Slow service place was dirty see the pics. I wouldn't recommend. It's not hard to clean up it was not busy at all.

The restaurant was nice. The service was exceptional. My eggs were horrible. I asked for one egg scrambled with cheese. They couldn't make that happen. I returned the first eggs, they were the premixed scrambled eggs. I explained I wanted one cracked egg scrambled with cheese. They brought the premixed scrambled with egg whites poured in. I am so particular about my eggs and this was disappointing however the Waffle was awesome. In their defenseless Mother's Day so the other cool maybe in the back ;) I would recommend but don't order eggs, if you want real eggs.

The waitress was nice and helpful. It did take us some time to decide on what to order as there was a half dozen of us. The food did take a while to come out- which isn't that big of a deal- but having to wait s long time and then receiving items that were cold- is a big deal. The pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash downs were all cold. They must have been waiting for all of the items to cook before bringing the plates over. They need to work on timing with preparing all plates or bringing things as they are ready because cold food isn't that fun or appetizing. On the side note my kid adored the cupcake pancakes- he had no complaints.

I usually am a huddle house breakfast kind of guy; you know, the type no shirt smoking a cigarette and making people uncomfortable. Though the tattoo on my neck that read HOE (huddle over everything) may have thrown off the waitress, she was more than accommodating. When I told my server I didn't wang eggs, she said that I was getting eggs and I could eat around then, which made me feel at home. At IHOP, you can't see the cook smoking at the grill, but I like to imagine he was lighting up a Marlboro while heating my country-fried steak in the microwave. IHOP may be my go-to if I'm in Richmond if I'm traveling through and haven't defecated recently. Almost immediately after leaving, I ventured to Meijer, where I committed a terrorist attack in stall number one. I probably sat on the porcelain throne for 30 minutes, which was right on par for my usual breakfast/dinner establishment. Quality-wise the food was pretty good, and the waitress was great, but she was no Brenda from huddle house taking a star off for what this food did to my intestinal tract.

The pancakes, they already took back my food or else I'd show the other hairs

Food is always poorly prepared. Pancakes and French toast is soggy. Wish there was an alternative in this town.

It's one reason I don't go out for breakfast ~ I can make a pretty good breakfast at home. No use paying someone to do something I can do. So, going into Jackson's restaurant, a mom and pop restaurant specializing in home cooked style food, I had my doubts. Walking up to what resembled a school cafeteria lunch line only furthered my doubts. And, seeing the sheer number of different options sitting out behind the glass window only furthered my suspicions. Look, I was wrong. The food here is really good. The service is super friendly and helpful. I was so overwhelmed by all the choices I just told the lady behind the glass counter to pick me something. She obliged with a kindness that made me think she knew me somehow. She chose the chicken and dumplings, beef stew, apples, and two different types of corn bread. Now, I thought initially, and she even admitted, that the chicken and dumplings/beef stew mix was a little unorthodox, but that they were both so good I had to try them. Both were fantastic. The apples were awesome. I liked both types of corn bread. When I got up to leave, she called me over to the counter and said that since it was my first time there, I'd get a free dessert. You all, I was too full to even try. The food here is both tasty and filling. I was in Richmond for a conference at Eastern Kentucky University. So it was really convenient to stop by. But I'd say that even if you're remotely close, it's worth a visit. Don't, as I did, judge a book by its cover.

Cool, except... half the tables were sitting there just waiting to be used. We ask about eating at the bar--nope, "not allowed." We walk in to order a drink while we wait and people are happily feasting at the bar. Before we could even sip the drinks we ordered, our table was suddenly ready. It was like the restaurant gods flipped a switch: awkward start over, let the good times roll. From then on, the night was smooth sailing. Our server was a rockstar. Attentive, friendly, and somehow always appearing right when we needed them. Now let's talk food. The mac and cheese. Oh. My. Goodness. Forget everything you thought you knew about mac and cheese. This wasn't a side dish--it was a life event. Creamy, cheesy perfection that deserves its own fan club. I'd come back just for that bowl of happiness. So yes, the beginning was a little sitcom-worthy, but Millstone redeemed itself in a big way. Great vibe, great food, and a must-visit in downtown Richmond. If you haven't been, stop depriving yourself and go already.

Kaleigh is super friendly and attentive (example: we didn't have to ask for refills, she perceived the future need and delivered refills before our glass was empty. She also brought us spare napkins without having to ask). Simple little things like this always make the difference between a good meal and a great meal! We both ordered the chicken strips and they were promptly served very hot and cooked perfectly. My salad came in a chilled bowl and the lettuce was crisp, fresh, and cold. Fries were cooked perfectly-- crispy and hot. I also ordered a side of their macaroni and cheese which is always excellent (probably the best Mac and cheese in town). My wife had a sweet potato which was huge! Today's visit was completely different from our previous one and everything was excellent. The manager came around at the end of our meal and was very friendly. Great job tonight Logan's! I must say, if you ever stop and eat here, be sure to ask for Kaleigh to be your waitress!

The only thing that will catch your attention when driving by is the roadside banner mentioning "Open Fridays from 4pm-8pm" -rather poorly designed sign because for years I thought this place was open ONLY Fridays 4-8pm. Today was Friday and I had free time, so I thought I would stop in. When I approached the door, I could see that they are open daytime hours, as well. But without the banner, I never ever would have noticed this place. Anyhow, I ordered Tom's Spicy Burger and a side of onion rings. Delicious burger but neither spicy nor a "Better Burger" -especially for the price. See other reviews for burger description. Kroger's "Private Selection" frozen burger patties taste better and the package of six patties is about the same price as Tom's Spicy. Still, it wasn't bad but it was definitely more pricey than spicy. The onion rings were delicious. I would strongly recommend them as I do prefer battered rather than breaded. They were perfectly fried, great temperature, and they were the highlight of the meal. The fried pickles appetizer was a total waste of $8. Always had deep-fried battered pickle chips at other places. Here? They take a dill pickle spear and slice it long-ways before battering the thin strips and frying. I truly thought they accidentally brought me fried string beans or something. The ONLY detectable flavor was the batter and the ranch dip with the faintest, barely existent hint of dill. I might drop in another time but after a nearly $30 bill for the three items and a drink just for myself, there are other places with a better value. Jackson's comes to mind and they know how to make fried pickles much better!
