This is your typical IHOP, which is definitely a good thing. I came here a few months ago after finishing a night shift and the pancakes and hashbrowns really hit the spot. The service was pretty good and the meal was definitely cheap (a huge draw for IHOP). I would say that no matter which IHOP I go to, the chocolate milk just isn't any good and I wouldn't recommend that. They make their hashbrowns with shredded potatoes, so it evens out in the end. First and foremost I've been eating at this IHOP before I could walk or talk (seriously) that's how long they've been around. I love them it's very homey , relaxing , and they have the most sweetest personalities. I can honestly say dine in or take out I've never had an issue. I do take out way more than dine in. If there's ever an issue they will fix it no problem once the manager personally drove the food to my job because of a mistake they made and I thought that was the most nicest thing a company has done. This place speaks for itself honestly. everyone is familiar with the IHOP brand no matter where you live. The food is pretty general and consistent across the board. I wish they would bring the red velvet pancakes back or the birthday cake batter pancakes those were my 2 favorites other than that they're pretty solid. read more

I was here last Saturday morning with my kids, its been a while since i visited this place and one thing i really like about this place is the standard of service, from the receptionist, servers, owner and bussers they are all great. Yeah this fast food has amazing service! Even i had my babies stroller i didn't have any issues to find a table, they took care of everything. I would like to update my previous rating/evaluation of the IHOP in Union, NJ. After the whole fruit cup incident, I harbored an immense amount of annoyance toward them. This morning I got to work, and the mailman handed me a letter from IHOP. Enclosed, was a note, apologizing for the quality of my fruit bowl, along with a $15 gift card to IHOP. This was a very, VERY classy move on their part. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, and they definitely earned one. This IHOP is impossible to get to on a weekend morning. It has very limited seating, so the wait time can be an hour or more. When we go here, we try to go on 'off hours.' We visited on a Monday morning, deciding to go in to work late. The weather was dreary, which is probably why more people weren't out that morning. We were seated right away in one of the tiny booths - where there is barely enough room to fit two plates and two cups of coffee. Surprisingly, the service was very slow, given the lack of patrons. I waited longer for my food than when I go on a busy day. When the food arrived, it was disappointing. I got the Big Two Egg Breakfast, which is my normal choice at IHOP. The poached egg's yolks were solid. They are supposed to be runny. And the hash browns were cold. I guess there's a reason that the weekends draw the crowd. The weekday crew doesn't seem to have a handle on their breakfast foods. read more

Very average food and portions for the prices. There are plenty of local breakfast spots and diners around that serve excellent food, more than filling quantities for the same price. Pretty cramped up for space, which is shocking given this is a chain. Average staff services. Additional sides served to us by mistake were taken back when we didn't mind it. What do they plan to do with it - throw it away (we might as well have had it) or reuse for another order (yikes!) Overall, good for a quick breakfast fix. Whenever I'm on that Route 22 corridor doing my shopping and whatnot, the blue IHOP roof calls out my name. If you haven't been to an IHOP lately, go here, ...now. This IHOP is the best one ever - you can really feel that the owners care about the quality of the food and service, because they are always there making sure everything is perfect for you. I had banana french toast today, yumm. My "paleo" style friend had a steak omelette so big, that she took half home for dinner later. Such a varied and flexible menu, so many choices, everyone can get their favorite foods all freshly prepared. Personally I like that their breakfast menu is available any time (my favorite foods) and has so many combinations and choices, I can get a little of anything that strikes me that day- eggs or omelettes, bacon or steak, french toast or waffles, you name it. But I've had a really great burger here too! I had the WORST EXPERIENCE. First we sit down and the waitress was taking her time but she was very nice to us. She took our order we waited 30 minutes and the food finally came out. 5 staff members came to our table and they brought all the food at once and asked who's food is who's and we weren't entirely sure. One of the workers than said "what the fuck is wrong with these people" within earshot of my parents. Which we then responded that wasn't nice of her to say. Then she proceeded to DENY THAT SHE SAID HER RUDE COMMENT. The denying staff member said "I didn't say anything" which with more pestering changed her comment to "well, I wasn't talking to you". Then the ASSISTANT MANAGER came over telling my parents that worker didn't say her comment and that my mother was making things up. The worst part was the staff members' denial and the assistant manager saying to my parents "that's not what she said" about the rude staff member. Then in turn the assistant manager changing the story and saying "she was not talking to you". Completely unacceptable and upsetting to know that the iHop we have been coming to for over 45 years has let us down. What made it completely worse was my hungry 8 year old cousin with us and watching the whole thing unravel. Goodbye iHop and anyone who's looking to have patient customer service and dependable assistant managers should NOT come here. read more

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger & crispy banana cheesecake. I just want to commend this IHOP for the single best delivery experience ever. I was genuinely amazed at the level of thoughtfulness. The banana cheesecake comes with ice cream (1$ extra), strawberry & whipped cream topping. The beautiful people here actually put all of the toppings in separate containers! The burger and onion rings were fresh and warm without being soggy. And they gave me handfuls of ketchup packets (which was neatly presented in a paper bag) and utensils. I've gone to 5 star restaurants that have yet to manage packaging food to go, so bravo! read more

I've been to this IHOP plenty of times before and have never been disappointed. I've usually come only at night so not sure how it is during breakfast or lunch. I've always been seated right away and service has always been great. Plenty of servers who were always attentive. When I came in last night, they were all laughing and making jokes by the kitchen, which is always great to see. Shows the staff getting along and genuinely like each other. I sometimes prefer this location over the one closer to me because it's larger so there's usually always plenty of room. With syrup being a typical condiment used in this type of restaurant, I'm pleased to say their menus aren't sticky. I've gone to dine in theaters where their menus have been sticky and tough to handle. IHOP keeps everything clean! Would definitely come back. read more

This IHOP location is amazing!! The staff is very welcoming and treats like you like a queen or king. They are very prompt and the ambiance is pretty good for family time. They also offer cash back and delivery in the area. You can order online for delivery or go. Hopefully, they will deliver to more areas. We came here on a Sunday around noon. It was pretty packed so we had to wait about a half an hour. The hostess was so nice and friendly when we added our name to the wait list. She greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm. She was also concerned with the cleanliness and daily operations on the floor. She noticed gum on the floor and someone cleaned it up immediately. You can tell she really cares about her job. As for the service, our server was pleasant as well. All the servers work hard to make sure the customers are happy with their orders. And they all work together as a team. Separate employees to seat you, separate employees to serve, and separate employees to bus the tables. Like busy bees who know their specific jobs to make the hive effective. The food itself was perfectly cooked. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet and buttermilk pancakes. The kiddies had ordered from the pictures provided on the kid's menu that also acts as an activity page with crayons included. They ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon and sausage, chicken and waffles, and silver dollar pancakes. I used to always order the silver dollar pancakes as a kid and they still have them!
