Manager was not available and when I called the next day he didn't seem to care. Newly remodeled IHOP Oviedo is Open for biz! For years this IHOP sat tucked quietly in the Alafaya Woods Publix shopping center with dated decor, but great food and service. Now they have moved to the corner space with modern furnishings and same great staff and food. Love the carafe of fresh hot coffee that stays at our table. The omelettes are ginormous! Glad to have this location in our community. Keep up the solid work and service and we'll be back. read more

This was our first time at the new location and it is fantastic! My biggest gripe at the old location was that the gym rats next door always filled ALL of the parking spaces within convenient distance - including the HANDICAPPED ones! I would have to sit in the parking lot waiting for one of them to finish she their workout and leave so I could get a handicapped spot! The new decor is really sharp and attractive. They did an exceptional job on both design and execution. The meeting room is unbelievable! A built-in screen and projector make it amazing! And the food is as good or better than ever! We are regulars here and was excited to see the new location (down a couple doors in the same plaza) We were VERY disappointed in the lack of the quality service and food it used to have. Not sure if it's due to hiring on new staff or more inexperienced staff but wow was it such a difference. My parents visited twice this week. The first time, mom got the Swedish crepes and not only were they cold, they were tough, rubbery, and just overall unpleasant. Second visit, dad got the smokehouse combo. Everyone's food arrived except his. The waitress came and told us 5 minutes max and it'll be out. No problem. She first brought out the eggs and sausage and said the pancakes would be another minute along with the hash browns. Then she brings the hash browns and 5 mins later the pancakes came. Not saying it was the servers fault but the kitchen obviously lacked the ability to make the food necessary to be served together. The restaurant wasn't even that full. The new location is nice and there's definitely more room but it seems the quality of service was sacrificed a little. Quite disappointed. If we do go back, I hope it gets addressed and fixed. read more

This IHOP is unlike any IHOP I have ever been to. The whole staff makes you feel like you are family which adds to the pleasant dining experience. Our server was friendly and knowledgable of the menu. When I told her I wanted something light, she directed me to the healthy section of the menu. I ordered an omelette. It had spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes (all fresh) with a side of fresh fruit. It was delicious. My son had the steak tips and cinnamon pancakes. I had some of his pancakes and they were tastier than a cinnamon roll! He likes his hash browns cooked well done and they came out brown and crispy, just like he asked! I highly recommend that you try this IHOP. The seating is also very comfortable- they mostly have booths. They have a backroom with all tables but they only open that for big parties or on the weekend. Best IHOP around! read more

Welllllllllllllllll........... hmm. Service was slow. It seemed that the waitress had 635312 tables to wait because she was kinda all over the placed and frazzled the whole time. It took a while to get our drink orders in...took a while to get our drinks..then it took a while to get our food orders in. (We tried to put our food orders in when the drinks came but she just turned and left..okay.) I had ordered the "simply fit grilled chicken sandwhich". I am on Weight Watchers so this obviously was one of the very few items they have there that wasn't going to break me. Grilled chicken sandwhich with a side of fruit, perfect. She brought out the bowl of fruit quickly, like an appetizer or something. Then my sandwhich came out coated in provalone cheese with a big side of fries. ..........okay. It took every bit I had to put those fries on a seperate plate and let them just sit next to me taunting me "eat me! eat me!". Now, the chicken sandwhich itself was very good, chicken was cooked great and not dried out, I was impressed. Avoid this place if its busy. Like on a weekend because they will serve you crap after making you wait an hour for it. Then after waiting they serve you food that should not have even left the kitchen. The toast was charcoal black, the bacon was not cooked crisp (like rubber), and the eggs were cold and runny. We both tried to eat our meals because waited over an hour and we were hungry but gave up. The server offered to have it remade, but we did 't want to waste another 45 minutes if they couldn't even get something as basic as eggs and toast right. We told our server we just wanted our check so we can leave bases we were disgusted. Then the smart ass manager stops over and tells me that I ordered my eggs wrong and they are supposed to be runny. I don't regularly write reviews but when the management is dismissive of your feedback you have to vent someplace and yelp is where you go to do it. We just started going to this location over the last six months or so because the iHop by UCF has horrible service. We have been here multiple times in the past when it was not busy (dinner time) and the food good and so was the service. So that is what brought us back. However, This was the second time visiting this location in the morning when it was busy and both times the food was lacking and the service was clueless. If they are busy then they don't value you as a customer and expect you to take whatever comes out of the kitchen. Not sure if we want to go back ever again. read more

I stopped by IHOP for their 57th anniversary special which was $.57 for a short stack of pancakes. I also ordered the pot of coffee. Such a great, cheap meal. I ALMOST ordered bacon to go with my pancakes but I'm glad I didn't - the short stack was more than filling. The service at this Oviedo location is on point. The hostess was friendly and even complimented the shirt I was wearing. The server was funny and checked up on me often but not enough to be annoying. Looks like they recently renovated. Very clean. Intimate, warm and fresh looking. Our server was very nice. They've also updated the menu since I was last at an IHOP, and have some cool new items such as Jelly Donut pancakes and a "Spicy Tom" which consists of spicy tomato juice, lime, and a strip of hickory bacon. If you're in the mood for diner food, why not? It's hot and tasty. I usually give IHOP a big thumbs up, and this location is no different. read more

Everyone, I'm very big on reviews and customer service and when I went online to view the reviews for this IHOP on Alafaya vs. the one on University Blvd, I was extremely impressed so I decided to take my family there. We were greeted so nicely and the service from the time we walked into the restaurant until the time we left, we were given 5-star treatment from the door by an "AMAZING" young man name David! The Manager Joe was also A++!!! Just amazing customer service! "ASK FOR DAVID & tell him you saw this review from the mom he served on Sunday, January 6th from Miami! I had the pleasure of taking my kids this past weekend & it wasSUPER bc of David! Thank you so much David! You were AMAZING!!! Absolutely 5 stars!! Hands down the best service in a restaurant I've had. I have a service dog and not all establishments are nearly as accommodating as this one. I wish they were. We made a courtesy call ahead to let them know that we would be accompanied by a service animal. The woman on the phone was incredibly polite and pleasant to speak to. When we arrived, we were graciously greeted by the location manager who sat us at a table in a quiet and spacious location to accommodate for our service animal. Our servers and the restaurant staff were not invasive at all. They checked on us frequently to ask if we were okay and spoke to us instead of our dog, our server was so nice. They helped us clean the floor area around us so my service dog had a clean place to sit. Truly a pleasant and refreshing experience. Too often we are seated somewhere or staff challenges our right to dine with a service animal. I didn't feel isolated or abnormal. We were regular guests! I can't thank the staff of this IHOP enough for their gracious service, professionalism, and accommodation. I would certainly recommend this location. read more

I can't help it, I know foodies will bash it, but I just love some good ol' IHOP sometimes. It's sort of like Cracker Barrel: It ain't gourmet, but it gets the job done and makes you feel warm and cozy inside. This location has always had very nice servers who all work together well. The bottomless carafe of coffee is always hot and fresh. I get the same darn thing every time and, therefore, can only really speak on the breakfast items. I love their pancakes! So fluffy and buttery and the various specialty pancakes are always fun. When my husband and I don't want to cook or just want something simple, we always go back to IHOP. This locale doesn't seem to be terribly busy, unless it is a Sunday morning, so service and food is quick and efficient. It's just good, cheap eats. read more

My family and I stopped in at 2:15. I figured that, even though it is not a fast food place that it should not take that long (I mean it is only eggs and pancakes). Well at 2:45 we still had not gotten anything. The waitress said that it would be delayed because they were restocking the kitchen. Really? In the middle of the day you restock? Couldn't you do that after you close? Or couldn't you have a few things ready to go? I mean we were the ONLY people in the whole place. Well we had to take it to go because my lunch is only an hour. The sad thing is that the people here are wonderful, very nice to deal with. I wish they would have told us when we got there that they were doing a restocking so we could have either gone elsewhere or made it to go right from the start. And to top it off they gave the smallest portions I have ever seen, maybe it was because it was to go or maybe they were mad we interrupted their restocking. To start, nobody who worked last night smiled, and they all spoke in monotone. If our waitress made a mistake, she kept repeating, "My bad." The drink orders came out fine, but we were never offered any refills. We did receive refills (long) after we asked. I was never asked how I would like my eggs, they just came out scrambled. I hate scrambled eggs. She handed us extremely hot plates that nearly burnt my hands, thank goodness my children didn't touch them. One server serioysly got on his cellphone and started having a full on conversation with his friend right next to us. I've been to several IHOP restaurants, and have encountered a despicably horrible experience with customer service, intolerable attitude, waiting time and food, especially on 02-12-2017 in Humble, Texas. For lack of better words I cannot begin to describe such experiences. However, If anybody wants to dine in and find peace of mind I strongly recommend this location. The food is inconsistent I found a bunch of hairs in my egg although the food is meter ocher it's not the best place to eat. The staff was nice but we should of got a discount on the hair in the eggs. I have been going to this IHOP with my wife and family for more or less 10 years. However more recently, the past month or so there has been a dramatic drop in service and quality. My last several meals have been warm or even cold when served. The service has been at best sporadic. I am not sure what has happened here but I can not say I would recommend it to anyone anymore.
