Never thought I would frequent IHOP again, but I was hungry and it was getting close to dinner, so I decided to take the risk LOL. Mind you, my last visit to an IHOP was a good 7+ years ago, and my memory of the meal was pretty average at best. I was pleasantly surprised as this IHOP was pretty clean and organized compared another branch I had previously visited. When I received the menu I was again surprised at how pretty diverse the menu was (you mean it's not just pancakes?). Despite their robust new to me menu, I opted for the classic Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity, which is an equally robust four buttermilk pancakes topped with fruit (I selected the apple cinnamon) and some whipped cream. The pancakes were cooked perfectly with a nice brown griddled exterior and a fluffy interior. Shockingly the pancakes did not leave me with that lets move an extra notch on the belt feeling, as the pancakes weren't slathered with wads of butter like you sometimes encounter at diners. They were pretty light, well as light as four buttermilk pancakes can be. The warm maple syrup that was served with the pancakes was very tasty, and I found myself mindlessly pouring copious amounts of the warm thick sweet syrup onto the pancakes as it was so tasty. Don't forget to try the other syrups that are available table side, that comprised of: blueberry, strawberry, bosenberry, and pecan maple. I found the strawberry, blueberry, pecan maple, and bosenberry my preference (in that respective order). Meanwhile my sister (my foodie sidekick) ordered the T-Bone steak dinner.......now I know many of you that read this will be like: a T-Bone steak at IHOP? Seriously? Well being fairly knowledgeable on meats, I read on the menu the cut of the steak was USDA Select, which is pretty much the lowest end of beef available for consumption. Oh boy, I didn't feel envious for my sister! She ordered it medium rare and when it arrived the steak was cooked a spot on medium rare (of course, she allowed me some pieces of the steak to try). The seasoning was pretty decent too; with what I could discern as a simple seasoning of salt, pepper, and maybe some light garlic powder. The steak was unexpectedly tender (as Select tends to have very little fat) and overall decent to good. Though the steak's exterior could have used a better sear/char to get additional flavor/texture. The side order of potatoes were, like the steak, pleasantly tasty with tender (yet still with some crunch) potatoes and just enough Italian seasoning. Don't expect the best steak you ever had, or even something better than what you can make at home, but considering the expectations......it was a good eat. I ordered the steak and egg meal and asked for A1 sauce. I received an empty bottle. I ask for another A1 sauce bottle and it took a little longer than usual. Then a manager hands me what looks to be the same bottle but this time the sauce taste different like they put water in the bottle!!! DISGUSTING!!!! Been to this location twice and the service is always stellar. Very friendly staff and they always have a smile on their face. The first time we went, they made sure we signed up for a promotion they were running, which helped us save money. Awesome how they went out of their way to inform us about that. And tonight, they had a 60 cent pancake promotion which my wife and I took full advantage of. Overall, IHOP is always going to be a smash hit for great pancakes, combo options, good prices and speedy service. We were in and out tonight which is great for a weeknight meal outside the home. It's an iHOP. I didn't experience any problems though - our waitress was quite nice and prompt with the food and service. I always get the pancake combo, where you pick 2 same type pancakes and get eggs and bacon (or sausage). I love the chocolate chip pancakes, and it looks like the pancake batter is whole wheat as well. The hash browns at iHOP are pretty good as well, with that nice crispy hash browns on the top... It's nothing to write home about, but it is decent breakfast food for around $10 a person. I wish you good luck with the service because apparently it varies a lot at iHOP restaurants. read more

I haven't even tasted the food yet and I am bewildered. It took 10 minutes for hostess to greet me at the front desk and when she did it was with reluctance and the most unwelcoming smile I've ever seen at a restaurant. Not only was it unwelcoming and seemed like she didn't want to be there but she then went on to question me 5 times on whether I was correct with the number of seats for my family. I KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE THERE ARE IN MY FAMILY! But wait it gets better, although there were empty seats throughout the restaurant, we were seated on the other side of the restaurant where there was no one. After that awesome fiasco, we got to sit on a ripped booth. But to say it was bad luck is wrong because there were FIVE ripped booths so the odds were bigger than they should be. Food took forever, order was wrong and cold and the waitress disappeared for so long we couldn't even wait for her to remedy the situation BUT the manager came over and apologized even though we didn't complain to him and took 50% off the bill, hence the four stars. Went here at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday. No greeter at the front desk to seat us. Wait staff walked by and looked at us, but didn't acknowledge us. Greeter never showed up. Left after 5 minutes. I haven't been to IHOP in years and now i remember why i stopped coming. Service was non existent! Waitress came over , did not introduce herself or have a friendly disposition, she took our order and didn't write anything down. We get our beverages and have to ask for straws.. food arrives .. both burgers were not cooked too liking and wasn't asked by the waitress how do you want it cooked. My classic breakfast burrito ( egg,cheese, bacon, hash brown) was a combo of 2 different burritos and also included ham, onions and peppers. Soo i spent more time picking these out of my burrito instead of eating my burrito. Waitress walked past and asked you good? Not "did everything come out right, ""not can i get you guys anything" . Disgusting. One star is a compliment. The waiter treated me to nice and refilled my drink when it was empty to many times. The pancakes tasted like my dogs poop and trust me it taste bad. We arrived on Sunday around 1pm. It look a while before we were greeted. We were finally sat. Our waitress looked like she was crazy busy. We were ready to order when she got to us. My wife got a crepe and I got a cheeseburger. We were there for a long time. It was close to 30 minutes before we received our food. The waitress apologize and said something about there was a large group before us. My wife said the crepe was ok. My burger was garbage. The bread was soggy. They must of forgot that it was a cheeseburger. They just threw two pieces of cheese on the top. I did some cooking in my early life. It takes 1 minute to melt cheese on a burger. When someone orders a cheese burger they want a burger with melted cheese not a burger with two pieces of cheese on the side. I am glad i waited 30 minutes for this burger. The food is just about what you would expect from any IHOP but the service here is HORRIBLE and RUDE. The waiter who took our order was confused from the very beginning - we wanted 4 coffees and a juice, but he was insisting to take our drink orders individually. The food took a surprisingly long time to get out of the kitchen and the waitress who brought it over did not seem to enjoy her job at all. The whole time, she made snobby remarks about how the rest of our party was conversing in Chinese ("I don't even know what they're saying) and didn't bother to match our orders to the person who actually ordered it ("There's this... and this... oh, and this") while sloppily putting the plates down on the table, even on top of a couple cell phones. I have to say that stopping at this IHOP was a bad mistake. I didn't read the reviews of those before me before I entered the place. That was my first mistake. While waiting for service I checked in on Yelp, I glanced at the reviews and should have just walked out. The place specialized in slow and rude service and the food was awful. I had plain old pancakes and bacon at a pancake house. Who would think that you would get tough and rubbery pancakes at a place that specializes in pancakes? I think that I had the rubber chicken version of pancakes! The bacon was just fair. At least 3 diners and a Perkins are within a mile or so of this IHOP. They all have better pancakes than this place. While I was leaving, the manager rushed past me and actually elbowed another person aside so he could go out the front door. For one, I hate breakfast food to begin with but I was forced to come to IHOP . I was devastated learning that I couldn't even have the one thing I was looking forward to having which was the crepes with strawberry and cream. THEY RAN OUT OF STRAWBERRY! So even after I got over that ! I couldn't even have the strawberry lemonade ! So I had to settle for chicken fingers and French frys . That was about a 7/10! Instead of the strawberry lemonade I was dying to have I settled for apple juices. Thinking how can that be messed up. After seeing all the bad reviews I wonder if we're eating at the same place? The service has always been good here, It's clean, and from time to time we get a 2 for 1 coupon in the local paper. Went there for breakfast with my wife. First Woman seating people seated a couple that just walked in before us. Then we were given a table that was not clean. After at least 20 minutes I got the busser to come over who told a waitress we wanted to order. Then the staff debated who had to wait on us. I'll start this off by saying- the food was fine. The service and overall atmosphere on the other hand? Absolutely blow. I dined by myself on a lunch break, took 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge me and ask for a beverage order and another 10 for my drink to come out. I have to say, although are food order was accurate, and we dined on a Sunday afternoon...the service in this establishment was lacking. My husband suggested that maybe it was because it was a Sunday at a "brunch" hour (1:45) and it was busy...but the service here was awful. I knew it would be bad when I was pouring milk in to my toddlers sippy cup, and spilled it- there was no offer for help. Or a towel, or extra napkins. Just an "are you ready?" Yeah...I'm cleaning a mess, with one napkin...totally ready. There was almost zero communication from our server. When we said thank you, for anything, there was no reaction. When they dropped off our food, after about 20 minutes, our server had to go back for you youngest son's food. Who is a toddler. And rambunctious. Then about 4 + minutes after that, the side of French toast my husband ordered came out. Not once where we asked if the food was OK, of we needed any side items, or ketchup or anything. Not an utterance of "enjoy your meal," hell I'll even take the way too obviously perky server over the bland ass chick we had today. I get that you probably work shitty hours. I understand that it might have been the end of your shift .I have been and am exactly where you are right now, just not in an IHOP. You might make a couple more dollars per shift (instead of the 11.50 we left on our 61$ check...which is NOT 20% but WAY more than the service deserved, but way less than we usually tip) if you actually seemed like you gave a shit. I have not a clue what happened to the service here.... Food is still as expected from IHOP, but their customer service has gone down the tubes! We walk in and there's no one at the front to greet you... Happened a few times already... As we're standing there waiting to be greeted / seated or even to be acknowledged, several servers pass by and not even a glance; If the hostess is not available at the front, at least have the severs acknowledge you are there and say someone will be with you shortly. Finally, we are seated and recieved our food. The only time we see our, server again is when she places the check on our table and tell us to take our time, no rush... So I take the check up to the front register, where we are told to go back to our table bc our server takes care of the check there! We go back and wait some more! The person that told us to go back to our table doesn't even tell our server that we are looking to pay. So I go back to the front and hand her the check and my credit card this time and said we would like to pay.... She gets the hint and goes and finds our server this time and hands her the check. Now I'm watching our server busy talking to her fellow coworker with my check in hand... I continue to wait. She finally rings us up and starts walking towards me at the front register, but then turns and tells me to go back to the table! WHAT!?!! I'm half way out of the building and she wants me to go back to the table?!!!? My wife was waiting back at the table bc she figured they pull something like that... She signs the check as I'm already half out the door. During this whole time, who I believe is the manager (looks like a cross between RuPaul and Gustavo from Breaking Bad in Converse) is just talking away with the server and front desk person, who seems to not be able to manage the stress of customer service. I am truly disappointed in my local ihop.. I would always come here FOR brunch on Sundays but today I don't know what was going on but the Service was horrible and the food was not on point. My pancakes were over cooked, my aunt was missing items from her order. I ate half of my breakfast combo before my pancakes even came out. Run-down! The booths are all broken, sagging, and worn out. The sign is missing letters. The staff don't seem to care any more than ownership, who obviously doesn't. I was happy with our service, the menu, and the prices. We usually try to favor local restaurants as opposed to chains but you can't beat that this is open 24 hours, they have no problem with menu substitutions and they are friendly. For me, it was a bonus to see the calorie count on the menu so I could make a healthy choice. The cage-free egg white veggie omelet was filled with fresh ingredients. Loved it. read more
