I am giving this place five stars all the way, from the food to the service! We walked in on a Saturday at 10:30 AM and only waited about four minutes for our table. A lovely lady named Yenifer was our waitress, and she was so sweet! She walked us through the menu and showed us different options for my kids, which they loved. I ordered the spinach, mushroom, onion, and hollandaise sauce omelet, while my kids got the avocado toast and the smiley pancake, they were so happy with their food! For my side, I upgraded to the strawberry-stuffed French toast for an extra charge, and OMG, it was delicious as always, flavor perfection, just like back in the day! The restaurant was clean, and the temperature was perfect (I hate when places have the AC or heater blasting, but it felt amazing in here). The only tiny suggestion I have is to please offer almond milk, they currently only carry regular, 1%, and half-and-half. We went to the Hicksville location, no line as it was a weekday mid morning. Hubby and I each ordered a pancake combo, I had the tres leches pancakes, over easy eggs, hash browns and pork sausages and of course coffee. The hash browns were crispy and the over easy eggs were actually cooked perfectly. I was disappointed in the 2 skinny sausage links (the years have not been kind, I recall them being plumper) and the coffee had a burnt taste to it. Four stars though for the pancakes. Ok I've done various reviews at IHOP. People are nice, food is what one expects, Tuesdays is Sr. Day. They have a rewards club and also if you do a survey you can be eligible for a stack of pancakes. They do have specials (see pix) This trip - I got a hamburger. Yeah I know, why would I go to ihop ... but, that what I felt like eating and, I was glad they have it as a choice. I am cringing having to write a review like this one but after having multiple problems & issues when ordering from them, I do not have a choice. I am the least extra person/ personality, I like my food simple and basic but tonight's delivery was on a whole different level. I ordered the 2X Banana Foster Crepes, I received 2x crepes completely plain, literally. I ordered 2 eggs, I received 2 eggs with pork bacon on top which means now I cannot eat the eggs all together because I cannot have pork. The bacon was ordered as a separate side order for my dog. There was an order for strawberry & banana pancakes but we only received bananas. Now take all that and include the cost which was $91.00!! this was a failure of epic proportions.. I can deal with the terrible presentation of the food, because like I said before I am extremely basic when it comes to food. Now I am out $91.00 and have nothing to eat after working a 12 straight hour shift. I should have learned my lesson from the previous times they have completely messed up. As a marine combat veteran I went alone on Veterans Day for the free meal, all was great but they bring a container of coffee which I had one 6oz cup from. The service was good. However, the meal was not. Let me elaborate, I used to eat the Big steak Omelette at other Ihop locations. Never b4 have I ever complained (enough steak). This day I was craving the steak omelette and therefore, I ordered it. To my surprised, the omelette was big BUT there was NO steak. The omelette was just that, an omelette with a few mushroom. The steak was cut so tiny that it look like bacon bites on top of the omelette mixed with hash brown (they thought that maybe you would not notice). I called the waitress over and ask her if she placed the correct order for me bc I do not see nor taste the steak and her response was that they were economizing on the steak so that this is the way they prepare it. I did not know what to say, I could NOT believe that she was defending the fact that sure there was no steak on my omelette, but it is a steak omelette . I did NOT eat it. I cannot believe that I paid 20.00 dollars for a meal that was NOT what was expected. Very dissatisfied with this Ihop they should not advertise something that they are not going to follow through. Hands down but I have to give credit where it should be! Our waitress amazing. Yenni she is the sweetest and went above and beyond for a mom with her 4 kids. She was there when we spilled juice and she told me not to worry, she bought the food out within mins, and the couple next to us totally understood that kids will be kids and didn't judge us at all. There are several ihops that are better than this location. We were given a slanted table next to the toilet, the food came in 3 separate stages then my hash-browns had black stuff inside! My husband and I came here today for (supposedly) breakfast. We were ushered to the back of the restaurant as soon as we arrived. We waited and waited and waited for the server to come and to ask for our order or at least if we want coffee. I even went to the bathroom already before I sat down. After good 20 minutes, WE WAITED FOR SOMETIME MORE UNTIL WE REALIZED WE're being IGNORED. There was this woman server who covers our area ignored us and yet she immediately went to this new family who just arrived and gave them a jar of coffee. There were other servers standing around and yet it seems No ONE CARES. These probably just bunch of young workers who just need a job for the day. No clue on how to do their job. We got up and left ,we stopped at the counter to complain but the waiter didn't even apologize. We asked another worker who's the manager so we can make a complaint but we were told, the manager was not in. This place service sucks!!! The restaurant was not even crowded compared with other IHops. I wonder why??? We went to Westbury IHop instead where we received excellent customer service!!!! read more

This place is stealing peoples money. It's very weird how I asked for the change and 1 million people came to the front and had all coins in their they are scamming people here. Beware!!!!!! Awful experience. Gabby was delightful had the order right. Half of the party received their food while the other's received theirs 15 min prior. Kitchen crew had to remake pancakes 3 times being undercooked. They doused frozen strawberries on the gluten free order which by the way had to be remade bc the pancakes had a weird crunch with the every bite. Lastly the manager volunteered to give us 10% off which in my opinion was a futile attempt rectify the situation. Lastly not 1 but 2 two male employees jumped in front of two of our female parties (one pregnant) to use the restroom designated for women. Never Again! read more

My family always came to this location when I was little. We thought it would be a fun and nostalgic to have brunch here today. OMG were we wrong! We were already a little dissatisfied with the server (Tarcisio) when he brought everyone's food out except for my nephew's and we all had to wait 10 minutes for his food to finally come out. He ordered exactly the same thing as me so I'm not sure why they took so long for another one. The server probably never put his order in. By the time he finally got his food, all of ours was cold. We still tried to make the most of it and enjoy our brunch, but the server never came to check on us or apologize for bringing the food out late. We just had different servers checking in on us. My brother is known in our family for leaving way too much for a tip because he insists good service deserves it. When he went to pay the bill, we all knew our server did not deserve a good tip. When he handed the money to the server, he looked at my brother and said "that's it!?" My brother was stunned at what he just said and took the tip back to recount how much he gave him. Then the server said "keep it, you need it more than I do". The manager (Alexa) was standing right next to them and didn't open her mouth once, even as my brother was telling the server how rude he was being. Another server came to our table to apologize for what he just witnessed and my brother decided to give him the tip since he was the only one that seemed to care. The manager just left the cashier and was nowhere to be seen until we left. As we walked out, we asked the cashier for the name of the server and manager so we could formally complain about what happened. She must've told the manager because as we're saying our goodbyes in the parking lot, she comes out and says "oh sorry about the server". I honestly blame her more than the server because she should've spoke up as soon as she heard the server being rude and tried to make us happy after what happened. Instead, she never said a word and was nowhere to be found. What kind of a manager just stands there as her server is talking like that to a customer?? We were all fuming by that point and told her exactly what we thought of her managerial skills. So so disappointing and we definitely won't be back to this location!! Went here on 12/30 and 12/31. Both times has issues with server either getting the order wrong or not being familiar with the menu. Also had issues with redeeming coupons. When I tried to pay using the IHOP app, I was unable to scan the barcode because the ink must have been running out on their printer and the barcode could not scan properly. I left my daughter at the table to go to the counter to see if I could have a new receipt printed. At that time a waitress (or two) yelled out to see if I paid as they thought I was "dining and dashing". I then got a new receipt and paid and left a tip. Came here for brunch on a holiday and it was crazy packed! Took a while since we had a large party. Staff was extremely friendly and service was great. Pros: 1. Food was pretty good. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, bacon perfectly cooked and eggs were executed nicely. 2. Service was friendly. 3. Portions are a good size. Cons: 1. When did IHOP get so expensive? 2. The wait I bet on the weekends and/or holidays must always be pretty crazy. Diner may suffice if there's no wait. 3. Menu is too confusing. Be prepared to order before getting there or it may take a long time to order like it did me. 4. Why is breakfast not good for you. Just look at the calorie count. IHOP has a turkey and gravy entree on the menu. Had ordered it at another IHOP and thought with mashed potatoes and broccoli made a sensible dinner meal. Only at this location the turkey was dry as heated without gravy. When requested gravy got a bowl of room temperature gravy. Turkey should have been heated with gravy as at the other location.
