Perhaps the dough hydration was a little too low? The sauce - well seasoned, good ratio of cheese to sauce. If anything, maybe a little on the sweet side. The cheese - good ratio, no notes here. the bear cub - good amount of pep applied on the pizza, no cupping action, but tasted fine. Doesn't taste like anything special, but holds its own here. The fountain grove - unfortunately quite a disappointment. Starting off, it was very salty. Maybe from the sausage or salami? I personally still don't understand the craze with piling on ingredients just to have them in California. I've seen it happen so often, and it always falls short of a cohesive pizza, and this one is the same story. Each bite it took just kind of tasted like an amalgamation of random ingredients, there was nothing complementing one another. Overall, a 2/5 pizza. Their employees are very friendly and seemed to have good service. My personal pizza tastes may disagree with others, but I hope there is some room for adjustment or improvement.

Very different from other pretzels, but in the best way. I always go to Alameda for my dog's grooming, so, on 10/25/2025 I picked up a box for the groomers, and they only had good things to say about it too. I also got four pretzels for us as a snack on the way to Alameda, and they never disappoint. Always so good! When we got them, they were incredibly fresh and still warm. The place is cute and smells amazing. The people there were very friendly, even when they were busy they tried their best to help me decide which pretzel to get (I am very indecisive ). I can't recommend this place enough. Please come and try it for yourself!

So far I've gotten the brioche provencale, regale, coup de cour, brioche cannelle (large pecan). Everything has been good but the cannelle has been my favorite so far. The crust is delectable and the ribbons are just sweet enough for me. I nibbled my way through that thing over a couple of weeks. The fruit adorning the pastries always had a great flavor to them. The coup de cour with blueberries was the most interesting I'd say. I really liked the balance between the fruit and the chocolate in the center. It wasn't too sweet which was great. The one thing I haven't tried are the actual loaves of bread. I grab too many pastries when I've gone, but I'll make sure not to get distracted the next time.

Halfway through my first sandwich, I noticed no peppers, I opened the other half before I ate it, and it was the stem of the pepper and one other tiny and a sliver of a red onion and a ton of mayonnaise and they use kinder's barbecue sauce, squirt bottle, not the good old stuff. So don't waste your money on a $15 sandwich which is in the garbage can now.
