Loved my strawberry and banana smoothie. This is a great cafe for lunch, coffee, or a sweet snack. The service is always great. The cafe is cute and there is a section to sit outside as well when the weather is nice.

Came out to Blu Fig Cafe after seeing their amazing reviews to enjoy some coffee. The shop is tucked away in a scenic area of Downtown Long Grove. They had a decent amount of seating inside as well as tables/chairs outside to enjoy the weather. They offer a variety of simple breakfast food and sandwiches as well as coffee and tea options. The girl working the counter was very to the point and not very cheery. I ordered the 12oz Rose Cardamon Latte which lacked having much flavor. They used purchased syrups but wish it had more of a punch. They open air roast all their coffee beans but my coffee was either a darker roast than I'm used to or something gave it a more burnt taste. The rose petals are cute but annoying to drink around. My husband got a Chai Latte which used Tazo concentrate and was basic. Our two drinks were about $11 which was great value! While my experience wasn't ideal, others seem to thoroughly enjoy so don't count Blu Fig Cafe out!

Adorable coffee shop tucked away off the side of the road. Great and aesthetic outdoor seating, I am eager to come back in the spring to sit out there when the weather is nice. The inside is relatively small with a few tables but its homey coffeehouse vibe makes it a cozy place to visit. I always get their meatalicious sandwich, it's a perfect harmony of flavors with the pickled onions, pepperonchinis, and the Calabrian chili! Must try. There are also a wide variety of drink flavors and options. There were so many I wanted to try! But I landed on the strawberry matcha latte.

Delicious coffee and food with a great view in the parking lot! There's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside, but it def gets busy and can be hard to grab a seat!

Cute place and great location in Long Grove. Arrived early for the Strawberry Festival and popped in for a quick coffee. I tried the Hearty Smoothie. It was heavy on the ginger, which wasn't too tasty. My friends had coffee and a pistachio cappuccino. They liked their choices. I thought the logo on the coffee was a nice touch!

Great iced coffee and muffin. Banana bread wasn't overly sweet. Solid coffee shop. Would go again!

We came to Blu Fig Cafe for lunch. It has a super cute warm atmosphere and the staff was great. We had the avocado toast, the Fig jam bagel with almond butter, and the plant powered sandwich. The toast had great seasoning. The sandwich had pepperoncini which added a great little kick. The bagel was subtle but tasty. We got a gingerbread latte and a lavender latte, both with oat milk. They were both super good. We will be back for sure.

Oh my gosh. I am still over the moon about the decision to come here. You really have no idea, Blu Fig Cafe is truly phenomenal. I came here without setting any expectations. I ordered the Cappuccino, Lox & Bagel, and the Classic Breakfast Bagel. The Classic Breakfast Bagel was a simple choice, but DELICIOUS, warm, and comforting. Then you have the Lox & Bagel, which was outstanding. Each and every ingredient, especially the lox, was clearly fresh. It was also beautifully presented. And the Cappuccino - this was the best cappuccino I've had in a very long time. Really, whenever I order cappuccinos at the cafes and shops near me it's like people don't know how to make a proper one. They always make cappuccinos too milky where you can barely taste the coffee - but here, they got it exactly right. The balance of espresso to foam was spot-on - it wasn't drowned in milk, it was a true cappuccino. And that made all the difference. I would come back just for that. I wasn't expecting to be this taken with Blu Fig Cafe, but here we are. It's one of those places that reminds you how much joy can come from something as simple as a great bagel, a perfect cup of coffee, and a fresh take on the classics. This isn't just breakfast. This is the kind of meal that makes you believe in the little things again.

    French Hot Dog

This was a cute little cafe. We stopped here during the Long Grove Apple Fest. A breakfast sandwich sounded yummy, but they make it with over easy eggs and that's something I can't abide. So instead I ordered the turkey club, and it was delicious. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade and that was good too. They had something called a French hot dog, which I bought for my daughter because it was something she could easily hold and nibble on which she did rather contentedly. (A French hot dog appears to be a hot dog wrapped in a baguette-like bread.) The inside of the cafe was not too large, but the tables weren't on top of one another either. There is an outdoor seating area that was nice and comfortable. I would visit the Blu Fig again if I'm around Long Grove.

A hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts! I discovered this tucked-away coffee shop during Long Grove's hot chocolate festival a couple years ago and stop by whenever I'm in town. This place quickly became a favorite for me, my family, and friends! Located under Broken Earth Winery, it offers rich, creamy lattes perfectly balanced with velvety steamed milk, and pastries worth raving about, especially the Nutella croissant with strawberries and bananas. I also recommend the Lox bagel (it's sooo delicious!). The friendly staff and welcoming owner make you feel like a regular from day one. I even bought their freshly roasted beans to enjoy at home (they were made fresh just a week before I purchased it)! Whether you want a French café vibe for work or a cozy spot to catch up with friends, Blu Fig delivers exceptional drinks, delicious treats, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended! Wishing you much success, Blu Fig!!!

I am currently visiting downtown Arlington Heights and did a Google search online for coffee shops near me and I was extremely elated to find this cozy space. The owner is European and is extremely welcoming and kind to all her guests. I wasn't hungry or I may have wanted a croissant but I was there to try an iced latte drink and asked if she had any rose infused drinks. She suggested a Raspberry rose latte and I asked for it on ice. Drinks are not served in mugs or glasses here but served in plastic containers. My drink was not only extremely tasty and sweet but it was prepared with love and dried rose petals. What compels me to leave 5 stars is the fact that the owner/ barrista took the time to answer her phone before I arrived. You see on Sunday I wanted to try another coffee shop in Long Grove but my Uber Driver was lost and another shop refused to answer their phones making me lose an opportunity to visit. The owner here is hard working, serves delicious drinks intuitively knows how you like it and the atmosphere is extremely cozy and welcoming. There is also a large outside garden area and when weather permits this week I will be returning here with my dog to enjoy the garden area. There were a few people seated outside with their pups so this cafe is dog friendly in the outside patio area. This cafe appears to be a local favorite in Long Grove Village. Don't miss out on the opportunity to enjoy this adorable coffee house.

There are a couple tables if you want to linger, but it's a small space overall. The servers are friendly and accommodating. I'd like to give this place a better review, but having visited a number of area coffee shops and…read morecafes, I can't in good conscious rate them as well. There is a free parking lot with plenty of parking and I found a spot right away on an early Sunday morning. It's very bright and feels more like a retail store atmosphere than a cafe. There were only three tables and a counter running along the back wall. It was easy for two of us to just sit at a table for a while, but as more people came in, we felt guilty taking a table as we just sipped coffee and chatted. They definitely have some kinks to work out and they've only been open for a few months, and they need to train their staff better as they clearly don't understand how to serve with any type speed. They don't do traditional here. You can't just get coffee and a Danish or other typical bakery item. You can't even get toast with butter despite them offering many toast options with toppings. Here's a tip: offer toast with butter or a spread. You'll get a lot more sales with some items that are not super filling. I opted for a hot mocha coffee with an extra pump of chocolate and a crepe. Again, you can't just get plain crepes. They are homemade and should be offered plain, but I digress. I got the Hangover crepe. According to their website, this is the description of The Hangover Crepe: "Start your day right with our delicious breakfast items like bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese, served till 11 AM. Afterward, enjoy a refreshing acai bowl or pair your breakfast with a cappuccino or a chai tea latte. Don't forget to try our matcha latte for a unique twist at our coffee shop in Buffalo Grove!" Look, I just do marketing for a living, so don't sell me on what you have before and after 11am. Just tell me what you get with this specific crepe. And that's bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The scrambled eggs are some of the best fluffy and dry eggs you can get anywhere. They were perfect. The hash browns were in patty form and were perfect for this dish. They serve it as a handheld, but it definitely needs a knife and fork, which you collect at the counter. You have to ask for salt and pepper or a sauce if you want. The savoryness of the items mixed with the sweetness of the crepe was a great combo. It was very tasty. But it took them quite a while to make the crepe. I was mostly finished with by hot mocha which I could have topped off for an additional fee. My compatriot wanted plain toast with butter. Mind you they have six (6) different toast offerings with all sorts of toppings. You can get your toast item made with sourdough, multigrain, white, or gluten-free. However, you can't get plain toast. And just as a side Q&A: when you order toast anywhere else, how many pieces do you typically receive? If you answered two (2) pieces/slices, you'd be correct. Irene's gave him one slice. They first toasted it and burned it badly. They make toast items. How do you screw up toast if you routinely make toast? Then they finally brought out the one slice and asked if he wanted butter. He did, so they took the toast to the kitchen and put two dabs of butter on his toast. But then they didn't give him a knife to spread it, so he used the crust of the bread to spread it on the slice. Like I stated, kinks need to be worked out. While we were there, the owner's family came in and took up two of the tables. Now all three tables were taken. And older couple came in and had to side at the counter height stools along the wall. The food was tasty, the drinks were good. Both are pricey for what they are. And they are seriously lacking seating. It would be nice to see them last in Buffalo Grove, but they need to fix the seating issue (maybe smaller rectangular tables instead of round ones?), and get things out of the kitchen faster, and drinks made more quickly to have more staying power. Oh, and have your family not come all together and take up all your tables.
