When we arrived the hostess were clearly confused about how and where to seat us so getting a table took about ten minutes. Next two different waitresses tried to serve us which we hoped would be a good sign, but instead our service just got worse. It took over 40 minutes to get our food, some of which was missing and the other cold and lackluster. We finally ended up just going up front to check out. Definitely won't be returning. read more

I trust Yelp! reviews because Google reviewers rated this restaurant with 4 stars and TripAdvisor listed it with 3-1/2. Yelp! rates it with two stars: the best it deserves. A mediocre meal and rudimentary service is what we were dealt when only one other couple was dining in during the supper hour (5-6pm) over an extended holiday weekend. Grilled tilapia and grilled chicken were the blandest possible with the latter also rubbery. A rice/quinoa mixture tasted like it was cooked days ago, refrigerated, then set out to warm up. Yes, it was cold. Steamed broccoli also had cool spots and was just the minimum point beyond raw. Our server forgot to bring requested syrup for pancakes and had to be reminded before we received it. She reappeared at the end of our meal, apologized for not checking back, and mumbled some explanation we didn't understand. The entire point of chain restaurants is consistency--the expectation one location will provide the same results as another. Based upon the performance of this location during our visit IHOP would have no future as the results here should not be duplicated anywhere else. read more

But I gave this a 1 star becuz when I asked for a specific table the waitress acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. And then it took forever to order. As others have said, our food was COLD, so bad I had to send my hash browns back but my eggs were very cold as was the crepes. The bacon and sausage were good. My wife's omelet was also cold. I found the pancakes to be without flavor, the link sausage very tiny, too small even for a child's plate. Serving sizes in general are entirely too small for the average adult and the flavor is just not there. I believe in giving every restaurant the opportunity to prove themselves, so I went there for the third time only to discover that there wasn't any improvement over the course of two years. Every time I come here they're out of something. Today they're out of chicken fried steak, breakfast potatoes and French vanilla creamer. Last time I was here they lost our order and left us sitting with no help for over an hour. I asked them to comp the coffee and the manager wouldn't let the server do it. 2nd lunch destination for training for first responders. Jarret was our waiter he was friendly and attentive as well. This has to be the smallest I-hop I ever been inside of..quaint and cute. Mgmt immediately had him come to our table to recognizing who we were. They thanked us for what we do by giving us 30% discount off our tickets. In return gave a nice tip. A few hours ago, I was a firm believer in two things: Epstein did NOT kill himself and you cannot fuck up steak and eggs. I now only know the one truth. The "sirloin tips" that were prepared for me were all the shapes, colors and sizes you'd expect to see in a toilet bowl. Lazily "seared" on one side and marinated in a sickly sweet mixture of sugar and water, the tips were undercooked, half assedly cut and absolutely horrible. They were so oxidized when raw that I didn't even realize that the gray portions were raw. The lone reason for the 2 stars instead of 1 was the fact that they were busy and obviously understaffed. Regardless, our server, Carly, was kind, polite and everything you could ask for in terms of service. For that reason, I shoved down the desecration of a meal and smiled so that she wouldn't have to go through an in pleased customer. I understand it's the House of Pancakes and not steak and eggs, but if your job is to cook the menu...figure something out. The first waitress was new, so I give her credit for attempting to take our order, as no one was helping her. Stationed here on Leonard Wood and wanted to head here after work for some breakfast/brunch. Myself and my wife to this location on 20220503. When we got inside, it was not busy at all. There was a family paying at the counter. Although the waiter made eye contact with us, we stood there for a good 10/15 minutes before being seated. She told us a few times "let me see what is available" when the restaurant wasn't even full. She finally sat us down in the corner. After being seated, we went ahead and asked for drinks. I grabbed a water and wife asked for Tea. The tea that was brought out for her had a big piece of paper inside it (was not from straw, we checked). We than asked another waiter to bring a second tea out. (This tea had a piece of crumb the size of 2 rice grains inside). After getting our order to the waitress, she said "she'll get the order in ASAP". She went to the register and did a few other things before taking our order into the kitchen. While sitting, two other families came in, at two separate times. They were seated within 2 minutes by other waiters who just finished ringing up a family leaving. After ordering our food, we sat there. That's when I noticed the people who came in way after us ordered. Within 10 minutes, their food was already brought to the table. Ours took 20 minutes. The whole time we were sitting, there was a lady who looked liked she was in charge inside the kitchen behind the doors that just keep eyeing us out which made us more uncomfortable. I just felt a bad vibe inside this restaurant. A unwanted vibe like we weren't welcomed into this location. Although we got a nasty unwanted vibe from our waiter, I still left a generous tip!! Being an IHOP lover I was so disappointed going to this location. Got seated right away, not that busy and plenty of people working. Ordered right away and waited 30+ minutes for our food. I have never waited more then 10-15 minutes for my food at IHOP so this makes so sense to me. It's just eggs. You would think all IHOP's have the same standards. First impression of the restaurant was not great. The floors were super dirty and people were running around like crazy when it wasn't super busy. The customer service was ok but the food was not. I had the pancake combo which consists of 2 eggs 2 pieces of bacon 2 pancakes and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns tasted freezer burnt. My eggs were cooked perfectly but had no flavor. My bacon was good though. And then the surprising part was my pancakes. They brought me 2 pancakes on a plate the same size as the pancakes so when I poured my syrup it went everywhere and got super messy. Not my best experience at a restaurant. My family of 5 came to eat lunch after hanging out at Fugitive Beach on July 15, came in about 2-2:30pm and there was just a handful of tables. However there were 6-7 workers standing up front chatting it up, one being on the phone. They asked how many we told them 5, I excused myself to the bathroom, I came out to see a younger kid seating our table and having a very hard time with it, not exactly sure how this is difficult. So we sit down completely and we wait, and wait some more. Another two top table is sat right behind us, mind you after we came in they were sat. The server gets their drink order and comes right back with them. As we are still waiting I notice to my left there are 5 other workers and a manager stuffing their faces with food and talking. I'm all for a break, but if you're seeing struggles get your butt up and help!! They did nothing!!! Finally after 10 minutes we get asked about drinks. Then she goes back to the two top and I hear her ask someone to get our drinks for her while she's finishing up the order on the table that came in after us. Still waiting for those drinks now at 15 minutes. Manager and other staff still sitting on their a**es doing nothing. While continuing to wait another couple of minutes for the drinks another server comes up and asks if we've been helped I said kind of, pretty sure I startled her at this point, she started taking our drink order again, by that time our actual server came with drinks. She says she is sorry and explains she is new (which in this line of work you never say you're new, it may work for a while, but it did not give her any sympathy with me). She said I assume you're ready to order, we give her our order and it's placed. Still seeing staff sitting there eating, went up to about 9 employees coming by the group of workers and chatting, 2 cooks even show up. All the while watching the shit show continue! At one point the manager finally got off her butt and came and talked to us, she explained the girl was new and had some troubles (a manager making an excuse for a new server is also unacceptable, especially when you're sitting there not helping her, to many excuses) she said she was going to discount items on the bill for our long wait, then sat back down again. Another I assume manager came up and said they had taken care of the bill. Still no food! Finally our food came out, my moms was wrong with a quick fix, my stepdads was wrong, egg under cooked, basically the egg was remade and put on there. Food was pretty good. After we are halfway through the server said are we all on one bill, I said well your manager said she was taking care of it. She said oh! Why would a manager not tell her, that makes her look like an idiot. I did notice at the end that they were having a new person sit down and do paperwork, while their still sitting and eating, what does this show the new employee? We were there a total of an hour and 45 minutes from start to finish. Unacceptable when there is maybe 5-6 tables in there. The lack of teamwork, the lack of coworkers helping out including managers is disgusting! What they don't know is I've been a server for 22+ years, as well as have been a manager of a restaurant. I'm currently working at a well established restaurant in Kansas City, MO. My blood was boiling at it all, I could not believe there are restaurants out there that allow these things to go on. My boss would be through the roof if we did any of these things. They should be ashamed of the employees at this store, especially the manager!! We visited IHOP by lack of any better breakfast places in Rolla and because it was close to where we needed to be. The place smelled and looked brand new. Staff was nice. The food, however, we weren't a fan. My husband got pancakes with strawberries and they tasted like onion. I had a hash brown with and egg and bacon. My has brown also tasted like onion, but had no onion in it. I'm assuming everything is made in the same pan without washing it. Obviously, it bothered me less than my husband. Our son had chocolate pancakes with chocolate chips (only few chocolate chips). I'm giving this location one star for facility and one for service. We are definitely not going back. read more

So they can randomly charge my bank account whenever they run a little low on customers? Naturally I called them and Naturally they passed the buck and blamed the credit card company. They did have some kind of manager call me and apologize but still passed the buck and blamed the credit card company. I am going to start using more cash again in the future. Went in to dine aware of the negative reviews but I have to admit they are rather accurate. Walked in and about three servers walked passed ensuring not to give eye contact and no one acknowledged us until a manager came over. Once we were seated there was salt all over my side of the table that I wiped off myself due to the guy that lead us to the table disappearing immediately after taking us to the table. The table itself was on a swivel as it appeared to have been pulled from the adjoining wall, lastly there was food (hash browns, eggs, and crumbs) all over the floor under our table.
