This place is Amazing!!! Kim and Eddy really make it a pleasure to have a meal at Cafe on Trade. I had the Yougurt w granola fresh fruit and honey and it does not disappoint. Do not leave without trying their grits they are soooo tasty. Do yourself a favor and try this place u will not be sorry. Thank me later. Sorry no pic this trip I ate it all so quick. Stopped in here for breakfast while in Greer. Did not realize they didn't open until 9ish (according to their sign). We killed some time walking around and they opened a few minutes after 9. Unique location -- right in the middle of a clothing shop! You seat yourself and waitress brought us menus immediately. I ordered the omelette with basil, tomato and mozzarella. Holy cow, the omelette was huge and fillings were plentiful. Flavor was amazing-- like eating a margherita pizza. Grits were phenomenal as well -- super creamy. Everything was hot hot hot -- grits came in a styrofoam container and I had to pour them out on my plate because they weren't cooling. Service was friendly. Prices are good. I do wonder if they put flour in their omelettes -- they seemed too fluffy and big to just be egg. Pay at the counter and you're on your way. read more

Stopped by for a quick brunch with my family before I left town and we really enjoyed ourselves. There was a good amount of street parking available, I was able to snag one right across the street, and had a short walk to the restaurant. Once inside, I really enjoy the Downtown Greer atmosphere--the shops and the Cafe on Trade Restaurant! Our table of 4 was quickly seated, greeted, and served water. Our server introduced herself and gave us a few moments to review the menu. For a quick appetizer, we split the quiche as a table and then we ordered entrees. I went with the Fried Bologna sandwich and it was delicious! Around the table, my family all decide on the breakfast bowl. We all really enjoyed our food and service. The only thing we weren't a fan of were the dogs being in the dining area and seeing servers pet/serve the dogs...we were hopeful they would go to the back and wash their hands but we weren't able to see this step happen. We don't mind the dogs being around but not a fan of the servers interacting with the dogs. read more

This is such a cute little set up. Nestled between shops for everyone and has a nice "welcome all and come as you are" feel. They have 3 rules: if you're in a hurry don't eat eat there. Like who you're sitting with, because you're going to wait. And finally, pay at the counter, if you forget to pay, come back and pay your bill. I orders the western omelet and it was HUGE. Someone else in my party got the yogurt parfait and it looked like homemade yogurt, I was a little jealous. I don't think we waited that long for service and I enjoyed sitting around talking. Great breakfast in a unique atmosphere. Set in an active clothing store this is a charming small restaurant with yummy food. The grits are a highlight---super creamy and they don't need anything else to doctor them up. Omelets are huge (see picture) reasonable prices as well. read more

Such a unique place - with really really good breakfast. My son and daughter-in-law are moving to the area and had ate here once already and enjoyed it; so the 4 of us went for breakfast. They were a bit busy and the wait staff apologized for being short-staffed but honestly we couldn't tell it. They were very attentive and quirky funny and very friendly. And then when the food came out - WOW. We ordered 4 different things: omelet, biscuits and gravy, egg bowl, and egg sandwich in a hole. All 4 were amazingly GREAT. If we were not so busy moving them into their house, we'd loved to have gone back for lunch. We will be back! read more

We had their mozzarella basil and tomato omelette and a side of ham. Huge serving. My husband and I shared. The food was great, but took 45 minutes to get your food so do come for anything quick here. The staff was nice and showed me where an outlet was if my laptop died. Absolutely recommend Cafe on Trade! The staff is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. Warning: do not go if you are in a rush. It does take some time, but it's the perfect spot to go if you want time to visit as well. The food was incredible!!!! Others said the grits were some of the best they've ever had. long wait, bad food. the people are nice enough but the ham seems store bought and super squishy and the French toast tastes raw and squishy. just over all bad. also we waited for like 30 minutes some guy ordered and got his food in like 10. were brown he's white. okay thanks don't eat here bye. read more
