#41/2024 excellent IHOP all the way around One of the old ones prior to covid used to be open 24 hours. I walked in here cuz I was able to get my tractor in which was nice I wanted some breakfast cuz customer is going to be a while to unload. It was on veterans Day 2024 I was greeted and seated immediately it wasn't very crowded but it didn't get crowded as I was there a little longer. The one thing you notice here though is the staff seem like they were very happy to be there they enjoyed working for the people. That also goes for the bus crew who had great smile great attitudes you can see they enjoyed their jobs too. I was very impressed by the quality of the food and a whole lot more. You can see a lot of the local clientele like to hang out here and there's a reason why. Definitely if I go back to this air conditioning facility and they take a long time to unload again I will drop the trailer and come down here and eat again Nothing different as far as the menu it's all the same like any other IHOP but some of the small little things definitely stood out hence the four stars on first visit. read more

Popped in for a quick bite while driving back to Charlotte. It's been years since I've been to an IHOP. But it hit the spot. I ordered the lemon ricotta and berry french toast. I asked for the ricotta on the side but it came out still on top. That's my only complaint. So I had to scoop it off. But the French toast was yummy. Paired it with some Turkey bacon and cheese grits. The grits were pretty bland so I didn't eat much of those. The coffee was pretty watery tasting, but it's IHOP so I wasn't expecting too too much. The service was excellent and food came out as pictured in the menu. I'm so glad we went to this location. I also want to mention a location we first went to (Fairview Rd, Simpsonville) since it's near our home. As we walked in, there was a server who approached and said they were only accepting cash. My husband asked whether the system was down, and she said no, just that they were only accepting cash. There was only one customer in the restaurant. We have visited this location before and there was only one server who sat customers, took their orders, and had to cook due to lack of help. I've seen other reviews that were poor. I don't like posting this review on Woodruff Rd's board, I just want to make sure this is seen by anyone who may be considering going to the Fairview location. read more

Although both the strawberry banana and the blueberry pancakes I got were very good above average from other IHOP's my sons burger and my turkey bacon were not on par Service was slow but waitress was very friendly and busy Still I will return to this IHOP nothing was a deal breaker and it might have just been an off night 3.5/5 Maybe next time they will redeem themselves on my turkey bacon and my sons burger . I really like this IHOP. The staff is great, friendly, and they have the neighborhood vibe down great as they know there regulars well. The food is decent and you can't go wrong with breakfast. They have seasonal menus that also are good and great if your hungry, it comes out usually very quickly. It could use little renovation here and there, some seats were torn and put together with tape but no big deal for me. Also they like to give you the bill as your eating, which could be taken the wrong way to feel rushed but I noticed they do that with everyone so I didn't let that bother me I just paid when I was done. What did them in for me and my family was: the Crepe drowning in Nutella and the hair in my coffee cup! Our server "pre-poured" about 1/2 cup of coffee, set it on the table, walked off. This was our first outing after restaurants were back open for inside dining. Ihop is Ihop and their food is great (you know the after church, Sunday brunch goodness) however, their service is mediocre at best. I understand keeping costs down so using 1 printed menu per table, using the "to-go" supplies like utensils and condiments was expected so that there is no contact with something someone else used. But, the staff here did not make our experience comfortable. The gentleman seating the tables was warm and inviting, but our waitress was un-attentive and spacey. Second meal around the Greer area and so glad we stopped in. Shannons service was amazing and me and my uncle could really feel the southern hospitality. Mannnnnnn... this was the absolute WORST experience I've ever had at an IHOP. It was a very busy Sunday, plus we had 5 kids and 2 adults -- totally expected a bit of a wait. Completely fine. We waited about half an hour for a table (not bad at all). Ordered drinks and food right away. The server forgot to put in our order. We waited and waited. Every table around us ate and left... finally we asked the server for more coffee. At that point, an hour and a half into our dining experience, I believe she decided to check on our order and realized she'd forgotten it. They greated us promptly when we walked in they seated us immediately. It took few minutes for me & my daughter to figure out what we wanted & they were very patient & gave us more time. We made our order. It was fine for my daughter's order but they messed mine up, I ordered breakfast potatoes instead of hashbrowns & when our food came I had hashbrowns. They forgot the blueberry syrup for my daughter's waffles & I had to wait for the breakfast potatoes so I we just ate what we had. I ate my eggs. The food was great except the messing up my order & having to wait for my potatoes & the syrup for my daughter. They didn't fix our bill or take off for anything or do anything for the mistake. The receipt still had hashbrowns on it that I didn't eat & they were still on the plate. I feel that at the least the potatoes should've been taken off or some kind of discount. This is our favorite location so we will be back at some point in the distant future but not anytime soon, this was our first time having any issues & this visit was a little disappointing this time. We waited well over an hour before anyone came to our table so we could pay. They did walk by & look at us a few times & I had the money in my hand & where they could see it in my hand, at one point I had it laying on the table. I went to bathroom & told my teen if they come to the table to go ahead & pay them but when I came back my daughter told me they hadn't came to the table but walked by & looked at her a few times. I met a group of friends at IHOP for breakfast this Saturday morning. The hostess was kind enough to allow us to move tables as I wasn't sure of the group count. As we got settled in and people started showing up our server was very good about checking in to make sure each person got in their drink orders. Our orders were taken and the food came out in a timely fashion. I ordered the Bacon, Sausage, Eggs and Pumpkin Pancakes. Everything was cooked as requested and tasted great. The Pumpkin Pancakes were particularly good, they are a seasonal item, so I'm glad I was able to give them a try. The IHOP was clean and the staff were attentive, the only real issue here was the poor cashier. She was at the register with a waiting room filled with people waiting to check out. She wasn't slow, it looked like too much was being expected. (check people out, answer the phone, and take to-go orders). This IHOP is a hit or miss restaurant, I eat there quite often most of the time the food is good and hot and sometimes warm but on a lot of the time the eggs are cold I get tired telling them I want my food hot. It was below average, not even the level of mediocre. I got the Fourth of July special. Strawberry and blueberry pancakes with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The pancakes were soggy and the syrup was one note. Sugar and more sugar. The fruits were frozen and had a terrible squishy texture. Thank God for their eggs. Perfect as usual. The hash browns were mostly soft instead of crispy. The service was alright but I felt like they were pushing us out of our seat. I've always loved going to an IHOP but the last few years a lot has changed. We barely go a few times a year and it's not because of the food, it's the service. My daughter and I have tried lunch time, several times. Every one we've gone to, the servers have been inattentive and slow(and there are barely a dozen people in here). Went to this one because the one on wade Hampton across from Bob Jones got demolished. The waitress that waited on my wife and I at the woodruff rd. Location said they are rebuilding it and should be reopened around March. The waitress knew us because we ate at the wade Hampton location all the time and she served us there. Can you say "All you can eat pancakes"? I sure as $#!t can, and I took full advantage of it. Suckas!! We have had a flurry of winter weather here recently (we had about 4 inches of snow/ice LAST Friday), so the whole county basically shut down for four days. No school on Monday and Tuesday. As fate would have it, today was a scheduled teacher workday and Monday is a holiday too. Basically, from Dec 16th until Jan 17th, my kids were in school for 7 days. I had to find something to do with them today, so we went to IHOP. We actually had a good time. I got the all you can eat pancakes for $7.99 (two pancakes to start, hash browns, two eggs, and four strips of bacon), one girl got the chicken and waffles for $8.49, and the other got the tall stack of pancakes for $4.99. I ended up eating 8 pancakes and we had two left over from our meal. All in all, I think we made out pretty good. The food tasted great and was very reasonably priced as well. Great news! All you can eat pancakes are back! Bad news! This IHOP sucks! My boyfriend and I love IHOP. We have dined at this particular location without problem. Tonight the service was slow and impersonal. Our waitress took our plates without asking if we were finished or if we wanted more pancakes. We were sucking on ice cubes after one single water refill. Our server was texting behind the frosted glass partition. I get it. Wednesday night at IHOP is boring. You shouldn't have to try. I can't really blame our server too much as the attitude of many of the other workers seemed sloppy and lazy. Since you didn't ask, IHOP, I just wanted to let you know how I felt after dinner. Yes, we are finished. I have no intention of eating the rest of that rancid fruit. We have eaten at this particular IHOP many times and have yet to be disappointed. This has usually been on a Sunday morning, and even at their busiest time we are always seated within 10 minutes. Yes, service has varied, but it's never been bad enough to Yelp about. Their omelets are always perfectly prepared, and for me, their pancakes are second to none. IHOP is always a reliable breakfast spot. Personally I think they have the BEST scrambled eggs anywhere. I also go for guilty pleasures like red velvet pancakes or a custom omlette - I'm not actually a huge omlette person, but they have one I can do with chicken, avocado, cheese, and a Spanish sauce over it that is super tasty. My only advice is to get there early on weekends - by 10am you're probably going to be waiting a while, stays really busy! read more
