Stopped at this location for breakfast while on our way to Wenatchee. Great spot right after the intersection of 522 and US-2. Though it was a busy morning, found a parking near the Starbucks drive-thru. A nice and cozy place inside, no trouble finding a table. The coffee was served right after we were seated. Plenty of seasonal options on the menu - but we chose - Strawberry Banana French toast, Strawberry cheesecake waffle, Veggie omelette with hash browns on the side and chicken & waffles with iHop sauce. The food arrived really quick. The difference I noted here was - there were no sauces on the table. It was served along with the food. Cost cutting? who knows. But they made sure we have enough and refilled when needed. Aubrey was our server that day - very sweet and super hekpful! Overall a great experience. Went there last night to get the breakfast sampler. I opened the second set of doors and I was greeted with a wall of stench. I have smelled this before in restaurants when their plumbing is backed up and they haven't taken care of it. Mind you I have never had that issue at this store but now I have. I informed the waitress of the smell and it seems that they started looking into it because others could smell it as well. Frankly, I'm not sure how they're keeping that kitchen sanitary and people aren't getting sick if they are not able to wash things properly because of the back up. As for the food - the bacon was burnt to a crisp and somehow the guy cooking things got the outside of the hashbrowns crunchy but the inside pretty much mush that was warm at best. The iced tea there this time was OK. The last three times I have gone prior I tried the iced tea and it tasted stale - like really stale. I'm not sure how well they're going to do with Wendy's moving in because now I can get food cheaper and quicker and they're open late. I hope that they fix the sewage issue before it becomes a health department issue. Frankly, I think the health department should pay them a visit. read more

3 stars = could've been better. It's an IHOP. It's okay, but definitely has always been in that "could've been better" category. IHOP's food has always looked great and tasted meh bland. Same at this new location. It's brand new, so it's still clean. I noticed several areas where things were already starting to show wear, so we'll see how long the newness lasts. Food is meh. Frankly, the food at most Denny's is better (and Denny's is in that same meh category as IHOP). Just don't expect much, and you won't be disappointed. read more

went for the first time during thanksgiving* super sweet staff ! super welcoming & always greeting everyone with a smile no matter how busy, & they work quick! the place is a little small, but it's nice clean & pretty for a chain restaraunt diner. the inside smells good of the mix of coffee & food, the winning smell of pancakes & coffee. they're constantly having promotional & seasonal items, so it's always interesting to see whom they partnered with - this time it was indiana jones - or they're pancake of the month ! (maple bacon was novembers if you were curious) on thanksgiving, me & my family didn't have plans so we hopped in for a quick bite & saw they were doing a small desert & dinner promotional for the holiday. we skipped the turkey dinner meal & had some desert, seeming that a few of us had dinner beforehand; we each got one of the desert items & shared amongst one another. - chocolate cake with chocolate mouse & chocolate chips ; my sibling was a major fan of this, i only cared for the frosting that was surprisingly rich! - pumpkin pie with whipped cream ; my parent said that this was very good, a hearty traditional thanksgiving desert - brownie sundae ; the brownie was very good with chocolate chips, could have done without what seemed like hershey chocolate sauce. the whipped cream was good, & the vanilla ice cream was just normal ice cream, that my family shared with each other despite the busy holiday rush, the staff was very kind & compassionate & we made sure to extra thank them for working on such a busy holiday, & taking their time to do so :) read more

What really made our dining experience top notch was our sever was leisi C she was friendly, nice and attentive, always making sure that we had refills and our food was good, but not checking in so much that we felt smothered. I know this is a brand new location, so I know the workers here may be totally new to the service industry. And maybe this opening day was part of a dry run. So I'll just disclose some observations to help this location improve: - The place seemed over staffed. So there was no excuse that it severely under-performed. in our case the food didn't arrive until a little shy of an hour wait. And even then the simple bacon and eggs order didn't come out right. - My grilled chicken sandwich eventually arrived, but was eventually offered to be on the house and to be wrapped up to take home. But then after several minutes the waiter, when we asked again about it, said it got lost. - The water served to us tasted very strange. Beware the water. There will not be another opportunity to visit this location because our first experience was not that great (think Kitchen Nightmares). However I do wish the management and staff quickly grows and adapts. This IHOP has a great location and therefore superb potential. In summary, that kitchen needs help in the form of leadership and experience. Ultimately its all up to the management. read more

Ordered at our local iHop through DoorDash for pick up. Our food was accurate and on time. Staff were very friendly upon arrival and greeted me with a smile. All very pleasant. It is super easy to drive to it. Unless you get stuck when the train passes through like it happened to us. It is frustrating when you are just yards from it. Anyway, we parked pretty fast afterwards. I guess it could be different in a weekend. We were sat on the other side of the entrance. At the end only 3 tables were used on that part. Stopped on Sunday July 20th for a full breakfast and found a great spot in the IHOP in Monroe. The restaurant was clean outside and inside, the staff was friendly and worked efficiently. Have been at Monroe IHop twice since it re-emerged from the old Denny's. Burgers and Fries are Excellent. Recently had the Turkey Melt Hot Sandwhich - REAL turkey breast (not sliced deli meat) and melts in your mouth. Tables were clean. Staff was friendly - Tall dark haired/bearded young man very courteous and checked on our table a few times. Best thing is that you can order Breakfast and time of the day. The one thing that somehow was fouled up was we waited longer than we should have for a table . We noticed people who came in after us were being seated. Was excited to try out the newly redeveloped IHOP in Monroe, but unfortunately was left disappointed. I'm aware that they're still in transition and there is a learning curve in place so hopefully this review can be used as part of that training. Went in and ordered pancakes, eggs and sausage with my son. He got a strawberry rooty tooty and I went with the lemon ricotta mixed berry. I ordered coffee and he got apple juice (neither one of us were offered or given water during the entire duration of our meal). I did inform our server that we need to get a to-go out at the end of our meal and she noted the Colorado omelette with a side of pancakes for later request. So off the bat, these pancakes have gotten significantly smaller, there's only one syrup on the table (old fashioned) and if you request a different flavor syrup, they bring it out in a small plastic cup (1) instead of the traditional pour containers. My son enjoyed his food, strawberry pancakes were consumed fairly quickly. My lemon ricotta mixed berry was not as good - for twice the cost of his, I should have went with blueberry option because that ricotta creme was super grainy. I was hungry but it was a tough swallow. In the middle of our meal, they brought out the to-go order and had me take care of the check at the table (with our server waiting) which is never ideal when we're still eating. As I finished and went to leave, looked in the bag and saw there were no pancakes. Asked for those and then went on my way. Once we got home (30 minutes later)...I see the Colorado omelette order has mushrooms, tomatoes and what looks like chicken and some kind of beef (not shredded beef like it was supposed to be) and I've ordered this for my husband for many years - what the heck did they make for him, lol? Whatever it was - it was not a Colorado omelette and he didn't eat it. So I recommend the staff use this review info on things to work on and maybe we will try this place again someday. read more

I will acknowledge that this review is unfair because I visited the Monroe IHOP a week ago and had a great egg white pesto omelet. However, my omelet today was inedible. The egg whites were undercooked so instead of light and fluffy the omelet was flat and runny. There were no discernible vegetables in it. The mushrooms were burnt and the avocado slices were small and dry. This inedible mess looked like something my cat would cough up and served on a plate. I imagine the problem was the difference in cooks. The one who made my omelet a week ago knew his craft. The one who made my omelet today should not be serving food. Restaurant seems to have hit its stride after some early teething pains. We just had Brunch/Lunch and everything was great. Food was up to the usual IHop standards, which I know what I'm getting, and everything was prepared perfectly. Maria, our server, was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Poblano Benedict with soft poached eggs, it came quickly and as requested. My wife had a grilled chicken salad. Chicken was fresh and flavorful. We both enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. We're local to Monroe and like to support our local businesses. read more

I have never left a restaurant so disappointed. Once we were seated and received water from the hostess, we waited over 20 minutes before a server even walked in our direction. As for the ambiance, it was non-existent. The "ambiance" was loud and chaotic. We were seated close to the expo/kitchen area. The individuals running that area were obnoxious to one another. I could barely have conversation over the incessant clamor coming from expos and chef members. It was most unpleasant. My food was so cold it tasted like it came straight out of the refrigerator. Such a waste. Unfortunately I will never regain the time and money I squandered at this establishment. At least our server was nice and she genuinely seemed to try. She was the only reason I left a tip. As we left, there were several empty booths and a mass of families awaiting a similar experience. I wish I could have warned them to dine somewhere else and save themselves from the impending awful dining experience of which they would imminently suffer. So it's been 5 days since opening and we went in early because we have seen they have been very busy and no parking available over the last 4 days. I understand a new place has issues but you should not be out of any item or food. We were seated quickly at 7:00AM. we order coffee and black tea. waitress came back and said they were out of black tea...we asked for other types of teas and were told all they had was ICE tea. I ordered wheat toast and never received it. im hoping they get better BUT. there is a Fred Meyers across the street..... go buy some tea and anything else you are out of until you get property restocked. We decided to go here for breakfast on Easter. It was packed. The wait was about 25-30 mins so not too bad. The food was typical I hope food but our waitress was awesome. Jolee went above and beyond to make sure our order was right and fulfill my husband's special dietary needs. She truly is exceptional. We went when it first opened and we're not impressed! Kids wanted to try again today. It was awful. Eggs under cooked the bacon eggs Benedict was nasty I think if they tried it themselves they would take it off the menu. Kids did not like any of it. The service was far from impressive. The best part was someone came and cleared all the plates of runny grossness before we had to pay. Super disappointed we could have had something better in this space. read more

Why is it that IHOP has such a problem serving the food hot. The little pots of coffee are nice but can anyone tell me that theirs was ever refilled while being served? This is why I usually just ask for water. They are more then willing to top off the free water but the coffee that you pay for is a different story. read more

We expected a longer wait and they definitely let us know the wait would be long. We came in with kids so we also prepared for fussy wiggly kids. We were thankful they put us in a booth in the back so we wouldn't disturb too many people. Unfortunately, the waitress was slow, and did not listen to our requests very well. We asked her not to bring something for our kids and she did anyways and we asked her to take it away it was too late and our kid threw a fit. After taking her outside as not to disturb more people, we came back in when the food was delivered. My husband's eggs and toast were incorrect and cold! My eggs and pancakes were cold as well! Why the hell are people talking crap about this place?! I loved it here!! Sure, the service was slow, but I understand that. It just opened so it would be really popular pretty quickly. All our waiters and servers were very friendly and nice! One exception however is when I ordered root beer, I was given Pepsi instead and had to correct the mistake to the waiter. The food was good though it took longer then I would think for it to come out. The service though wasn't great, our drinks were never refilled and we had to ask for water instead of being offered. We will try again in a month because we love IHOP and hope they get all the bugs out. The Ambiance was fine for us because we were in the far corner booth. My husband and I decided to enjoy some time and have a nice dinner together and was surprised IHOP had many parking spots open, we decided to stop in and fill the tummy's. Our first impression was delightful we ordered and we also ordered the cinnamon Dippers to be delivered first (Had a sweet tooth). We got our food my husbands seafood platter was nice and hot, my turkey, was warm and my mashed potatoes was warm at the edge and cold in the middle.. so I informed the waiter Mathew and he asked what do you want me to do about it. He offered to reorder another meal or he offered to put in microwave, I decided microwave would be fast.. which it was. We finished our meal and the cinnamon dippers still didn't show up. We waited about 20 minutes and the waiter never came back so we decided to go pay for dinner and leave. Got to the check out and the waiter was very rude, I told him we never got the cinnamon dippers and he said He had never added it to our order. My husband made a small remark "that figures" and the waiter went off on me with glaring eyes like I had said it... he added the remark your still paying for the food.. I had no intention of not paying for our order. I then asked for the manager had to repeat twice. Finally the manager came and I told him his waiter was being extremely rude, the waiter took the lead and rolling his eyes and explained the situation in his view and said he was busy! The manager excused him and said, "I gotcha" and the waiter walked away while I continued to pay for my order the manager said to me "I gotcha" and we left.. I will not be back to be treated so bad. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Monroe ihop right now which is understandable, we are new and have slow service right now but that is because there's 4 out of 60 of us that have actually worked in the restaurant industry or service of any kind. Ihop did not put any of us up to posting anything on here, I think I might be the only one who works there that's even made a post but it makes me sad reading some of the reviews with people expecting everything to be perfect right when the doors opended January 23rd. Ihops are all privately owned and they all try their best which of course there's going to be hiccups with a brand new place with all literally new and learning servers, cooks, host and so on and for many working here this is a first job ever. I just hope everyone gives this place a chance and understands that we are trying and we are all learning and terrified at the same time so to bare with us. This is me posting on behalf of myself and the place that has been so nice to me since I started with amazing staff and I just want everyone to know we are trying and we are still just people with families and lives at the end of the day. read more
