We decided to try out IHOP for dinner before going to the fair and wow we were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted right away and sat. The restaurant is a tad dated but clean and that's what matters. A minute later our waiter came and took our drink orders and returned shortly with our drinks and took our orders. My wife ordered some soup which she really enjoyed but took almost 10 minutes to get. She also ordered the steak tip which were really tast and tender with lots of onions! I got the classic burger with bacon and onion rings. The burger was cooked so perfectly, had a good amount of bacon and the onion rings were amazing! All in all it was a really good experience and we'll definitely be back! read more

This place used to be the spot to go. More like cafeteria food now. It's gone down hill. Last time I took the kids, the booth we were at smelled like urine. We asked to be moved and by that time we had lost our appetites so we went ahead and left. The lady and man that were working our section were a couple that we see all around town riding bikes and holding signs on the street corners asking for help. I'm pretty sure they used the bathroom mop to mop up the section we were in. That's just unsanitary. I don't plan on going back again. read more

One of the excellent IHOP till date . Shop #1474 is highly recommended. It was full on a Thursday morning!!!! WIth people beaming, the hostesses happy at 9:30am serving, wait of this, fresh and not burnt coffee! We had seconds and thirds for the first time. The pancakes were awesomely fluffy and the omlette was choicefully delicious with servings of avocado and the toast was awesome and crisp. Buttery and yummy for those conossieurs with a palette that satisfies. The hot chocolate was well done. The servie was timely and the rate was very reasonable for the extent of freshness that we got in the fruits and vegetables. The hashbrowns were crisp and savory. Highly recommend this as a stopver for your roadtrips!!!! read more

My family cannot say anything nicer about the service we get from Ms. Julia. From the very first time she provided service to me, my youngest son and three grandbabies she has been past outstanding! No matter if we are in her section or not she takes the time to come hug the kiddos and check on them and treat them like family! they ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!!! We all do!! Service is always slow, but staff is generally nice. Food is good, especially for the price. The actual restaurant is clean and comfortable, its a nice place to stop for breakfast or a late night snack, but i wouldn't recommend for any sort of special occasion. read more

I read IHOP has gluten free so my husband and I tried it and we were so happy we did. We both had the waffle breakfast with eggs, bacon/sausage, split a hash brown and the delicious gluten free waffle. The service was great and everyone had a smile. Great experience at IHOP! read more

Found hair in food. Waitress never even said sorry. Then while drinking my coffee found nasty old crusted rice looking substance. This place is not clean, and will not rectify the situation. They even charged me for the contaminated cup of coffee. So if you want hair in your food and dirty coffee cups they will give you a 6% discount which was a senior citizens discount but still charged me for the dirty coffee Will never eat here again..... read more

Unremarkable. IHOP, so what? Decent appetizers, but that's about it and nothing you can't get anywhere else. Unoriginal, uninspired, and overpriced. Do I like it? I guess, I mean I could have gotten a sausage biscuit from McDonald's cheaper, quicker, and it would have tasted as good. The service is hit-or-miss. Haven't been drug here in a while, so that's a big plus. If I have it my way I won't ever go back, here or the one in Nacogdoches. I can find better places to spend my lunch money. read more

This was our 1st time back in a very long time as we are passing through from Houston Texas ... We ordered a cheddar cheese omelette with extra cheese.. What a joke. There was barely any cheese. Pancakes were ice cold and we did send those back to get heated up or redone. The server never did come and ask how everything was. Maybe because it's a smaller town they prepare omelettes different than in Houston. I don't recommend this restaurant. read more

Very good IHOP. We had the combo with eggs, bacon and hash brown's and all you can eat pancakes, that's running as an add on special, going on now, at no extra charge. Or you can get just all you can eat pancakes for $4.99. We couldn't hold anymore than the original order. Nice portions. Great wait staff, greeter and checkout lady. read more

The prices are a bit steep but honestly, it's worth it. The food always comes out at the perfect temp and tastes delicious plus the entire staff is very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to satisfy you. I've never had an issue here and recommend it to anyone traveling through at any time of the day. read more

Breakfast joints are my jam. I've roadtriped from Ontario (Canada), to Houston, then over to Miami FL hitting up multiple IHOP's, Denny's, and the Waffle House's on my way. This is THE BEST IHOP, and breakfast place I've ever been to! Food is always cooked to perfection (crispy bacon and hash browns, runny eggs). To top it off, they have the best customer service I've ever experienced, EVER. I love this place. read more

This place was great! We were traveling from Chicago for the ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston... 3 buses totaling 150 people. Our fabulous bus drivers were 2 hours ahead of schedule at the last rest stop, so I quickly checked to see what breakfast spots would be open at 6am for 150 people. When staff member Ruiz answered the phone and assured me that there was room for us, and even called us back an hour later to confirm our arrival time, I was so impressed. When we arrived, he greeted us and set a whole section aside for our group. The entire staff and store manager was kind, courteous, and quick to take our orders, and the food turn around was pretty fast, too. We were in and out within an hour and a half, and that includes everyone using the clean restrooms, too! Grateful for this IHOP crew, and for feeding and caring for us so well!! The food was really good. Got the International Omelette though next time I'll ask for the salsa on the side (bit too much). As it is IHOP you would hope the pancakes would be wonderful and they were. Had to fight my boyfriend off of my stack. The only reason I give a four was because the place was hardly busy and yet the waiters stood around socializing more than waiting on you. All in all a good experience. read more

I have not been back! OK so first things first. My husband orders a steak and it looks great until we notice a pubic hair on it. Guess what? It wasn't his own hair yikes. So then we send that bad boy back and wait for a new hairless steak. I start watching the cooking staff and waitresses because I was sitting in a booth close enough to see in the kitchen. One cook picks his nose, the another starts scratching his head, no worries right because they have on gloves. Yep they do but both guys used the gloved hands to handle business. We are already in the process of asking for a check just for the drinks though no way I'm paying for that food, when the lady in front of us says her fries are cold. The waitress takes them back and tells the cooks. When the fries pop back up in sight the waitress takes her un-gloved hand and lays it flat on the top of the fries and says, no good send them back, seconds later they pop up again and same thing happens but followed by that will do this time. She wipes her now warm greasy hand on her already dirty butt and brings the unsuspecting victim her ass fries. We finally left never to return. The only reason they even are allowed one star is the fact that the restaurant itself was clean and the staff was friendly. I just don't like "extras" with my meal..... use caution when entering. read more
