Parking isn't too difficult here as it surrounds the building in a part of the shopping center that's a bit further away from the other shops. The value you get here is pretty good is plenty of low priced options that cover a wide variety of flavor options. The menu is somewhat limited if you're looking for options that are a bit more savory or have a bit more complexity than the standard pancake with syrup with toppings. With that said, the price here of the flavored pancakes is about the same as what you can expect to pay for 4 plain pancakes elsewhere (most of the time a 3-stack). We came here for breakfast/brunch due to the all you can eat pancakes special for IHOP's 65th anniversary. You can either do just pancakes (start with 5 and get 2 with each reorder) or you can add all you can eat pancakes to a small variety of eggs/meat entrees for $5 extra. Since I wanted more than just pancakes, we both got the 2x2x2 (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage). Our server was very nice and attentive and refilled those pancakes quickly! Low stars go for the really dirty bathrooms. Like the dirty bathrooms you'd find at a gas station. They looked like they had not been cleaned in days (or even weeks). I'd recommend holding it and finding facilities elsewhere. I was also a little surprised to see that IHOP has become quite expensive. Omelets are in the $16-17 range. An order of 2 pieces of their french toast is about $12 (without any eggs or meat). I didn't enjoy my experience this time around. I express to the manager my eggs smelled funny etc I was still charged for the eggs and even got sick outside of this establishment. I'm very disappointed in how the manager tired to deny my concerns. I will not be back here again. Although over time (since the late 90's till now), I have felt that their food quality has gone down (it also could be that my tastes have changed) but I still go to IHOP once in a while. I came here for brunch with my family. I ordered for myself a Poblano omelette and Tres Leches pancakes. Both of my dishes were tasty. The pancakes were decent but not anything wow worthy. They sure looked though. The omelette's taste was good as expected (as far as IHOP like restaurants are concerned). I have always liked their omelettes. This time around, the taste was no exception; however, the portion size was smaller than how it has been in the past. I have had other items at IHOP before (like waffles, burgers, sandwiches) but they just alright. I like to stick to their eggs and pancakes related items. Companies like Uber Eats and DoorDash already charge their own fees on top of what our food cost and the tips will give. it would be nice for once that you guys make sure utensils and at least two syrups are in the bag. why is this so hard to do. What I really like here is the sumptuous menu and variations that one can try. Went for breakfast yesterday 3-30-19 to the IHOP in Vernon HIlls IL. The food was horrible, 3 of us ordered 3 different meals. The waiter obviously had a very hard time understanding English because he was bringing things we did not order. I couldn't eat my breakfast, my handicapped son finished his french toast unfortunately. We had asked for cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle on top, it came with what looked like melted chocolate on it. After tasting it it was melted butter with cinnamon in it. We barely made it home all 3 of us were in different bathrooms!!!! Ruined our Sunday! Since moving to the burbs, we really haven't done the whole brunching thing like we used it. My kids are so so breakfast eaters, so frozen pancakes heated up in the microwave suffices. Sure, I miss bottomless mimosa brunches, but when you've got two active kids running around, you take what you can get. On a recent weekday morning, we had a chance to go out to early breakfast with the kids. Since it was very early, there were very few people in the restaurant. We ordered promptly while the kids walked around the place while we waited for food. I got some iced coffee to perk myself up. Yep, won't be ordering that again because hot coffee is a tastier bet there. Otherwise, our pancake breakfasts with eggs, bacon, and sausage were pretty good. Both kids ate from our plates. Our oldest enjoyed the concept of a chocolate chip pancake, but preferred ours. It's a lesson for a future visit. The waitstaff was nice and low key. Our waiter didn't seem to mind the whole kids exploring the restaurant. We've ordered takeout from this IHOP before and had the same nice staff. It's an IHOP - what do you expect? I think the service here was BLAH. We put our name in to be seated (group of five) but two other groups of five that came in AFTER us were seated first. Annoying. The food is exactly what you'd expect - tasty and from IHOP. The pancakes are always tasty and you should be adventurous and try all of the crazy special ones. The bill was cheap once all was said and done, which is nice considering we got milk, juice and coffee. My wife and I went for breakfast on a weekday morning around 9 AM. There were very few people dining at this time. There's a sizable breakfast menu. I had a skillet, which consists of diced red potatoes (lots of them), green peppers, onions, cheese and two "scrambled eggs" on top. It was priced at $6.99. For my taste, there were too many potatoes and the scrambled eggs were more like an omelette plopped on top. I would have preferred to have the eggs scrambled and mixed in with the veggies. It was served with two buttermilk pancakes or toast. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. They provide a carafe of hot coffee at each table. Our waiter continually stopped by to ask if I would like another cup. As a matter of convenience I may come back and order something else. I think there are better places to eat. The food is good, the wait staff is good - prompt and efficient and the prices for the food are reasonable. The menu offers breakfast items under 600 calories for those watching their diets.
