I got a waffle combo, the person serving me was super sweet, I think her name was Maricel, not entirely sure I just know it started with an M, she was very polite and respectful. I love coming here in the middle of the night when I'm in the area cause it's the only think open. In my few experiences coming here the servers are super sweet and the food has been good. There is a bit of a wait but I'm never too annoyed at that cause things can take awhile in this kind of business. Although some workers do not fully adhere to Covid-19 policies (don't wear masks properly) which is very concerning especially with new variants like Omicron. Some fellow customers do glare at me but not surprising being an Asian American during these times. Overall I have had good experiences at this IHOP and I would definitely comeback, although looking through other reviews I'm a little hesitant if I have to talk to the manager. Where do you go when it's 3:30 in the morning and you just left the bar? If you answered home... that comes later. If you said some place with sugary food and tasty morsels then you are correct. IHOP was the nearest spot to where we were in Capitol Hill so this where we came. We were seated fairly promptly which is good, right? There was a quasi-homeless person sleeping in the booth closest to the door but they weren't snoring so it's all good. I hate me some snoring when I'm trying to get my late night breakfast on. Just as an FYI... there are no milkshakes here. Also, there are no boys in the yard. Our server... well... he was there... in the restaurant. He may have been extremely stoned, incredibly sleepy or a puppet human that was being controlled by little aliens living inside his skull. This is how they take over... by serving us slightly mediocre pancakes people! I ordered the Cinnastack. Imagine if pancakes made sweet passionate love to a Cinnabon and they had quadruplets... and I ate those quadruplets. Throw on some fake whipped cream and some butter and you've got an idea of what my meal was like... minus the screaming and snoring. The pancakes were a bit on the rubbery side of the food pyramid but the cinnamon glaze and frosting made it such a sugar bomb that my body got nuked on the deliciousness and went into a sugar coma. I'm surprised I was able to drive after wards... I may have blacked out from sugar overdose. BUT, MAN! It was tasty. Did I mention the table was sticky and covered in muck? Or that the booth seat was competing against the table for the most abstract art piece in the joint? The puppet human brought the bill and meandered off again to plot nefarious things against the human race. I paid. We left. The world is still here which, when the sugar claimed my consciousness, was definitely in doubt. I'll likely come here again for some late night sugar noshings since there aren't many choices. I have been to many IHOPs and I have to say that this is the worst one. We waited for 5 min for the server to come and talk to us and right after he brought us four waters. However, there were only three of us. Soon after, another server brought us three waters and asked us if we wanted to keep it. So they left 7 glasses of water on our table. When the other server came again to take our order, he didn't have pen and paper to write our order. I knew he was going to mess up our order but I didn't say anything. When they brought my friends food, he told me that they didn't make my order right so he had to order again. Twenty minutes later, I had to talk the manager to expedite my order. Then I heard the manager yell at him right in front of me, which is just inappropriate. He then brought my friend pancakes when he ordered hash brown. He then gave me his pancake and told me to eat it while I wait for my order. Again the manner in which he said it was so inappropriate that my appetite was gone by then. He had the nerves to come and tell me that he was going to hook me up with a discount. Really? is that how a business should talk to their customers? Anyways, he gave us the bill and gave me a 20% military discount. I wanted to call the number on the receipt to complain about the service but I didn't want him to lose his job so I just paid, gave him the tip and left promising myself that would be the last time going to that IHOP. read more

We are visiting Seattle from Hawaíi and stayed at the Sliver Cloud Hotel next door and decided to eat at IHOP for breakfast. So we were seated pretty quickly but the person who sat us and took our drink orders was pretty rude and seemed as if she didn't have time for us. Mind you, it was empty. The person next to us had to ask for a menu. Then our waitress, Andrea took our order and seemed very nice and then my dad asked for cream for his coffee. We waited over 10 minutes for cream and when my dad reminded her for the cream she sarcastically said, "I heard you the first time." That definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. If we weren't super hungry, we would've gotten up and left. But food came I had the strawberry and banana French toast combo. My dad had the breakfast sampler but he had ordered poached eggs, but his eggs were sunny side. Had to send it back, but waitress was nice about it. Wow this place is interesting. There is such a variety of people that come in here and it mainly depends on the time of day (24hr restaurant) and day of the week. Bar rush is incredible. Went into IHop in a not very good mood and left in an excellent mood due to the friendliness of the staff! I've never been to an IHop that had such friendly and upbeat staff before and it was a great experience! The quality of the food was excellent, the service was top notch, and the waitress was upbeat and so friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with my family's visit to IHOP. Our server Sean was on point and very friendly. I didn't expect him to follow the steps of service but he did while juggling other demanding tables. I think my favorite thing was the fact to sensed urgency and got our son a bowl of fruit before our entrees hit the table. Everyone is very attentive. while I was waiting for my take out order I was asked by a couple different people if I was waiting to be seated. Ordering for my brother, who has very specific diet restrictions, is sometimes difficult but Jakele was so helpful, patient and understanding. 24 hr service means this place is I-HOPpin at 2 AM every single night. I feel bad for the people who work here. They're like nurses for the drunken and crazy people of Capitol Hill. I'd give this place 2.5 (G-d I feel like I am a judge on Star Search lol) and that is mostly due to service cause that is what this place has going for it and them having their own parking lot. I have mixed feelings about this place. I went in a couple of days ago and I received bammer service. The server was not very attentive, by that I mean she showed her face only 2x. First to take our order, and second to bring our food and the check. URGH I hate when resturants do that, it makes me feel so rushed. Anyways, I had to walk over to the hospital area tonight and had not had a chance to eat much all day. Figured I would stop and grab some eggs, sausage and bacon. Skipped the hashbrowns, that is what takes the longest and I was in a hurry. Fresh, well done. The eggs? I ordered the hardest to do, over medium (white all the way, yolk not...the less edge the better, these had NO edge.) I fry eggs. This Ihop looks like it has been here for a while. However, its kept clean and in good shape. The food is about what you expect from a Ihop. The people who work here are very nice, which leads to this Ihop having great service. Aside from the seemingly always minimally short staffed approach to service this location suffers from, this location would get five stars if the bathrooms were cleaner. If the amount of drunk college teenagers were less (unfortunately it's next to a college and on Capitol Hill) and if they people or servers that take your phone order were more polite. Don't expect the food to be ready in the time they tell you either over the phone. Wait an hour and then leave your house. Honestly I've given up home on any delivery or pick up service. Took my large group of drunken (various degrees of drunk, from the stumbling to the mostly sober) friends to this place late at night when we needed some genuine fuel in our bodies. Service was patient, courteous, and friendly to an almost unexpected degree. They had the patience of saints and the positive experience we had here turned our somewhat sauntering down night around. My daughter has severe dairy and gluten allergies and so she has to order off the sides menu, our server Daniel was AWESOME he made sure everything was gluten and dairy free that she ordered and brought it on one plate instead of what usually happens and she gets a bunch of little side plates. We came to eat after going to an event. I ordered the sirloin tips with shrimp, mashed potatoes, and corn. My onions and mushrooms were not cooked. My friend was not offered steak sauce, no butter for her broccoli and it was also undercooked. I ordered a hot chocolate for my three year old son. The cup was over flowing with whip cream, where it was dipping from the sides and the waitress brought us napkins so we had to clean it up. Also, my daughter ordered the grinch pancakes and was brought another type of pancakes.
