I've never been to one of these before, but while waiting for my son's doctor appointment we definitely needed something to eat/drink and decided just to get smoothies. Best smoothies!! I was dying for a smoothie. I used to be a Jamba Juice fanatic and then I compared ingredients between TSC and Jamba and there was more actual fruit in TSC. Skeptical on taste I went to try it. Did not disappoint!! Made with fruit and ice and no added frozen yogurt or sherbert like jamba. I had them use Splenda which cut calories in half and add whey for a little more filling protein. I can't wait to go back and try other smoothies and healthy food options!! I was eating a chicken wrap- I bit into something super hard- thinking it was a bone I spit my food out. You can imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a sheered off RUSTY screw!!!! Chris drove back to TSC and the "manager" did not know how to do an incident report. He handed me an "employee accident" form (I'm not an employee) and told me to sit down and fill it out.. He chucked my wrap and the screw (good thing we took pictures).. Then he didn't sign or time stamp the form... Love coming to TSC. Always get a beach bum with white chocolate paired with a buffalo chicken wrap. Wrap today was on point. Was sad to hear that they no longer have ruffles baked chips. Always hate going to the bathroom here. It requires using a grimy key and flipflop that everyone touches after using the bathroom, which then gets placed on the serving table... Not very hygienic. This Tropical Smoothie has been around for a bunch of years, and every time I come here I see new faces working at the register. Must be a big turn around rate for employees and I can tell why. I came on a Saturday afternoon around lunchtime and there was a constant busy flow of customers the whole time I was there. I felt bad for the teenage employees because they seemed so understaffed here and were working their butts off to get the food and drinks out and orders taken. It was about a 15 minute wait for my smoothie, and then I had to wait 5 more minutes for my sandwich. The food was very good and I have no complaints about that, just the service itself. It shouldn't take that long for what I ordered, and the ton of people who were waiting all seemed antsy too. They need to have more people working for a weekend rush time like this. Also, my friends smoothie fell on the floor because the table was super shaky, and when he asked for a new one, they offered him a discount on a new one?! Their very good but some of them can be very sugary and calorie laden so you must choose wisely.
