Based on the reviews, it seems we may have visited on a day when the "JV" team was playing. The reception from the host was indifferent. When we inquired about the menu, he pointed to a QR code. While that's fine, it would be helpful for first-time visitors to explain or provide context regarding the menu or offerings. Without a phone, I doubt we would have been able to place an order. Questions about the offerings were met with brief, mumbling responses. When we asked if there was a "Salad Bar," he answered affirmatively, but we searched and never found it. We were informed us about the availability of sodas or drinks, which we later found in the online menu and at the rear of the restaurant. In any case, we tried the Chicken Gyro and the Chicken and Lamb plate entrees, along with wings as a side. The food was decent but not particularly memorable. The total check came to around $43 or $44. It takes a minute to get your food. So go when you have a few minutes to spare.

Amazing and delicious traditional food, very large portions for a fair price. Everything tastes very fresh. Owners should advertise being Yemeni more, the food was much better than the average "Mediterranean" restaurant in the area. The staff was very nice as well, not sure if he was the owner or not but he was full of smiles, as well as being so kind as to giving us Qatayef!

Got the chicken and lamb rice bowl, it was great, the meat was super flavorful and tender. Also got the hummus and pita which was delicious. The restaurant actually has a lot of seating and cute atmosphere but it doesn't look like it from the outside. Great food and service. The bowl was a little pricey, but it comes with a lot of food and was enough to share. Will be back!

That Philley Cheesesteak was good plus I got the Dubai ice cream but sadly I'm allergic to nuts but they still offer me with chocolate which was so nice of them

Not our first time here. We both had the lamb chop and it was delicious! The service here is always great!

Great food and service. The lamb and chicken over rice was sooooo good. This was my girlfriend and I first time here and it didn't disappoint at all. The man who helped us was very helpful and nice, he was serving and also making the food at the same time. Great multitasker! The smoothies also are worth getting if you are a smoothie person. Will definitely come here again. 100% recommend.

My daughter and I went here for lunch today. I got the lamb and rice and she got the chicken and rice. I really enjoyed my meal. It was soooooo flavorful I didn't need to add anything. The tzatziki sauce I feel missed the mark but that's my own personal opinion. I will definitely have them again.

Confusing menu, kind of poor service, and overpriced. Food was okay, but not good enough to make up for all the other things.

The lady started friendly but seemed cold when I looked at iPad to review the bill. We ordered 2 sandwiches- 1 gyro and 1 shawarma. It CLEARLY on the menu says it comes with a side of fries, Greek salad, hummus, pita etc. Nowhere does it mention an up-charge for anything. I saw it said +$2.50 for each of the sides we asked for with the sandwich. I questioned this and she gave me a face like "how dare I question?" And just said "nothing is included with Sandwich, even fries". It literally contradicts what is on the menu! She said she'll tell her manager. Anyway- that was weird. Also, on the mixed grille it came with the tiniest pieces of pita, almost offensive, given the price. The entrance feels nicer for a take out place with the fake plants on the walls, but the back is closed off and the bathroom is dirty. Overall, I'd really only go for take out. And know they're cheap and will nickel and dime you.

We've had some good food here but we have missed kabobs etc. We got the Mixed Plate for Two which seriously had almost everything on the menu. The first things brought out was the Hummus, Baba Ganoush with Pita. The Hummus was delicious and I was so surprised by the Baba Ganoush. It was very different from what I thought. It was delicious! Then came the HUGE PLATES of food. Greek Salad, Chicken Kabob, Jerusalem Kabob, Lamb Chops and Rice Pilaf. Wow! Everything was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was seasoned well and tender. The Jerusalem Kabob was perfectly seasoned and the Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The rice was different than I was used to, it had raisins in it. My husband doesn't like rice but couldn't stop eating it. The young man helping us was so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!!!

I love that they constantly have new menu items and features so you can keep coming back again and again for something new. This last time, I ordered some sweet potato pancakes (that must have been a special because I can't find them on the menu now) and they were SO GOOD!!! They had nuts in them and they were not too sweet which was surprising in the best way. My wife got the classic chicken and waffles and loved them and our 3rd wheel got an omelet. He cleaned the plate so we know it was realllll good. We also got the fried okra as an app for the table and we were all big fans. The sauce took them over the top on flavor. We have never had an issue with the service. They've always been communicative and friendly, offering great suggestions on the menu. I love the inside of the restaurant. I was hungry and didn't know what or where to eat, not like there is a lack of options, but did I want ramen or something more local in regional flare? I picked the second one. I ended up at Tupelo Honey because fresh southern fried chicken sounded amazing and this place wasn't going to break the bank. I guess this place is a chain but I didn't know this until I was eating. The staff were beyond friendly and attentive and they answered all of my questions about the food. The restaurant was super clean. I ended up ordering the half bird with original seasoning on it. The seasoning the put on it is a crystallized honey power and something else in it, it gives the chicken a nice sweet flavor but not overpowering. They also have a spicy version for you spice lovers. The half bird came with 4 pieces as one would expect, the crust was crispy and the chicken was awesome. I was eating the dark meat and couldn't get over how juicy it was. The real test as you all know is the breast, is that going to be dry? Nope, it was so moist and flavorful, it was a home run. I guess they brine their chicken for some good amount of time and it shows. My sides though I wish I would have gotten more adventurous, the meal came with two sides so I got a salad and the fried potatoes as a recommendation from the waitress. They were good but the mac n cheese looked better. Overall this place is great and I would go again. It's right downtown and the service was fast and friendly. Great place for some fried chicken .

We had already had "okay" Indian delivery from another place in town on Monday. My wife was shopping at a store in the plaza, so I decided to go check Persis out rather than wait outside a dressing room. Saw they had Masala Dosa on the menu and promptly forgot which store my wife was in. The masala dosa was amazing. Crisp on the ends, good flavor, the masala in the middle was just spicy enough and nicely done. The tomato chutney had nice spice, and the coconut chutney was good also. The sambar was probably the best I've had in my life. I probably would have fought you for it. The lady managing the place was outgoing and welcoming and chatted me up while I was there. She heard we were traveling and told us we should come back on Friday for the buffet. Unlimited dosa? I ain't dumb. We went back two days later as instructed. The buffet was large and had a great selection of veg and non-veg selections, as well as a dosa station. Here are my highlights: Tawa Vegetables- basically griddled seasoned veg mix. These were a stand out item for us. Simple veg but done really well. Eggplant with green chilis - this was suggested to be spicy, but I didn't find it to be so, and I'm a bit of a weenie. It had good flavor, and Baingan Bharta is my all time favorite, so it was fun to try a different yet similar dish. Veg Biryani - light and well cooked. I enjoyed it very much. Butter Chicken - Y'all, this might be the first time in my life I've seen someone make butter chicken with texture and richness to this level. When they say it's their signature dish, I understand why. The chicken was grilled and had *actual* char marks, giving it actual texture and flavor. The curry tasted amazing and had so much butter that it was richer than Jeff Bezos. I almost couldn't finish it because it was so rich, but Mama didn't raise a quitter. 10/10, would eat again right now. There was a fish dish that I didn't try and a Chana Saag I just never made room for. There were many choices across a wide swath of foods and flavors. The Chai they had was also excellent. Apparently they make their own Chai Masala rather than a mix. The staff was friendly and checked on us many times. Overall, 10/10 and would go back to Greenville just to eat here again.

For a price tag of $96, we received two pints of perfect sauces, one pint of steamed and 'ground to smoothness' spinach but that is where it stopped. There was hardly any paneer in the paneer tikka masala or saagwala paneer. I ended up roasting paneer at home to make the dishes presentation worthy and Malabar curry with mixed veggies was underwhelming as all we saw for veggies were a poor portion of frozen vegetables out of the grocery store's frozen aisle. What a let down for a hefty price. Disappointed. No pictures to post because I ended up cooking after paying that money.

I had in my head that this was a place where you could get a nice combo platter, but that's apparently only for lunch, so I had to pick one dish. I was quite happy with my selection though, with their interpretation of daal being a hearty, thick, if overly salty stew noticeably different in taste and texture than the Indian version I so often eat. It did not come with rice, but perhaps that was not so bad as ordering a naan turned out to be well worth it. A gigantic bread, it was delightfully charred on the outside and soft on the inside, and was just about right for mopping up a full plate of lentils. Adding a chai resulted in a cardamom-flavored beverage that wasn't particularly sweet. There were plenty of vegetarian selections that looked worthwhile based on what other tables ordered. I still wish I'd been able to sample more, but I was happy with what I got, and indeed I can't recall an Afghan restaurant I've been to with better-executed vegetarian dishes.
