Ordered lunch for my family. 3 sandwiches and one for a very picky eater who HATES mayonnaise. I ordered via the app and everything was done quickly. However when we got home we saw that THE one sandwich had mayo all over it. All the other sandwiches were fine. I called and a very respectful employee named Jon answered the phone. He took accountability and immediately asked to rectify the situation. In this world that is rare and very appreciated. Food is always good and service usually is, except tonight! Ordered three heros each with specific items, each employee apparently has a specific job first hero, meat&cheese, next the toppings and last is cashier. Cashier was asking for money before i was even done with my order, felt hurried, had to ask what total was, since paid with $100 but told me my change and didn't even give me my receipt, which I believe he short changed me if what total he did say, eventually . It boggles my mind how Jersey Mike's has such mediocre reviews!!! My go-to are the #10 tuna sub and the #5 super sub. Both are always amazing and I tend to get the "giant" so they last me for a few meals. I usually get the tuna with extra mayo because I found it can tend to be a little dry otherwise. Going to start off this review by saying I am skeptical of most cookie cutter sandwich chains, but I have to be honest here, this location is really good. My family and I have become huge fans of Jersey Mike's. We have had hot and cold subs and each and every time they've been delicious and made to perfection. After a visit to the Selden location today, all I can say is think twice before coming to this location. When asked a simple question the server behind the counter answered rudely and rolled her eyes as if she could not be bothered to attend to a paying customer. When I asked a follow-up question she again rolled her eyes and refused to answer me. When I asked for her name, she refused to answer me. The manager, Brandon, came out to assist. Upon trying to speak to him, he also refused to give me her name and his as well. I asked for their names because I wanted to make a formal complaint to the company. Then, he threw my sandwich against the wall and said you are not getting anything here and told me to get out. Then they called the police because I would not leave without their names. Unsatisfactory does not begin to define the experience we had with Jersey Mike's Selden location. On Father's Day we ordered 5 sandwiches via the delivery option on the Jersey Mike's app. We only received 4 of the sandwiches we ordered and paid for, and immediately called the Selden location. The individual who identified themselves as the shift manager refused to deliver the sandwich that they had forgotten claiming, "it's out of our hands." No satisfactory alternatives were offered by the Jersey Mike's shift manager. One hundred percent do not recommend. read more

Came and ordered Italian hero and then the guy asked the man behind me what he was getting to eat he was getting 2 heroes with none of the meat that I was getting at all. Food is always fine there but very unorganized. I ordered a large hero (box) and an individual small hero a few days before a party with a set time to pick it up. When my son when to pick it up, they had no clue about it and had to use my paid receipt to make the sandwiches right then. It took them 30 mins and they only gave me the 1 box with the smaller sandwich mixed in the same box - unlabeled. Not the best cheesesteak sandwich, but not the worst either. The meat did not look like steak...it looked like ground beef. The hero roll was fresh and soft. The peppers tasted fresh also, with a nice slight tenderness...not too mushy and not too raw. The cheese sauce was very salty...and I usually like salt, but this was too much. I have been the biggest fan of Jersey Mike's subs since 2018, that's when I first got introduced to this place by a friend. However, it was a different location. fast forward a few years and I've been venturing to this location for about two years now. For the last year coming here has been a nightmare. Several times they've gotten my order incorrect or were lacking a product and did not communicate it until I said something. Most recently when I complained about my order being incorrect, there was such a nonchalant attitude about it. They were unapologetic and even left to the back without a single word. I'm not a loud person or rude and it takes a lot for me to even speak up, so it was disturbing how quick they were to ignore me and there were about 4 employees available and none cared. Following the last visit, I wrote a comment to Jersey Mike's through there App, where it indicated that they would reach out to the store and someone would reach out to me, but I haven't heard anything back since. It's clear that management or the person that oversees this store does not care. I don't experience this at any other location. It's truly sad because this is the most convenient location to visit. I would wholehearted avoid this location, it was not a one time issues, but several over a set period of time. Hopefully they get better, but in the meantime I don't recommend going here.. I know I will not be venturing to this location any time soon. read more

Came here today and got a Meatball sub regular size with a bag of Miss Vickie's Smokehouse BBQ chips and a fountain soda, of which I chose their special root beer. The sub was good, with a good amount of meat and cheese on it, and was a fairly big size. The chips and drink were downright amazing! They have a great selection of chips here. I ordered the BLT medium hero with extra bacon for an additional $2.75. I received the BLT with four slices of bacon so thinly cut where is the extra bacon . I tried to call and it's a non working number (631 538-1983 ) in total the sandwich cost me $14.00 had I known they where going to play me I would have purchased the grocery to make a BLT myself. This was my first time I trying Jersey Mike' s and this will be the last time . It's a shame how these restaurants rip people off with poor quality. The last time I was at a location was over 20 years ago as a member of the Air Force reserves. If I remember correctly, I think it was on the jersey turnpike. The place has a nice vibe and the workers asking trivia questions for free cookies is fun. The subs come in 3 sizes: mini (which is probably 3-4 inches), regular (somewhere around 8-9 inches), and a giant(around 15"). I had the cheesesteak. When I saw the size of the regular I had to unfortunately go up to the giant and try to stomach the fact of paying $14-15 for one hero. The taste was very good but the pricing is completely out of whack in today's economy. The regular was around $8.50 but a little too small for probably most with an adult appetite. If this was a footlong like Subway, this would easily be a 4.5 but for the price, it's a 3. read more

Needless to say, the sandwiches were all overpriced and nowhere in comparison to what the photos showed of what you were suppose to be getting. I purchased the giant italian sub for my husband as the regular was too small for what would be considered a full size hero. The giant ended up being 2/3 shredded lettuce and barely any meat and cheese for over $14.00!!! They should be ashamed of themselves for making a product so inferior. I will continue to go to the best place for a hero sandwich that gives you 4 times the amount of meat & cheese for $8-9.00 for a footlong sub. We actually order from Jersey Mike's pretty frequently in my house and we use this location. I'm always very pleased with how our sandwiches are made and that they're always made on time when I order from the app (and I order this way a lot). Your order can become pricey (depending on the size of the sandwich and any add ons you might include), but I'm alright with paying a little bit more because their sandwiches are delicious. Horrible. Worst food and service I have ever experienced!! My steak sandwich was raw and bloody. When I went back in to return it I was given an attitude. I then was given a receipt showing the refund amount for the whole combo since I returned the chips and everything. Later looking at my bank account I see they changed the refund amount and only refunded me the sandwich. When I called I was given a stupid response by the owner who acts like a child and is not able to handle customer satisfaction properly. Tremendously delicious. I go there weekly and find the bread softer than any sub competition. Cold cuts are the tastiest and service is outstanding. Each employee I have interacted with has gone above and beyond to make it an enjoyable visit for me. There are different sizes, I prefer the Giant (largest).
