This Southaven location was the worst IHOP I've been too. Our salad tasted like bug spray and the our eggs were half done. I don't understand why the service was so bad because there was only 8 people in the whole restaurant. New cooks are definitely needed. read more

Just tried to eat here after being at the casino with my family and were told they didn't have enough room for 7 people to sit together we would have to split up. Keep in mind it's 1 am you could clearly see through the window they had more then enough room for us. Not sure if it was just pure laziness or stupidity either way we will not be going back ever. read more

Amazing service and food. Melanie (server) and Ricardo (cook) are the best thing to happen at this IHOP late night. They work together flawlessly to make an experience at IHOP enjoyable. Our visit yesterday is the worst service I ever received. We arrived after the lunch rush and seated within 15 minutes. Our party of seven, with three young kids, took over 45 minutes to receive our food. My two year old didn't receive his order for another 10 minutes - it's chicken nuggets and fruit. How long does it take to warm up nuggets and scoop out fruit. The waitress knew we were pissed and even brought the manager to our table. Unfortunately, I didn't speak since I was utterly pissed off and didn't want to be rude. He made no effort to even try to make us feel better. To top it off, we had two checks. My family of three was in the corner. Easy to identify what went on our checks. NO, we paid for everyone's drinks and two entrees. This isn't rock science we sat together and the waitress knew which folks were associated with each party. It's a chain restaurant with it's systems and prepackaged food. Waited 20 minutes before our waiter even came to our table. Ordered our drinks and food at once. Food took about an hour. My food came out first and i was done eating before my husband got his food. So he watched me eat and i watched him eat. My pancakes and eggs were cold. Only thing fresh was has browns. Definitely won't be back. read more

Hands down my favorite place for breakfast so far, theres something about be greeted to big friendly smiles when you walk in the door and your servers making sure you have everything you need on top of just chatting with you throughout your visit. We arrived at 10:30 on a Wednesday. Three parties were waiting. We approached the hostess stand and were completely ignored. A second hostess even peered around us to acknowledge one of the waiting parties. A line formed behind us and still we were ignored. Every time I try to eat at this restaurant the service is so slow. Went in Friday around 5 pm and place was empty. We were seated and saw three people waiting to pay and no one would take our order. I visited this restaurant on Saturday night March 23, 2019 and while sitting in a booth with my family we seen roaches crawling on the seat. We were able to kill one of them and place it in a napkin. When we asked for the manager the waitress got an attitude. We tried not to make a scene about it and handle it quietly but the waitress became rude. Then we addressed the Manager he acted as if we were lying and asked to see the roach and stated they need to call the pest control and offered a discount all while members of our party became sick from the encounter. read more

Not to mention that was after we asked to talk to the manager about what was or rather wasn't going on. She apologized that she "didn't know". Really? Walked in at 10 am and immediately sat down. Seemed pretty good for a busy Sunday morning. Order was taken around 10:10 and drinks arrived promptly. Our food was delivered at 10:30 (a little late) and my omelette was not correct. The waitress assured me that she would get a correct one out shortly. My husband waited to eat his food. Around 10:45 the waitress returned with empty hands and explained that the cook made it incorrectly again and he is remaking it now. At 10:50 the waitress returned with what looked to be one egg scrambled with a few veggies and I said that looked nothing like the other omelettes that I had seen delivered to other tables and she agreed, yet again saying another one would be made quickly. At 11:05 my omelette was finally delivered correctly by the general manager who said he was very sorry for the wait and I thanked him for my food. By this point my husband and I had already picked and eaten his meal. We finished my omelette and received the check around 11:30. The check was for the total amount and I asked to speak with the manager. The manager brought a ticket to our table with a $5 comp and acted like he was being generous. My omelette cost $8.99 and he only wanted to take off $5? I quickly asked for him to remove the cost of the entire omelette as my husband and I did not get to eat our meals at the same time and it took 4 tries to get my order correct (a simple egg white omelette). The manager agreed and we went on our way. Poor service and very disorganized staff. One of the waitress commented on the fact that it was due to the "hispanics" in the kitchen and stated "now I'm not racist but", not to mention the fact that she was a women of color... now I am a Caucasian women and I never would comment that the service was due to the color of someone's skin. Will never return to this location. And will likely never be a patron of IHOP ever again. read more

The service was good, we had a new employee for a server and she did the beat she could with what she learned. She kept our drinks full and our table cleaned. I am however a little dissapointed in the portion of food. I expected the pancakes to be a decent size but what my family and I received was pretty upsetting. The pancakes where mini and the bacon was not even an inch long. The food was good though but because of the small portions with a $70 bill I will not be going back. read more

Worse service experience ever - 45 minute wait to be served ice-cream!! We arrived about 4pm (Wednesday) and the restaurant was less than 15% full - perhaps that should have been a warning. We were seated quickly but the waitress then took a very long time to serve us, after promising to be "right back". After only 1 minute of receiving the menus another waitress was at our table trying to take orders - when we explained we would need just a few minutes she got pushy about us ordering drinks immediately. We then had to wait another 10 minutes before the waitress returned, despite there being virtually no other customers! The waitress had no idea about the menu and was unable to answer any questions. In the end we ordered an iced coffee, a fruit crepe, a cheesecake desert and a sundae. It took 40 minutes for the first 3 dishes to arrive and another 5 minutes for the sundae. Yes, that's right, 45 minutes to be served ice-cream in an almost empty restaurant!! There was no apology or offer of resolve the situation from either the waitstaff or the managers for the ridiculous delays or the horrible service we received. The manager we saw in the store earlier had (conveniently) disappeared when we paid and left! IHOP = International House of POOR! We will never visit IHOP again. read more

This is probably the worst Ihop I have ever eaten at and unfortunately it's the closest one to my house. The service is usually terrible. I recently went there twice and ended up staying for over an hour because the server continuously ignored us, was MIA, and the food took forever to come. One of those times, there wasn't even very many people in there! The food is very inconsistent there. It is NEVER prepared like it shows on the menu. About a month ago, I was served eggs that tasted like butter because they had so much on them (they were WET), hashbrowns that were not browned at all, and pancakes that weren't completely cooked on the inside. Last week I went and the service was better, but they STILL couldn't prepare the pancakes like I requested. The place was empty and I saw the waitress write down our orders, so I am guessing this is a cook problem. All I asked was hold the icing, and put whipped cream on top (red velvet pancakes). I got red velvet pancakes with icing inbetween the pancakes and no whipped cream. They have had so many opportunities to redeem themselves but I am done. I am going to start driving to Olive Branch Ihop. read more

Our waitress (Torie )did not even pay attention to us after we placed our orders. The table next to my husband and I ordered after us and had 4 ppl yet they had their food before us and were out of there before us as well. After an hour wait we got our food and it was ice cold the only warm thing we got were my pancakes. We obviously told her to just take it back and give us our check. The manager tried to persuade us to stay and that he'd get it made again but we were just hungry and had to get to work so we told him no thanks. My family of 3 went on Thursday night at 10:00pm was greeted promptly at the door and seated at a table. There were only 3 other tables with people at them at this time. The booth beside us had some teenagers cutting up and throwing food around but they were getting ready to leave. The waiter went to their table about 10 times to clean and get waters, and to go cups and tickets...etc...they finally left. Not one did he acknowledge we were sitting there. Okay maybe this isn't his section. But after 20 minutes of waiting and not even seeing a wait person we got up and walked out. One other family who came in after us rcvd water glasses but when they showed the waitress it had lipstick on the glasses and that the silverware was dirty...she said "I TOLD THE MANGER THESE DISHES HERE AIN'T CLEAN BUT HE DON'T DO NOTHING". After hearing this that family also got up and walked out. As we were walking out the door....5 waitress were all standing at the front, just standing around chatting. Apparently the manager needs to come out from where ever he or she was and LOOK AROUND. NEVER AGAIN....beware! read more
