I've visited this location once in the past. Food was below average. Service was horrible. Yet still, I called today (Tuesday, 03.24.26) at 4:30 pm to inquire about IHOP Family Night, with hopes of taking my family of 7 to the restaurant for dinner. The staffer who answered the phone was rude and inattentive. She replied "yes" to my question asking if the Hoover location hosted IHOP Family Night then proceeded to hang up on me after I asked for the event details. I called back. My call was immediately sent to an answering service. I called back again. The phone was picked up however no one said hello or anything else. I could hear sounds from the restaurant in the background. I stayed on the line for 3 minutes then heard the receiving end hang up, again. Prior to calling, I looked for info on the website about whether or not this location hosts family night and found none. Management, please fix this. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 1/30/26 8:15am. I frequently go to IHOP there and get my food and go but my car stopped working in the parking lot. I got my food and ask staff could I dine in because my car stopped working and I'm waiting on AAA to tow my car. They flat out said "NO" we cannot accommodate your request. I did not argue or ask for manager. The front attendee knows me from frequent visits there, mind you it was very cold outside. My friend and I went out to this IHOP after I got off of work on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. My friend got the chopped chicken salad and said it was good and was satisfied with the amount of chicken it came with.  I ended up getting the double blueberry pancakes with the blueberry topping on the side. After a long day at work and looking forward to some food, the pancakes tasted great to me. I didn't add the extra blueberry topping because it tasted a bit too tangy for me, but having just butter and syrup on the pancakes was enough for taste.  The server there was very helpful and efficient and constantly checked up on us. After craving some sweet and savory breakfast food, my best friend and I decided to stop by IHOP since we hadn't had any in a while. We were seated quickly and our waitress came by shortly after to get our drink orders. The restaurant had a few other people inside and the vibe inside was quiet but comforting. I ordered the cinnastack pancakes combo while my best friend ordered the strawberry cheesecake pancakes combo. The pancakes were absolutely delicious and, thankfully, completely covered in toppings. Absolutely no syrup needed. We both had bacon, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns for our sides and they were delicious as well. My hashbrown was seasoned well and a little crispy on the edges, just the way I like it. The eggs didn't have much flavor but a little salt and pepper jazzed them up just right. Came here for breakfast. I like IHOP. They have a full breakfast menu but honestly the past few times we have been here it's been disappointing. I ordered my eggs over medium. They were over easy. Bacon was burnt on one end and undercooked on the other. Hash browns were very good. I also ordered toast. That did not come out with my food. When I finally got my toast, they only brought one order so my husband had to wait for his which didn't come till he was done eating. I ordered pumpkin pancakes too. They did not come out with the rest of my food. When they finally came out they had glaze and whip on them which I did not want. Had to wait for new pancakes which did not arrive till we were ready to go. Hubby got biscuits and gravy which were the most pathetic biscuits and gravy I've ever seen. I literally think he got 1/4 cup of gravy and the biscuit didn't look that great either. Service was ok. Just a mess with the food and we waited a long time for it. I recently went to IHOP and had a pretty solid experience. IHOP always has that cozy diner feel! Even though it was fairly busy, we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was very kind and checked up on us often without being overbearing, which in my opinion made our experience more enjoyable. The food came out hot and looked pretty much like what you'd expect, big portions and lots of options. My friend and I decided to share two entrees so we could taste both savory and sweet options. We got the strawberry cheesecake pancakes and the spinach and mushroom omelet. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and didn't need syrup. The omelet was beyond words, so good. The spinach and mushroom flavor wasn't overbearing which I liked. The thing that stood out to me was the value, for the amount of food we got, splitting two things, we were both pretty full and the price was reasonable. Came here before our trip to Sam's Club. Very disappointed!! Wife and I ordered, I had the breakfast sampler, and sho ordered the senior breakfast sampler. Both were ordered with eggs over medium, eggs were over easy(if that!). The egg whites were still uncooked, pancakes were cold as if they were just pulled from the refrigerator!! Brought this to our waitresses attention, especially with there being an egg recall right now for Salmonella!!! They did nothing!! We won't be back. It been so many years since I last ate at IHOP and the boyfriend and I figured we'll stop by after our movie. For a second there, we thought they was closed because there wasn't many cars in the area. The first thing we noticed after walking in was the constant cleaning from the employees. We got seated and got our drinks order. We looked at the menu and I decided on the Big Steak Omelette with an upgrade on the pancakes which was the New York Cheesecake. My boyfriend ordered the Sirloin Steak Tips and Eggs with Belgian Waffle. His Sirloin was sweet like they added sugar onto it instead of salt. The waffle was way too big and the butter wasn't even melted. My omelette was huge and good, but the salsa for the omelette was disgusting and my pancakes was on point. Food was cold. Was supposed to be curbside pickup at 7:28. Clocked app that I had arrived. At 7:38, I went in to inquire and waited 10 minutes inside because they "forgot the pancakes". When I finally got the order, I asked two different people if the food was going to be cold. They said "shouldn't be" and the second person said "no, they just finished the order". Well, I drove 1 mile to the hotel and when we opened the food, it was cold. The coffee had a terrible taste too. Awful experience and terrible food and service. On February 29, 2024, I ordered the Two for Two Breakfast and the Steak, Egg, with Pancakes. The steak was so tender, cooked just right and seasoned so good that it made me want another one but I was already at home so I went into my freezer and took some out and cooked them. I tell you everything was so good. I love my pecan syrup, my pancakes, and eggs were fluffy and delicious. My sausage was cooked completely along with my bacon. Now, my ham pieces could have been larger but you pay for what you get when you get a combo. But, altogether I give my food 5 stars, the person coming to my car 5 stars but I had to wait when I got there and it took them to long to pick up the phone.l that's why I gave them 4 stars overall. I had called several times and no one answered plus it was past my pick up time. However, they did finally pick up and the condiments I requested were in my bag. When we arrived at around 1pm on a Friday they weren't busy at all! We were seated and served right away. This is one of my favorite IHOPS in the Birmingham area mainly because of how clean it is and each time service was nice and also quick. This IHOP restaurant is large so plenty of parking and seating! I ordered the split decision breakfast and everything was done very well! I always ask for "real eggs" when I order instead of the kind they keep in the cartons because those I don't care for. But other than that everything was good, especially the pancakes and French toast! My favorites! One thing about IHOP is that they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day so that leaves you with many options which can be a good thing unless you're indecisive like me. Unless I have a specific taste for something (like their mozzarella sticks, onion rings, or yummy quesadillas!!) I usually just stick with the breakfast menu! read more

IHOP is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. Not only am I getting a hot and ready breakfast, but I can also get how much of the breakfast I want. I usually get the sausage, eggs, hash browns, and grits. The staff at IHOP is also what makes this place a great place to go. They are always recommending some great buffet items and their personal favorites, which is very helpful when I want to try something new. I also asked about some of their COVID-19 policies and they are like a lot of places I try out, they give people the option to wear the mask. But they do have things like the sitting of people and the line spaces to prevent some COVID things. read more

Comments: When my breakfast came to the table my eggs were snotty , I ordered them over medium. The server had me put them on a plate and took them back. . After a long period she returned with new eggs, the were worse, way undercooked... she took them back again . She returned a short time later with my eggs. They had been MICROWAVED, extremely overcooked and basically rubber. I could not eat them. I had already ate my two sausages and about half of my hash browns. I had been waiting on my eggs to finish my hash browns... this ruined my breakfast!! She apologized and when to have the check adjusted... the mgr took $1.99 off the check... that is unacceptable due to my breakfast being ruined!! I expressed my disappointment and was belittled, told that was all he was going to do. I had ate the other food and was only missing the eggs... I waited on my eggs which was a part of the plate I ordered... if I hadn't wanted the eggs I would not have ordered them !! I expect more than the pitiful excuse for compensation I received. My son's baseball game ended at 11am so we chose to go to IHOP for a late breakfast on our way to our hotel. The wait was pretty long but I expected that since it's Sunday. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. We were able to order within 10 minutes. We did have to wait over 20 minutes for our food - breakfast food. It wasn't because they were so busy. People who came in after us were literally finished with their food before we even got ours. The coffee was hot but very watered down. It had no flavor. I had country fried steak, hash browns, two eggs over medium and two pancakes. My son had strawberry crepes. My eggs were barely warm, the hash browns weren't very crispy and not hot, the pancakes were good and the steak was great! It was very hot and cooked to perfection, topped with just the right amount of gravy. It was a generous piece of meat, too. For this week's assignment, I went ahead and went to IHOP! If I were to recall correctly I believe that Tuesday had free pancakes from 7:00 AM through 7:00 PM. I had to seize this opportunity lol. The customer service I received was great as usual. I went ahead and ordered the chocolate chip pancakes since that is my go-to order. I'm not trying to sound like a food critic but one of the pancakes had a bit of a sour taste which ruined my mood. This restaurant delivers the consistency that you expect from a "good IHOP". I had the banana pancakes with strawberry compote on the side, hash browns, egg whites, turkey bacon and coffee.
