Generally I can understand when a place may be understaffed (they mentioned this plenty of times about the kitchen) but for my food to come out cold and not even look decent? A SERVICE REVIEW- I've been to many IHOP locations in many states over the years. Their menu is great and omelets are HUGE! However, the one thing setting this location apart is the service. I received one of the best service I have ever received at IHOP, or any other restaurant for that matter. I wish I took note of the name of the young lady that took care of me and my wife this morning. She had the sweetest attitude and unparalleled attention to detail. She set up our table meticulously perfect yet without being obstructive to our conversation. Our order was perfect and she didn't bother us while eating but kept a close eye on our table to make sure we didn't need anything. Her physical appearance was also very pleasant. She looked happy and her uniform was impeccable. You could clearly tell she takes pride on her physical appearance. As a customer, I felt as if someone that takes that kind of pride on themselves she would take great care of us. I was not wrong, Thank you young lady for the best service I have ever received at a restaurant! We will definitely be back again and hopefully you are our server again. This is definitely not the place you want to be at on weekend mornings or weekend late nights (after midnight until 4 am-- basically clubing hours). Serivce is minimal, food can be sloppy; the reason I gave it two stars: I've gone several times at 5 am on weekdays and the food was good and the servers...well served, nicely. read more

My family and I have been to this restaurant twice, and we should have known better not even to go there the second time. This IHOP is dirty, ALWAYS crowded, and both times we have been there not only did we wait 40 minutes for our food....everything was almost cold! The pancakes warm, and the bacon burnt, and scrambled eggs ice cold. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It needs a complete overhaul, and there is a major need for a second one in the area to balance it out. While we were there, the manager visited 4 out of 7 tables for problems....in my opinion, the manager shouldn't have to come out at all! read more

Since my last review, I have visited this business numerous times. My food has always been hot & tasty, the staff courteous & attentive, and the prices fair. I like the KPD presence during late night hours, and in Killeen IHOP is my favorite place to go late night. Keep it up folks! read more

We went in here one night before a sixteen hour trip. We ordered and got our food, but never saw our waitress again. No refills. No service. The place was full of drunks trying to sober up. I ended up leaving $25.00 on the table on a $20.58 check. Walking out and there was my server. Standing out front smoking a cigarette talking to some random people. Way to go IHOP. Every time we go we have to wait forever to eat, someone always has something missing and the managers tried telling me that I couldn't use a coupon on a day because they were already having a sale at the restaurant!!! Waitress seemed very rushed. My boyfriend ordered a stack of four banana pancakes and they only brought him out two. Both our meals came out at different times. We had a party of 9 show up for Christmas. We called and were told there was no wait. Little did we know there was no wait to be seated but at least an hour wait to get food. When the food finally arrived all but two of the meals were cold. One steak meal looked like someone had chewed on it first; crepes were cold to the touch; scrambled eggs cold and rock solid. Some sucked it up and ate while others complained. The manager came by and took 50% off and the waitress seemed remorseful which was their only saving grace. While I have never really been a huge fan of iHop, il love going somewhere that I can sit down and enjoy a hot breakfast. I have been eating here just about every week for the past few months, and for the most part have been completely impressed. A few minor complaints here and there but for the most part, food is hot, the servers are friendly, the place is clean, and the food taste good! I have eaten at some bad iHops before, which give the entire chain a bad wrap, but this one is actually worth your while to check out! read more

I visit this particular iHop occasionally with mixed results. Sometimes it's on the ball with awesome service and food quality. Other times it's a headache to even get a seat. Recently they wrote my name down for a seat and skipped over me several times. When I asked about it, they said my name wasn't on the list even though I saw them write it. Still, they seem to get the food right most of the time. Just don't go here expecting consistency. They don't seem to be able to provide it. read more

If I could give no stars I would. We called and placed an order for pick up and when we went to go pick it up they said we never placed one. The lady at the front even asked us 3 times rudely if we where sure that we called them. This place has been hit or miss the last few times I've been there. One time it's good, the next time, not so much. It's a weird pattern. Last visit our waitress couldn't even take down a simple salad order. How hard is it to write down a house salad w/ caesar cheese and dressing? Terrible service! If you want to experience less than average tasting food and horrible service then this is the place for you. It started when I entered the restaurant early on a Monday morning. There were around 15-20 customers in the restaurant, so not busy at all. I waited to be seated for around 5 minutes while watching the majority of staff watching videos on their phone in the kitchen area, all the while the IHOP phone was ringing with no staff paying attention. Apparently the kitchen was where the party was at because there were around 8-10 staff members hanging in there. I finally was seated and it took another 10 min for someone to ask what I'd like to drink and even longer to place my order. The only time I saw my waitress was when she brought my breakfast. I had to find some ketchup o a different et table to use. Once finished I had to go to front entrance to pay my bill. As I left frustrated, listening to the phone still ringing at the front desk, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the folks waiting to be seated. Never again will I go to this place! read more

Management had to have changed because my experience was the complete opposite of all these other bad reviews. We went on a Sunday. The wait wasn't very long at all and we were seated by a very nice host. Our sever was LaQuinta and she was your top notch ideal server. Drinks filled on spot and food was served promptly! I highly recommend asking for her if you visit this location, you will have an amazing dining experience! The staff at this exceptional location was by far the best we have had in a long while. We have been to the one in Harker Heights twice and the service there was the worst we have ever experienced at a IHOP. We decided to try this location out because we wanted to see how it compared and there is no way we will be choosing the other over this one again. Hands down this location is the best in town. I see a lot of reviews that are negative here from several years ago and I'm wondering if things have improved. I've gone here probably 3 of 4 times over the last 2 years and every time I've gone everything has been fine. The food was really good for us. I got the Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon and I thought it was delish. Needed a little salt but I added it myself. My kids loved their pancakes and eggs. Hubby said his food was good too.
