Is this a joke? I already had issues with ihop due to their ridiculous pricing and canceling value menus but this is the last straw. I order uber eats for breakfast and I get these tiny mistakes for a pancake. Absolutely ridiculous and a total scam. So tiny, it looks like a kids menu size. OUTSTANDING! We stopped in for a four top on Sunday morning at 11:30 am. No wait. Got a booth. Our server, Zusette, was phenomenal. She had great energy, very friendly, very helpful and knew the menu perfectly. We had a ton of variations in our orders and she got every single one correctly. The food came quickly and was 100% correct and delicious. Zusette was also great about checking in and getting us anything we needed. The decor is fantastic and clean and new. Hubby and I took his daughter for brunch here one day. Since it was on the weekend, we saw a big crowd and had to wait for 15-20 mins for our table. One thing good about this place is that they serve Avocado Toast, something I didn't expect to get from IHOP. They did not serve this at all locations but made a good one here. So, I was satisfied with my brunch. My stepdaughter ordered a chocolate pancake with some icing on top. It looked good and sweet. Hubby ordered French Toast, but I thought it was just ok, nothing great. The service was excellent because they got the order in one order, roger that! My Avocado Toast was served with slices of avocado on top of multigrain bread, which was perfect. The hash potato was awesome, although I didn't care about it. The food was very dry and over cooked. Of your spending any kind of money. They should at least try. The chicken was hard and flavorless. The pancakes were dry too. Plus have gotten smaller. IHOP is always a comfort food for me. I didn't plan on coming here but after trying to search for somewhere serving brunch foods and not really finding anything that speaks to me, I ended up here. Saw the classic blue roof and it just called out to me haha. The service was great - the staff was friendly and the food came out quick. Everyone sat well distanced apart with some tables marked to purposely not seat customers. We ended up getting the country fried steak, a favorite of mine since it comes with hash browns, 2 eggs, and pancakes! The steak was tender, yet crispy on the outside with gravy poured over it. The hash browns are also a fav with its crispy potato pieces on the outside. We also got a ham and cheese omelette with pancakes and mozzarella sticks. The omelette was definitely packed with ham and so much cheese! I hadn't gotten omelettes from IHOP in a while and just found it to be okay. The eggs are definitely from a carton so you get a weird after taste that reminded me of public school eggs. The mozzarella sticks came out hot with the perfect cheese pull but that passed quick. It came with cold marinara sauce, would've been better if it was warm. However, it was crispy so pretty decent if you're craving mozz sticks. Lastly, the pancakes are my all time favorite. IHOP is known for being the house of pancakes and they live up to its name. The pancakes are always soft, super fluffy, and definitely buttery. IHOP is a classic joint for breakfast foods (or even lunch/dinner) but a must get is the pancakes. They never disappoint! read more

This is a nice and quiet IHOP tucked away in Port Jefferson. They have a large parking lot so you don't have to look elsewhere for parking. I came when they had the grinch special (2 grinch green colored vanilla flavored pancakes) with an egg combo for around $10. I'm not a fan of their hash browns because it tastes like hard sticks in my mouth so if you have the option to sub the hash browns with something else, do it. My boyfriend got a chicken fajita omelette. Although the eggs were cooked well, the salsa was really sweet and ruined the whole dish. The staff here though were so nice and willing to take the dish back and change it for something else on the menu. Boy again was we let down. My egg whit omelette was 1/3 eatable. The spinach was not cooked, over ran by white dices onions (I think a whole onion was put on that omelette, and the diced tomatoes where not ripped! I came here on a Saturday morning with my mom. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The waitress was pleasant. I started off with a coffee. They put a small pot on the table. The menu has all kinds of different food options to choose from. I ordered the southwest scramble which was scrambled eggs with jack and cheddar topped with salsa and avocado with a side of red potatoes and onion hash. I also had a choice of toast,tortilla or 2 buttermilk pancakes. Of course, I decided on the pancakes. I topped the pancakes with maple syrup. There are many syrup to choose from. The food was tasty and very enjoyable. The waitress did come by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The only complaint i have is the restaurant was loud. Use to come here with family and friends 10 plus years back. This was the only closest one when the Medford location closed down 20 years ago. While this was quite the drive, it was totally worth it. they alwaysssss forget something you specificly ask for..like BUTTER. and this morning my husband tried calling in a pickup order, and it was just for a sampler but we wanted extra bacon...the girl COULDNT UNDERSTAND, she asked him 10-15 unnecessary questions about THE ONE SAMPLER we wanted. it was absolutely insane. so another employee came on the phone and SHEEE alsoooo didn't understand. it's not hard to take a food order it's REALLY NOT HARD. but TWO of them couldn't do it. i don't know if it's because they barely spoke english or if they are just dumb but it was absolutely insane, to the point my husband just said FORGET IT - and hung up on them. read more

Over the past year I've been here a couple times and it smells like dirty toilet water rags were used to clean EVERYTHING. I've worked in the food industry long enough to recognize the smell of an over used, dirty water rag that's literally been used to clean the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the tables people sit on. We had taken the car nearby for servicing one very cold winter morning and while we were waiting when we decided we needed some refueling ourselves. There was a McDonald's next door, Wendy's across the street but something inside was screamin' PANCAKES! So we trudged the half mile or so with the cold wind in our face saying the way back would be better. Luckily, the usual weekend morning rush had decided to stay warm in bed and we were seated promptly. I like the French crepes but IHOP discontinued them and while a few of the IHOPs have accommodate me in the past (perhaps they had an old packet of the Orange marmalade just for me still waiting) but alas no such luck this time. The food is normal IHOP, good bet for when no other great breakfast place is available or close by. This place is smaller than most other locations but are adept at taking your order, putting it on the table, clearing up and thanking you for your business before Usain Bolt can go past the 100m line. No rush just good ol' quick servicing, which was better than the car service place where we still had to wait. Anyway, the walk back was indeed much better with the wind on our backs. read more

IHOP is what it is, a chain restaurant similar to Dennys. when you enter a place like this, if you were expecting a gourmet experience, then its on you if you're disappointed. I have lived around the block from this restaurant for 2 years and until today I had never visited. Mostly because if I eat breakfast at all, I will order it from the deli and eat it in the car on my way to somewhere else. But it being Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, I decided to treat myself and a couple of friends with an actual sit down breakfast That someone else had cooked, put on the table, and cleaned up. We were pleasantly surprised. The last time I ate at IHOP, it seemed to cater mostly to children, with super sweet entrees, and super sticky tables and syrups dispensers. The Port Jeff location is really clean. The food also seems to have changed. I got pancakes because hey, it's a pancake house. They were moist and delicious, and the strawberry syrup which I had previously steered away from was not as sweet as it used to be. Service was polite and professional, and prices were pretty average for the food and the type of place. Definitely will revisit the next time I want to put food in my body before 1 p.m. read more

I usually dislike IHOPs cause it's just not good for what it's worth. But this location was pretty good. The ones I've been to are always sticky and dirty and gross. This one was the exact opposite. I don't know if all IHOPs renovated or whatever, but their syrup containers changed and are less gross. And their upholstery looked new. Food: It was pretty good. Pancakes were moist and I found out I really like their strawberry syrup! My bf says the blueberry syrup changed. I think they might've changed their syrups too! More natural? I had some eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. They need more flavor unfortunately. I forgot to ask for ketchup while eating my eggs and hashbrowns. But it was alright. I think $10 for that much food is reasonable. Why are their drinks so expensive?! $2.39 seems like a lot.. But I might be wrong. I guess it's okay if theres free refills. Service was fine and good.
