Great coffee! Authentic, house prepared pastries. A whole range of Italian cafe food items at reasonable prices, wine, beer, natural carbonations, desserts. Ice water station with flatware, napkins and extras. Get in one of several lines to order. The order + seating process is a bit chaotic, given that you may have already ordered hot food for a sit-down, followed by waiting for a table, flag marker in hand named after Sicilian towns. Three separate lines: one for coffee + pastry, another for meal items, one more for gelato. Busy-busy right at standard meal times. Recommend early or late check in for securing a table right away. Overall a good experience

Yummy breakfast this am and I enjoyed the organic cappuccino. The egg bites have garlic and caramelized onions and spinach . It took a while for the pastries but they were tasty and I love how pretty this restaurant is . I noticed they took away a couch that I used to sit at but the chairs are comfortable.

Third times the charm!! Finally found an Italian restaurant that is comparable to the flavors in Italy!! This charming restaurant served us truly delicious comfort food. It was packed but they moved the long line for orders quickly. Unique in a way as the restaurant displays samples of plates from the menu for customers so they know what to order and expect. An excellent idea especially for a visual person like me!!!! An upscale cafeteria style restaurant . Customers choose their own tables and gather their own utensils. There's a water dispenser available to customers as well. The simple but flavorful Pear and Arugala Salad was devine!! I wanted more!! So good!! I had the Fusilli Bolognese. Pasta was al dente and meat sauce was seasoned to perfection!! Just the right serving. So delicious!! What my husband ordered was not what was served. We told our waiter, he apologized, and no further questions asked other than what my husband ordered, which was the Rigatoni alla Genovese and not Spicy Rigatoni. He came back promptly with a smile and delivered the correct order. Great customer service!! I tasted my husband's dish and the meat sauce was excellent. I'll order that next time We also had the Afogato, which was good but wish it was served in a tall cup for such a small size. It was a bit messy too. I tried the Hazelnut gelato and the texture was off. Not creamy at all. Gritty and super sweet!! Will be coming back for more and most definetly worth a try!!

Found this cute Italian cafe right off 22. There are plenty of options to pick from- from drinks, to pastries and desserts, to actual meals. You order once you come in, and then sit down and wait for your food. The melanzana panino (eggplant sandwich) was delish. The bread it is on, is so crispy, yet very light and airy. The Roman Square Pizza slices are as big as my toddlers face- and again very light and airy. The gelato is a nice way to end the meal- and I believe the gelato is made small batch, and in house.

Sorelle is an exceptional Italian cafe and coffee shop located in Long Grove offering delectable pastries and Sicilian classics with exceptional ambiance, service, and value. Our family came on a Saturday afternoon to a bustling cafe and few empty tables (always a good sign). We ordered the Ham Arancini ($3.50) - a rich, but not heavy ball of cheese and rice decadence. Paired with this was an excellent cannoli ($3.50) - a crispy light shell stuffed with decadent, creamy ricotta and dusted with pistachio. The panna cotta pistachio ($4.00) was similarly delicious, with a caramel and pistachio topping. Light, scrumptious, not heavy. An iced latte ($3.50) rounded things out which was great but not exceptional. A special word must be said for the service. Our Arancini order was forgotten, and after bringing it to the staff's attention, the owner himself made us the delicious dish and delivered it to us personally with an apology. We asked several questions about the restaurant, which we were quite impressed by at this point, and he indulged. Spectacular service. The interior is well decorated and airy, adorned by a Vespa and the food and prices proudly on display. There's ample seating outside by the water making for an excellent ambiance. As noted above, prices are truly excellent for food of this quality; we easily would have paid a few more dollars per item. Excellent value. With unforgettable food, spectacular service, and an amazing ambiance at perfect prices, the Sorelle sisters make an unforgettable Italian cafe. Sorelle is seeped in success and has rightfully earned every bit of it - spettacolare! Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5

I love this place! The food and service is consistently good, and this time the place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The best part of this visit was that the Grinch made an appearance while we were there! He visited each table, engaged with patrons and posed for photos with us. It was such a fun surprise! Thanks for a memorable lunch experience, Sorelle!

My wife has been raving about Sorelle so when we were thinking about picking up some coffee she suggested Sorelle. As we pulled up, it looked very busy, especially since it was Fathers's Day. We decided to order for takeout. The line to place orders was pretty long but it went so quick. While we were there for coffee, I couldn't resist getting a croissant so I got a Pistachio Cream croissant to go along with my cold brew but when I saw the Apple turnover, I decided to order that too. The wife ordered a cold brew and a Guava danish. We also got Nutella croissants for the kids. The restaurant has outside and inside seating. It is really nice Inside and very nicely decorated. I put a splash of creamer but no sugar (which I normally put sugar in my coffee). I must say, it was so good and refreshing! It was not too strong or not too light. As for my croissant, baked with a perfect buttery, flaky outside and fluffy inside. It was a perfect size. With every bite the anticipation of biting into the filling was exciting. Once i reached the filling it was balanced with sweetness and pistachios and well worth the wait. I have not tried the Apple Turnover but I'm sure it will be equally delicious. My wife loved the Gauva Danish and I tried a bite, I was really really good. Overall, if you have a chance to stop by, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. We will be back to have dinner or lunch.

This adorable cafe is an Italian dream. From the fantastic decor to the delectable pasty cases, it's a must try. Service is quick and food quality is top notch Food reviews: Funghi slice--the thick Roman crust is incredibly airy and crisp. Sauce is the perfect complement of flavor. Not too mushroom heavy Truffle arancini--must try! Truffle flavor is mouth watering. Crispy outside provides nice balance to creamy interior

I've only been here twice and only needed once to fall in love. This is a family owned business that serves Italian food, cafe items and gelato. Everything here is about presentation. I love the indoor decor, it seems like you are outside on a warm Italian day; there is laughter from family and friends & great food. Service is wonderful! I love the way they pack their to-go items. It was quick and easy for me to carry two coffees and a box of pastry to my car. They packed my pastry with Sorelle wrapping paper underneath & tied a red ribbon around the entire box!! Not to mention the thank you note. I'm obsessed!!!

I just found out about this adorable boutique Italian Cafe from a friend last week and it's definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish. There are so many options here with regards to a light lunch, pasta dinner or tempting Italian style cannoli, Panna cotta, and croissants that you may be hard pressed to make up your mind on what to choose. This past Sunday I came here with a good friend of mine and chose the extremely delicious margarita pizza which is served as a generous thick slice of bread with tomatoes and sauce and also I had an iced latte. Today I am here by myself enjoying the happy vibes. I chose a truly yummy Arancini Rice ball with Sicilian meat sauce inside. It's buttery and melty and delectable. The outside has a crunchy and crisp texture and the inside portion of rice and bolognese...sauce so tasty and melty with cheese dripping off your fork. I also wanted to try a house made Gelato half chocolate and half espresso I can honestly say it's delicious too. This place has been packed on both visits and the Cafe is not just a coffee bar but a wonderful restaurant that serves authentic tasting Italian cuisine. If you're looking for a beautiful and cozy Cafe that serves authentic Italian pastries and cuisine I think you will love visiting Sorelle.

Cute little establishment. Nothing like I had thought it was gonna be. Not bad. Just different. You order from the counter where they have on display their full menu. There was a line. Cuz the food is pretty good. But I'm thankful cuz I was trying to decide what to order. We get to be register and they're so patient as we ask questions. ALL THE QUESTIONS. We order the Rigatoni Pasta, a Meatball Sub, the Caprese Salad (best I've had), the Spicy Calbrese Pizza, Minestrone Soup and the Arancini Prosciutto Cotto. Yes. We ordered a lot of food. Welcome to my life! ‍ The food comes out as it is ready. All foods were quite tasty. My least favorite was the Cotto. But even that wasn't horrible. Everything was better with a little crushed red pepper. But that's just who we are. We like a little spice. Note: They do NOT offer a Diet Anything. But they do have water. For everything we ordered the total was $57.78. Like I mentioned above. We ordered a lot of food and obvi took food home with us. The place is so well decorated and just so pretty. I would definitely come again. They do have a lot for parking.

We tried Sorelle again for lunch. The apple turnover was flakey but the filling was applesauce and not chunky with apples at all. We ordered the caprese salad. It was bland. The tomatoes were pale, refridgerated, (in August?) and the balsamic was vinegar and not glaze. Very thin. The ravioli was reasonably good but bland. The Eggplant Panino was icy cold. The cheese was not melted and there was no seasoning at all. The cappuccino was very good. The restaurant is cute but sadly the food is only so so.

Food was amazing !! Recommendations are the mushroom pizza bread, mussels and arugula and pear salad for appetizers. For meals we had the rigatoni with meatballs, chicken Marsala and one other chicken dish. All were amazing and reminded us of our Italian families cooking. Something to note: is very self serve. You get your own cups, silverware and order at the desk inside. You'll get a number and they'll bring it to the table. Tough having to get up and go inside anytime you need anything. Very European style restaurant. There was live music on a Wednesday and we had a nice evening. We sat on the patio where it is dog friendly! :) I want to try the breakfast and buy some wines to take home next time. Thanks Sorelle !

The first tricky part is finding the entrance because it's not really obvious as expected in long grove There's no real signs. Further, the next tricky piece is finding parking if you can get it on the street or find it in the lot now luckily both are free. Once I managed to find a door to the place, it turned out to be the back door and so I had to climb up a bunch of stairs in order to get to the front part of the restaurant to actually check in for the reservation. And yes, please make a reservation. This place does get packed even for early times. The service was really friendly and very nice however, I will say overall the food was OK but nothing really standoffish. For example, if you look at the pictures of the food quite bluntly it just looks like they slapped food onto a plate. There's really no thought that's been put into the presentation. There's really been no thought also to just the pure amounts of cheese and sauce that are also creating a swimming pool on the plate. We ordered the grilled octopus for appetizer and even that was swimming in olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette and too much of everything I think the food is OK but nothing fantastic. Considering the overly saturated Chicagoland market of Italian restaurants I wouldn't necessarily say this was at the top of my list.

As this was just down the street from our office in the Kemper Business District, she thought this would be a cool place to hang out to recap the year for our department and she was right. The place itself is a cute house with what looks like a cool outdoor space, when the weather is nicer. Inside is a small bar when you first walk through the front door. We we seated in a small room off from the main bar, next to a lovely fireplace. We started out with charcuterie boards. Prices range from 4 pieces for $30, 6 pieces for $46 and 8 pieces for $58. The selection of meats and cheeses and were very nice, but the prices seemed steep. The cheeses and meats were as follows: Wooley Rind (Green Dirt Farm) - soft ripened sheep's milk MontAmore (Sartori) - semi firm Italian style Cheddar Goat Gouda (Central Coast Creamery) - crumbly aged goat cheese "Creamy Sexy Blue" - German triple cream cow's milk with blue veining Jamon Serrano, aged 24 months Stagberry - Elk Salami with dried blueberries Finocchiona - Tuscan style salami with fennel seed Pig & Fig Terrine - Country style pork pate with dried figs, cinnamon, ginger All were very good and had a lovely flavor. Due to the number of people nibbling, I asked for extra bread and was treated with toasted sourdough, which was very nice. For dinner, I got the Chicken Tinga Panini (Tomato-Chipotle Chicken, Queso Oaxaca, Arugula, served with Salsa Verde & Guacamole). This was a very good sandwich. I loved the idea of Chicken Tinga in a sandwich format, and it worked. I had saved half of it to take home to have for breakfast the next day, but got wrapped up in good-byes and walked out and left it. Man I was mad! My manager ordered the Roasted Beets (with whipped Feta cheese, toasted pistachios, red onion, dill and a red wine vinaigrette). The serving was huge! She loves beets and said that the dish was very good A few people got the Broccoli Cheddar soup and said it was very good. I wanted to try the oysters as I love East Coast ones, but at $20 for 6, couldn't wrap my mind around that. The wine list was pretty good and on this particular night, we got bottles for a crazy low price. My manager got a bottle of red (can't remember the name) that was $75, but she got it for half price. Same for me for a lovely bottle of sparkling rose. The hostess had a list of wines on her tablet that she showed us as well that were 50% off. The location is quite a drive from Chicago, but the times I have to go to Lake Zurich for team meetings, I may just stop in to camp out for eats and drinks while waiting for my Uber and rush hour traffic to die out.

Kyle was our server and he was excellent. His attitude was positive and he took time to converse but was also quick with his service. The server often makes the experience and Kyle did his part well! As for the food, we started with a half plate of grilled calamari which was more than enough for two people. The calamari was excellent tasting and perfectly cooked. The sauce was tasty and great for dipping your bread in (you get warm toasty bread at the start of your meal with a plate of seasoned olive oil for dipping). Next, we split an entree of Chicken Franchese which was more than enough food for two people...especially after the calamari. They split the meal into two plates in the kitchen, without us asking, which was really nice. The chicken was tender and flavorful. We substituted angel hair pasta and used the sauce from the chicken instead of marinara. It was excellent. We had some food left and Kyle boxed it carefully for us right at the table (I typically don't like when they take your food elsewhere to box it. I typically do it myself but this was good). Prices have crept up over the years but portions are huge and with service like we had, it makes it feel a bit more worth it. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped inside. There's typically an early crowd that thins out around 6:30 pm. You may have to wait a bit to be seated if you don't make reservations. Hopefully they move into a bigger spot in the mall they're in to make it a bit less packed. Two bathrooms are single occupant and clean but there can be a wait to get in. Gianni's is an excellent restaurant with a great team. You should check it out.
