I would not recommend this store. Wow! I live in Las Vegas and bought a desk from Everything for Offices because they had it at the lowest price I've seen (even compared to wholesalers like Sams Club). I wasn't sure how long it would take to get to me, and was blown away that I got it in THREE days; it arrived at my new house before I even started moving other furniture. The desk itself is solid. I dunno how much weight it can hold, but it feels sturdy, even with my 25 lbs monitor mounted in the cable routing hole on a VESA arm mount. Be careful with the back support beam! The holes to install it aren't clearly shown in the manual, so I had the footrest positioned the wrong way and ended up drilling holes in the desk to get the back support to attach to the top of the desk. This is a nice place to shop for office furniture. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The only reason that I am leaving 2 stars is because I recently purchased a chair from here and the staff did not make it clear to me that it would be nonrefundable. After trying the chair for a couple days I found that it was extremely uncomfortable for longer sitting (something I couldn't tell from trying it in the store). After explaining my problem and confusion they were quickly unwilling to work with me. Very frustrated with the poor customer support after purchase. They made me feel very comfortable with my purchase and then didn't seem to care when I wasn't satisfied with it. read more

Years ago I bought a high end office chair from Everything for Offices that had a lifetime warranty. The chair just developed a broken caster and problem with the arm rest. Gina reminded ME that this chair had a lifetime guarantee. She contacted the manufacturer, ordered the parts and I just picked them up. They would have installed the parts but the chair is very heavy and located in a basement and I didn't want to take it in. At the showroom the technician showed me how to change the casters then did everything needed on the arm rest so that all I had to do was attach two screws when got home. He even gave me an allen wrench to make the attachment. All at no cost. Super friendly people. I found out that this is a family business that has been in Denver for over 30 years. Blech! Ok so they have a big selection of office furniture, new and used but it's their tactics and sales practices that really bother me, I've just made my last purchase there. In their used furniture they don't have many things marked and when you ask how much something is they ask you "well how much are you interested in spending"----ok, that was NOT my question. I want to know how much the item costs. My husband, who is not a good negotiator went in and fell for their trap and told them he wanted to spend no more than "X" for a chair and then of course the chair he ended up liking the sales person said "well I can do that chair for "XYZ" which of course was a little more than my husband said he wanted to spend----and then a few weeks later I went back and was told a completely different price for the same chair. I talked the salesman down on some items and I also told him that I didn't like places like this that don't tag merchandise and change their prices based on the consumer. We had a need to set up 5 offices quickly and we were able to work out a deal and get delivery within 24 hours without even having to visit the store. I can't believe I stumbled upon this place. The salesman, Craig, was super helpful. Because I a very picky about what chair I wanted, I tried out every single chair there,and worked with every single control mechanism in all those chairs. I must have been there for 2 hours. Craig was courteous and patient the entire time. I NEVER felt pressured. I left without buying anything, and checked at a few other stores that had other brands. When I couldn't find anything elsewhere that suited my needs, I went back to Everything For Offices. Craig was just as helpful as ever. So was the receptionist and everybody else who were there. In the end, I took one home for a demo. I am very satisfied. I will definitely be back for the desks . Craig Thomas was our sales person and we were looking for two vertical files. We noticed there was a used furniture section and thought we would give it a try, and to our surprise, there were several pieces we could consider. First we called and talked to Craig, who was very quick and attentive to our questions. Then, with the information he provided, we wanted to come visit. He was once again, so helpful and knew the area of the file cabinets. No pressure from this guy and he gave us other options. We would up buying the two files, which for used, were in perfect shape. Additionally we found 2 office chairs we needed to replace ones in our personal home offices. Can't say enough good about their location, the showroom (which is beautiful and well laid out) and selection. Warehouse guys were wonderful as they helped load and secure all of our items in our vehicle. Go visit this place if you need office items!
