My poor friend is laid up recovering from recent knee surgery. I went to bring her food and thought this would be a nice, light lunch for us to share. Also, they have CocaCola products and regular coke is one of her favorite things, so this was a perfect stop on my way to visit. I ordered online and it was easy enough. Everything was good and packed nice. They did overlook replacing the ranch for chipotle on my sandwich but it wasn't the end of the world. My friend's wrap, although stolen by her daughter, looked yummy as well. Again, another nice size location that I could for sure see myself working in if I had to stop and answer a call or email while in the area. read more

This review was mostly based off of the two smoothies and the customer service we had today. I've never been to one of these before, but while waiting for my son's doctor appointment we definitely needed something to eat/drink and decided just to get smoothies. I got the mango refresher and my son got the kids strawberry banana smoothie. I'm not sure if I got the names correct. The woman was very patient with me since I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, being pregnant sometimes can make a woman a little indecisive/picky lol. She was very lovely and the other staff seemed friendly. Thank you. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Words cannot describe how horrible my visit was, I am never returning! Do not waste your money or breath going to this location. Slowest workers ever. How did my chipotle flatbread take 15 minutes and there managed to be a short hair in it? Disgusting. What happened to good customer service? Go to the Centereach location, they are cleaner, nicer, and faster. read more

The smoothies are so yummy! They are around $6 but the cup is huge. I love the variety they have. I usually just order a smoothie to go and they always taste good. No complaints read more

Best smoothies!! I was dying for a smoothie. I used to be a Jamba Juice fanatic and then I compared ingredients between TSC and Jamba and there was more actual fruit in TSC. Skeptical on taste I went to try it. Did not disappoint!! Made with fruit and ice and no added frozen yogurt or sherbert like jamba. I had them use Splenda which cut calories in half and add whey for a little more filling protein. I can't wait to go back and try other smoothies and healthy food options!! Sign up for the club online. I immediately got a coupon for 99 cent smoothie! read more

I was eating a chicken wrap- I bit into something super hard- thinking it was a bone I spit my food out. You can imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a sheered off RUSTY screw!!!! Chris drove back to TSC and the "manager" did not know how to do an incident report. He handed me an "employee accident" form (I'm not an employee) and told me to sit down and fill it out.. He chucked my wrap and the screw (good thing we took pictures).. Then he didn't sign or time stamp the form... He was surprised when I asked for a copy of the report...I was never offered my money back, I was only offered another chicken wrap- NO THANKS!! I called corporate office- not much help there either. They're going to reach out to the franchise owner to see what she thinks... They should check their equipment better because I'm positive that their machine broke and I almost ate it!!! I don't want to get married with a freaking cracked tooth!!!! Now my rear teeth hurt, and I'm upset. It is now a day after the incident and I have not had any concern from the corporate office or the store!!! read more

i come here mostly every morning before work and get the same thing: Beach Bum with Dark Chocolate. They are all super nice and i think they are starting to learn my name because they stopped asking after the first few weeks LOL they all know it's SiSi's order. but hey, i appreciate anyone who can put up with me in the morning before work! staff is super friendly and very accommodating, i have a severe pineapple allergy that's always in the back of my mind but i've never had an issue which means that they clean everything in the back. the front is always very clean too. definitely recommend to everyone!! read more

Love coming to TSC. Always get a beach bum with white chocolate paired with a buffalo chicken wrap. Wrap today was on point. Was sad to hear that they no longer have ruffles baked chips. Always hate going to the bathroom here. It requires using a grimy key and flipflop that everyone touches after using the bathroom, which then gets placed on the serving table... Not very hygienic. This location does not seem to be staffed very well, as presence lacked. Cleanliness was OK, but could definitely use some love. read more

Service is pretty horrible. They mess up my order every time and I have to go back to correct it. Price has spiked within the past year and it's around 16-17 dollars for a small wrap and a smoothie. Really has gone down hill unfortunately read more

I'm a huge trop fan , I had an unexpected break from class so I ran to Walmart to pick up a few things , decided to go to trop and grab a Smoothie and sandwich for lunch , by far the worst experience ever . The smoothie tasted like sink water and strawberries . When i ordered a lean machine consisting of strawberry and banana and energizer. I took a few sips and couldn't bare the taste any longer so I threw it away when I got to school , then for the sandwich it literally had 2 pieces of chicken and what looked to be a pound of pesto . Disgusting . Never mind the fact that there was 2 people working . One , cashier and also cooking sandwiches and 1 making smoothies . I am so disappointed with this store and I will never ever go back . What a waste of money . The tropical smoothie in Selden is way way way better and it's only 3 minutes down the road . Thanks for a garbage lunch read more

This Tropical Smoothie has been around for a bunch of years, and every time I come here I see new faces working at the register. Must be a big turn around rate for employees and I can tell why. I came on a Saturday afternoon around lunchtime and there was a constant busy flow of customers the whole time I was there. I felt bad for the teenage employees because they seemed so understaffed here and were working their butts off to get the food and drinks out and orders taken. It was about a 15 minute wait for my smoothie, and then I had to wait 5 more minutes for my sandwich. The food was very good and I have no complaints about that, just the service itself. It shouldn't take that long for what I ordered, and the ton of people who were waiting all seemed antsy too. They need to have more people working for a weekend rush time like this. Also, my friends smoothie fell on the floor because the table was super shaky, and when he asked for a new one, they offered him a discount on a new one?! Just give the poor guy a new smoothie for free! read more

I have had l8ke maybe one or 2 meals here that blew me away they where so good! I am so have to say that I can't and don't ever think I'll find a place that makes such wonderful smoothies. And I am pretty sure that I never wanna find one . The prices for the smoothies are so very far and worth it! The food is a little pricey for me but that's just cause ii am poor pretty much. Lol read more

The service here is always fast and friendly. They have a great happy hour special from open 7:00am to 10:00am smoothies are half off so it comes to only $2.98 that's with tax included! They have a vast selection of healthy smoothies, just about any fruit you can want. They also have indulgent smoothies made with chocolate etc. My recommendation is the Chia Banana Smoothie. It's got banana, chia seeds, dates, and almonds. It is so delicious! Their tacos are so flavorful and most certainly healthier than other places to get tacos. read more

This was the first one I ever knew of, it was great when it opened, then it just became the norm. I can't give chains a lot of stars just based off principal but this is probably still the best one I've been to- enjoy. read more

Food is always great. We were helped by a young man named Anthony who went above and beyond to be attentive to us and other customers. Will definitely eat here again. read more

I don't know why I even bothered to try out another TSC. If you are a smoothie lover I guess this is the place for you but if you're just going for the food.. please keep looking. The chipotle chicken club flatbread was appropriately spicy but so ridiculously salty. Salt is a seasoning folks..it's meant to season, not to be the ONLY flavor one tastes. Gag. I guess they want you to eat their food then buy a smoothie to dilute the saltiness. Next time, I'm gonna keep on driving. read more

Once again, nothing but a positive review for Tropical Smoothie in Selden. My favorite go to place for a refreshing smoothie and/or a healthier food option. I've had the opportunity to enjoy the TSC in Selden a few times and it's usually pretty good. I've never had the food here, and have only ordered their smoothies. Their very good but some of them can be very sugary and calorie laden so you must choose wisely. You can augment your smoothies with protein etc, in order to pack a healthier punch and have more of an impact. As far as smoothie places go, it's my favorite so far but I haven't tried all of the "smoothie chains" yet. THIS has been a review by Gaurav read more

I have been to tropical smoothie in other locations but the one in Selden is probably the best one I've been to. They are always friendly, super clean, and on top of things! I even travel passed locations closer to where I live because I like their service! I will definitely go back over and over! read more

Love these smoothies & the food is pretty good too. They have a large selection of smoothies, to which you can add things like protein boost or immune boost. Many of the smoothies have banana so if you don't like banana your selection is significantly less. I always get the Very Berry Green Tea smoothie, I love it. I've tried others but this is my fav. The food is mainly healthful ingredients but the calorie counts are much higher than you'd assume. The sandwiches aren't stuffed, more like what you'd make at home versus the portion size you'd get in a deli. The sandwiches are yummy. Try the banana, peanut butter, honey & granola flatbread, so good. Price: the smoothies are huge, filling & around $5. The food is a bit over priced for the portion size. read more

Customer service is great and the management stands by his word. They asked what kind of fruit I liked and then recommended the smoothie!

I get the same thing every time, the mango magic with added peaches. I usually do not come to this location but it was good. The service was fast & the place was clean! My smoothie as usual was great!! Oh, unfortunately I found out today the TSC rewards cards are no longer accepted :( That wont stop my love for this place however! read more
