The menu has really gone down hill. the chicken sandwich was terrible. It fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The french fries could have broken a tooth they were so hard and dry. The prices are ridiculous. Wouldn't have gone there but I had gift cards I needed to use. Won't be back unless menu improves. Was finally seated after standing at the desk for 20 minutes. read more

Got a chicken sandwich and fries when the food came out there was not 1 but 2 black strands of hair. Stuff happens but the problem I have is the kitchen staff loudly talking and making jokes and fun about the hair in my food that I almost ate. Didn't get a discount or anything but laughs about the situation. That is disgusting and not at all funny. Didn't take a picture cause i immediately called the waitress back to take it back. Hesitate because of reviews. We had no issues. The wait staff was doing her best to serve everyone. Our order was spot on , fresh, hot and visually appetizing. We got to sit where we requested. We ate here today during the lunch rush. We knew we were going to have to wait a little bit but expected that. We were seated right away and drinks came quickly. Even the food came fairly quickly for how busy it was, but it wasn't hot. It was barely warm. We observed other tables sending back their food for the same reason. If we return we'll have to avoid busy times in the hope that the food is served hot. read more

We were starving and glad this IHOP was across the street from our hotel. There wasn't anyone at the front "desk" but a voice said "welcome and we'll be with you." So we waited, and waited...and waited. They took a big order out, then smaller plates of jams, etc. And we still waited...eventually they were discussing their lives so we decided to leave. We had a family reunion in Lindale this weekend . We Walked in with a family of 16 , Only waited a few minutes . The girls were writing names down with a crayon cause no one had a pen so We gave them a pen to write with . We can see them ALL working hard to get everyone seats and bringing food out . We all sat together, we ordered our waitress name tag said " ROCK STAR " . Let me tell you she was a ROCK STAR !!! She Gathered all ordered , delivered every plate correctly and was just awesome the entire visit ! We left a good tip but wanted to leave her a compliment as well ! Good job read more

They are very good and very efficient the hostess helps out the waitresses they clean the tables and the food was warm hot coffee was good we kept our coffee cup filled it's a very good IHOP and I hope they keep it open!I recommend this IHOP to everyone! read more

Agree with Angelo... food terrible and sending it back is risky in case cook gets upset and does stuff to your food... service wonderful too bad selling crap.. I got a side salad with cheese icebergs lettuce with the end of lettuce root as my first bite. My husband ordered cinamon crapes, but they sent out horrible fruit and sour (rotten?) filling.... horrible.. I got senior turkey.. sort of bad tasting but I am diabetic afraid to send back.. had sugar low and had to eat. I hope it wasn't spoiled.. shaking my head server must have a lot going back because she was apologizing ahead of time concerning food issues... my husband got waffles an over cooked chicken... he is diabetic and we can't wait for kitchen to get things right... we are waiting for service/cook turnover before coming back. . Service was extremely slow for Saturday morning. Plenty of wait staff. Had to wait many minutes before we were even asked if we wanted coffee. Once we ordered our food we waited a very long time. Never have waited that long at an IHOP. Food comes out and my husband's pancakes were cold! Couldn't even melt the butter. We will not be back to this IHOP. read more

Had a bad experience at this particular IHOP. All three of us ordered one of their specialty pancakes. We were shocked when they were delivered to the table. They were so very tiny. i cannot eat a lot of pancake, but was able to eat two of these due to their size and was still hungry. We decided to ask to speak to the manager on duty. When she came to the table, we were very quiet in discussing our displeasure. All she kept saying was that she was sorry. After many times of saying this, I finally told her that wasn't sufficient. The pancakes didn't look anything like the picture they advertised. Finally, she said she would take care of the bill, which was exactly what she should have done at the very beginning. We plan to visit another IHOP and order the exact same thing to see what size their pancakes are. read more

My wife and I decided to do breakfast tonight for dinner. It was more like attending a comedy club. We were actually looking for the cameras, it surely was a joke. We waited for over thirty minutes waiting for our meal. We heard several complaints from tables nearby about their food was cold. One patron asked a waitress how in the world were they cooking their pancakes. We finally received our food. My wife ordered eggs over easy. I wish you could have seen her face she stuck her fork in the eggs and they literally bounced off her plate. She told the waitress wait a minute and she kept walking off till we both hollered at her to wait. She ask my wife if there was something wrong with her eggs. My wife picks her egg up and shook it up and down like a strip of rubber. The rest of our meal was cold, as others had complained about. The pancakes were like foam rubber and I was able to stick my fork and spoon straight up in them. She then comes back with the cheque and ask how our meal was. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! read more

For a weary traveler, this IHOP was an overall pleasant experience. The interior looked fresh and modern, while my group all agreed that the food was quite good. The red velvet pancakes were wonderful, as was the coffee which was a welcome sight early in the morning. The only problems might be service, as some of the wait staff seemed to be a bit busy and so the initial ordering was a bit slow. Yet, once our orders were put in, we were able to get our food out relatively quickly. Our waiter seemed a bit tired, but quite attentive to our needs and friendly. PROS: - It's IHOP; it's that generic, yet reliable and tasty chain-restaurant food that's still pleasing to taste and experience. - The dining area is clean, well-maintained, and very modern. The building seems like it was recently built, and it definitely shows in a good way. CONS: - Slightly slow wait staff, but generally attentive and friendly. read more

This star is for Michelle, only. Whilst we didn't stay here long, Michelle was the only positive part of our experience. My mother ordered 4 slices of bacon instead of 2/2 bacon and sausage. She got the latter. The Pepsi she ordered tasted terrible, as well. The hot chocolate that my son and I had was wayyy too rich. It was almost so thick that you couldn't drink it through the straw. Every sip was full of cocoa grains from whatever mix they used. I requested a side of ranch with my onion rings. Didn't get it until I requested it again. But this was all okay. I wouldn't have been so unhappy, but then, as I was eating the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, I looked down and noticed that the meat was pink. Not just a little pink, it was raw in the middle. Philly Cheesesteak... It's not something that you get rare, medium, well done, nothing like that. It's made one way, and rare is definitely not how it's done. It was disgusting. Like they slapped a glob of meat on the grill, flipped it a few times until the outside was brown, and threw it on some bread with cheese. I will not return to this IHOP. And out of fear of it happening again, if I go to any other location, I'll never order the Philly again. read more

I find it funny that their door says open 24 hours and that their hours online say open 24 hours but that very door was locked this morning at 6am. All staff took off running to the blinds opening them and turning lights on when we tried pulling the door handle. Don't waste your time with them, go down the road to Pettys for a much better breakfast with much better staff. read more

Staff was extremely unorganized and hearing the waiters telling the cooks that people have been waiting a really really long time didn't add to the evening. Stopped at the iHop in Lindale for breakfast on a Saturday. Surprisingly, food was very good, hot and the service (Tiffany) was top notch. Had a small issue with the eggs being undercooked, but was fixed promptly & with a smile. We will be back. read more

Had brunch here while on our way to Shreveport from Dallas. The restaurant and restroom was very clean. My order came exactly how I asked for it. I like IHOP but this location was the worse IHOP I've been too. I ordered a salad and on the menu is said it's tossed with vinegar and that's why I got it. I received my salad and it did not have any vinegar on it. I didn't make a big deal about it since I was just thinking I'll just add some Italian dressing in it because ranch dressing does me bad. I asked for Italian dressing and the waitress said they only have ranch. I then asked about the vinegar and she said they haven't had vinegar in a year. So I asked her to replace my salad for something else and they did. I was also with my pastor and he ordered a well done stake. When the stake came it was raw. Like right when you look at it it looked raw. So I let the waitress know that it was raw but my pastor no longer wanted anything. A waitress also offered us some more coffee we said yes and she never brought our coffee. At the end I got my check and they still charged me for the stake that they had messed up on. I questioned it and the only thing they did was give us a dollar off. read more

Worst breakfast food ever. Pancakes seemed like they had been sitting in the window. Scrambled eggs seemed like they were out of a carton. Crepe was like warm at best. How hard is this. Another disappointing and frustrating visit to Lindale IHOP! This was our third visit and by far the worst. We had hoped to make an enjoyable family tradition of a big breakfast before our annual day at Six Flags! When we drove up the parking lot was pretty empty for 7:30 in the morning. As we walked in no one greeted us. The lady that was supposed to be at the front was back near the kitchen apparently in her own world appearing to be singing along with the music playing. She finally realized we were standing there, didn't really greet us and vaguely directed us to follow her to a booth or table. We were seated near a couple of other patrons who didn't appear to have any drinks or food yet, and they didn't look like they were happy. We weren't given the full menu, just something that only seemed to offer the specials or most popular items. It didn't even list what drinks were available or what they cost. The hostess did not do anything else, such as ask about drinks, offer coffee or anything. The one waitress was taking orders at another table and seemed to be taking forever. The people at table across from us looked like they were wondering the same thing we were, "is this going to take forever just to order?" We noticed the waitress came to that table and brought what looked like the full menu. So those folks had not even ordered yet, and there was another table near us that probably hadn't either. Not to be cruel, but the lone waitress was moving like molasses on a cold winters day! Because of our previous experiences at this IHOP, i.e. having to wait way too long just to get our food, we decided to leave! We got up and left. The waitress saw us leaving but didn't say anything, just had a dumbfounded look on her face. The hostess was once again missing from the front register so she didn't even know we were gone. Really bad IHOP! We have enjoyed your food and sometimes even the service in the past at other locations. But this location seems to have no clue what it is to provide a great dining/breakfasting experience. Its really like they just don't care. Maybe resting on the familiarity or popularity of the name IHOP. We won't be going back to this location. We promptly went across the highway to the Cracker Barrel and had the most excellent of service. read more

We were excited to see this restaurant open in our small town area . Tried to visit for lunch one Sunday a few weeks ago and it was so busy you couldn't get in the door. We decided to wait. Came through town after a Dr. Appt and decided to stop for a late breakfast. No problem getting in this time but very dissappointed. Service was extremely slow. The staff was pleasant but it took over 30 min to get food. This was French toast and eggs. Not steak. Then the food was barely warm. So......we won't be going back. So sad. read more

What a disappointment! I have always loved IHOP breakfasts - and seek them out when I travel. We were excited about having this franchise right in our back yard, so to speak. I've been here twice - once for the usual breakfast, for which I waited way too long - and the waitress forgot most of our order...over and over - and the second time was for an evening meal of soup and salad. Hard to figure out a way to ruin soup - but it was so awful I couldn't eat it. This was AFTER waiting forever....the table beside us didn't have their food after 45 minutes. Come on - there's no excuse for the poor service and even worse quality of food here. It's been open almost 2 months - it's time to get it together. There doesn't seem to be a manager here at all - people complained to the high school girls out front - and one of the waitresses said she wished she was at Outback! Really?
