Long wait, slow service (not as bad as the 1st time, but still long), overcooked food, waitress just gave up on things like bringing the table water. The gm of this restaurant waved me off when I was trying to talk to her about my job application. She had told me that I had gotten the job. But when I had went in she had proceeded to ignore me. And tell me to get out. She then continued to talk in Spanish to my girlfriend knowing that I don't know Spanish. The service here is legit T R A S H. First of all, there was no one at the front cashier half the time. I literally saw a couple leave without paying. Second, train your staff better. The credit card machine stopped working and the girl made me drive to chase. When i came back, the whole computer system shut down, the register wouldn't open and she didn't know what to do. When I called in for PICK UP- the lady answered and said "yes can you give me a few minutes? Thanks" and put me on hold without letting me answer. When I arrived- as I've ordered from there before (2 additional times - both times I was given rude attitude and they messed up our order everytime) I've ordered from the IHOP on Vanowen & they are very friendly and get the order right every time & I've had no issues. Northridge IHOP - I'll never return to them again. When I arrived @ they both said "oh we just received your order 8 minutes ago - you need to give us more time" and walked away. There were 3 additional people who came in and said they were waiting more than 40 minutes. The excuse was "oh sorry we are packed full right now and it's taking longer than expected - the seating only had 10 tables max & 3-5 of them were actually occupied .... full my ass ! And they had a full kitchen staff too!!! When I got my food I asked about the Nutella - at the Vanowen location they give you a pretty good size cup of Nutella - at Northridge ... they gave me the smallest amount possible & said well if you want another we have to charge you $1.50 and I've already charged you $1.50 for the one I gave you. When my "Sampler" arrived, everything was cold and the sausages were undercooked. Bacon didn't look like bacon and a side of toast was $4.00 extra? That's $2.00 per slice!!! WTF? He offered 20% off our bill. Still came to 27.07. Gave him 30.10. Change of 3.03. They're running a scam there. Upon entrance to our go-to IHOP location, on a Saturday morning it was PACKED! But nevertheless, the wait time was only 20-25 minutes and we were able to get a seat pretty quickly. I went with my family and we had many requests from the waitress and even rushed her since we had to go. I've been here twice. The first time I came here, it was my first time at an ihop. I go to Denny's a lot so I saw food that I normally eat so I ordered it. Everything was undercooked and lukewarm. I honestly thought I was going to have food poisoning, but I didn't, luckily. So we went here again today, and it is my second time at an Ihop. A few friends and I were wondering if it's either this ihop that's bad, or the chain. They were trying to raise my hopes so I gave it another chance to try it again. When I got my eggs, sausage and hash browns, the only thing I enjoyed were the sausages, and they were almost cold. The hash browns, which were second best, came out as perfect cube, which made me think the just took them out of a freezer and into a pan with oil, but they were also near to being cold. The scrambled eggs cake out undercooked and cold as well. Not sure if it's just this place but never eating here again. Nice water though. read more

The manager waited on us and he was so friendly. He even gave us a free dessert to enjoy. He had a great attitude about his job and serving customers. After reading all the negative reviews on Yelp for this iHop location, we were worried about our decision to eat there last night. Our server, Mercedes, was wonderful. Our food arrived quickly and hot! We wanted breakfast for dinner and what better place to go than iHop. We were pleasantly surprised. Restaurant was clean and the entire staff was gracious and welcoming. We will definitely go there again. Only downside - I ate too much! My waffle combo was so good! read more
