Just left Panera and got to the hotel room with our "to-go" order and it was not prepared the way we asked. We placed our order on the kiosk. Her only request for her meal was no sauce on the sandwich at all. So my fiancé was INCREDIBLY DISPLEASED and upset that they didn't follow the simple instructions for her sandwich. She was upset because she didn't ask for additional items for her sandwich/meal and the preparers screwed up the order. We were the only people ordering at the time so she/we can't understand why the simple directions were not followed. She did a pick a 2 and somehow ended up with a full sandwich that hardly any chicken on it. She tried to make her a half sandwich with the meat and discovered the sauce. We asked for some mustard packs before leaving the store and they didn't have any available although we didn't know about the error at the time. Often it's the small things that make huge difference. This time, small things were simply, not following the directions. The ambiance was your typical Panera. It was clean inside. We were in town for my aunt's funeral. We decided to grab Panera since it is right by the hotel and they are typically consistent in other cities we've been to and where we live. I had an unusual experience happened, where I received a confirmation email for an order. However, I didn't place an order. I realized my panera account was hacked. The person was able to log into my account and place an order for pick up at the Woodruff location in South Carolina. Since I am in Portland, Oregon, I was confused on how they had hacked it. But I was able to call the Woodruff location and an associate (I believe his name was Jake) was able to assist me. He was able to cancel and refund the order. He even called later to let me know what happened when the person who placed it tried to pick it up. Definitely appreciate the associate! read more

I think I've eaten at a Panera bread maybe three times in my life. There's also a reason why I don't eat at Panera bread. The prices are too high in the customer service is not what you want. The cashier was a little snarky with his commentary but since I rarely eat at Panera I was confused on how to redeem my rewards. During this time another worker walks by behind the register and rubs his nose then gets to working, not sure if he was handling food but either way the sink is right there to wash your hands. Once we sit down we get our plate of food and the plate has either grease or butter marks all over it. That instantly turns me off and I question the quality of my food, I take the food back to the cashier and point out the dirty plate. For what I paid and what I got it definitely does not match up. So far, I prefer the Taylors location to this one. They were out of several bagel flavors, on what is probably the busiest bagel day for them. Why? Don't they know how to plan for sales? You can't sell whatcha don't have. Secondly, the iced coffee at this location is not self serve. It is at the Taylors location. I really like being able to do it myself. I go to this location a lot because I work in the area. The time before my order was incorrect and missing an item. I just let it go. Mistakes happen. This time, though, I ordered a pick two with a Caesar salad and a steak panini. I got a sandwich with french bread and about 3 small cut up pieces of steak that didn't come close to covering the sandwich, 2 small pieces of marinated onions and a small layer of cheese. Nothing else. It was essentially bread. My salad came with a 1/3 full small container of dressing. They told me the brownie was no longer a 99 cent add on. No problem, I ordered it anyway. What they didn't tell me was that they changed it and now it is a dried out hockey puck. At least the drink was good. This all cost nearly $20. I won't be going back. read more

Let me start by saying I love Panera and I hate giving this review. I've been going to Panera's since early 2000s and rarely had a bad experience. Tonight was the second time we have used the delivery feature of the mobile app. Ordering was easy, but will say the family meal should be grayed out if you aren't allowing substitutions for the baguette. The food was delivered quickly, however this is when it goes downhill. One meal out of four was left off. I tried to call the store five times. Each time (after going through the automated system) the phone just rang before disconnecting. On the sixth call, I finally got someone. After telling them the mistake, I was told it would be another 45 minutes before they could deliver it. I asked for a refund on the missed item and was told they couldn't do that. The best they could do was give me a store credit for the next time I'm in the restaurant. Since I have rarely seen a hand written store credit work, I told them I would come to the store and get it. When I arrived at the store, not only was the driver who dropped off our order at the store, I could over hear the lady who I spoke with on the phone talking about the "Mac n Cheese" order (my order). Not once was there an apology or any concession on how to make this inconvenience right. We will definitely be checking any delivery orders before they leave the driveway. read more

The woman behind the register left off my smoothie, charged us extra for our muffins instead of having them be the 99 cent add-ons, AND forgot to add in that I asked for no onion or tomatoes on my sandwich. I come here often and they are fast and friendly. The only thing is bothersome sometimes is seating. There is plenty of seating outside but inside fills up quickly on a busy lunch day. I also know there isnt much they can do about that. It does give you some insight as to how many people love the place though!
