The food tasted fresh and we didn't wait long. There was plenty of seating. My husband enjoyed the Caesar Salad and I had the Vegetarian Bowl, both large enough to share. read more

I must say the customer service is spot on. That carried the weight of my 3 stars. I can't teal it complain about anything but I can't really compliment much. It was just a basic visit for me. The yuca I was most excited for but it was sad compared to what I make at home. The rice lacked flavor and the chicken was basic. The price was a little much I feel like. I wish the sides would have been better and the seasoning was on point. My kids enjoyed it well the chicken which was nice. There is plenty of parking and options to choose from. read more

Tropical Grille - Carne Asada Bowl - Salad Near Me - Greenville, South Carolina

My wife and I had the South of the Border Bowl. First, I need to compliment the young man at the register. Being a first-time visitor, he described the menu items and helped us order something suitable for us seniors. The food was quite good, and the price seemed appropriate to us. I would characterize the cuisine as similar to Chipotle, though the dishes were pre-made. Nothing fancy here, but we will return. read more

We were in search of a good burger and we found one at Tropical Grille. The burger I ordered had pineapple on it and it was surprisingly tasty. read more

I've been here several times (lunch and dinner) since it's opened so obviously I like it. The food is always hot and the chicken is very delicious. LOVE the jalapeño sauce. The staff is always friendly and welcome you when you enter. There are a few large (6 to 8) tables available so this place is good for groups. I'll be back! read more

Tropical Grille - Large classic with cheese - Salad Near Me - Greenville, South Carolina

Credit to the awesome staff at work today at our visit. They were in high spirits and made us feel awesome coming in! We were tired and a skosh hangry, but we left delighted! Food was also awesome! Tried the palomilla with shrimp (a must) and the my wife the steak sandwich. Amazing. Restaurant was clean and the ambiance friendly and bright as expected from a Tropical Grille. Well managed location~ read more

Excellent!! It was so good I came to eat here 3 days in a row for lunch. You get every dollar worth in this place because they serve that plate with love. I literally had extra food for dinner with every entree I purchased. I ordered the south of the border bowl and I ordered the Palomilla steak bowl. They were both delicious. Had all the perfect flavors. You have to try it out. Service was quick and the employees are nice too. read more

My brother, Jonivan brought me here to try a healthy food joint that he pretty frequents. I got the South of the border wrap and man, it was delicious with the cilantro lime sauce. Jonivan got the Cuban bowl and I had a chance to taste it. It was delicious as well. At that time, I preferred his meal than mine. LOL! Too funny. I do love that they played Christian music. I would return again and order what my brother got. read more

I've loved the family meal deals from Tropical Grille long before takeout became most restaurants' serving method. It's a great option for serving a group but awesome to feed an individual or couple for multiple meals (the way the items are packaged separately produce a lot of packaging waste but offer convenience of building your own servings). The family meal for four is a large serving of chopped chicken and allows you to choose four sides, four sauces and a 2 liter soda. The chopped chicken is served fresh and flavorful, always really juicy and tender enough to be reheated the next day without worrying over it being tough or dry. You can choose white, brown or yellow rice. I love the black beans which definitely have a spicy Cuban flavor but pair perfectly with the chicken and rice. The veggies (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) were cooked perfectly with steamed tenderness paired with a grilled crunch. The yuca fries are kind of like wedge potatoes, but almost more bland? Not in a bad way though - they're delicious just not strongly flavored! I highly recommend the baked sweet plantains whether you choose them as a side or add them on as a dessert. Picture attached to my review shows the small portion (perfect for 2-3 people) but they also offer a large serving. These plantains are similar to caramelized bananas and every bit is just melt in your mouth amazing! Last but not least, they have a lot of sauce options! Luckily you get to choose four with the meal deal so you can try a few out, but the sour cream sauce and guava bbq are my faves. Also got the salsa and sweet & sour this most recent visit. Every sauce I've ever tried has been tasty! read more

We used DoorDash to delivery food from the Tropical Grill on Woodruff Road, see attached. The Cuban Chop was mostly correct, although I was never certain that the protein was pork, I think it was but based on the flavor it could have been chicken. The Yuca Fries were cut too thick and had zero seasoning...ugh. The Classic Chop regular is the reason for One Star (otherwise it would have been Three Stars). We ordered the Chicken Chop with Cauliflower rice, mild salsa, beans, corn and no sauce. What was delivered was a big serving of yellow rice and some chopped chicken and that was it....not even close! Will not order from them again, that is for sure. read more

Tropical Grille - Tropical Grill order 05/30/20 - Salad Near Me - Greenville, South Carolina

I've been enjoying the new location. I recommend the cuban pork bowl with yellow rice, but everything I've tried on the menu is good. Don't miss the sauces! They have a loyalty program through MobileBytes that gives you a free bowl for every $40 you spend. Just scan your receipt into the app after purchase. read more

This was my first visit to a Tropical Grille, which advertises themselves as a healthy fast food alternative. This location was new and clean. Overall the service was good and our order came quickly. When we paid with credit card, we were prompted to tip even though there isn't any sort of table service. This always mildly irritates me. My only other complaint was they appeared to only have one high chair. Another baby came while my child was using it, and they had to wait for us to finish up. The food itself was good for fast food, and I think worth the price. The pork in the Cuban roasted pork bowl was tender and flavorful, but otherwise nothing exciting. The south of the border bowl was also pretty good, though not particularly unique. However for a fast food experience, these did the job quite nicely. read more

I love tropical grille. I love that the food is fresh and healthy. The service is always wonderful! I love their choice of music. It's always playing softly in the background! Anytime I have friends visiting from out of state, this is one of the staples I take them. Anyone i have taken there loves tropical Grille and always asks to go next time they are in town! I also love how this company started. What a great story! read more

Tropical Grille - Menu - Salad Near Me - Greenville, South Carolina

been visiting Tropical Grill for years and never been too disappointed yesterday was a different experience. I ordered 2 large fries and when they brought them out, the only thing large about them were the containers. normally one large fry equ the amount we were given yesterday. so we ordered a small fry and I believe there were more fries in the small than the large. very disappointing and will no long leave a tip when I do decide to go back. read more

I went for lunch and had the Classic Bowl with chicken and yellow rice. The girls at the counter were nice and friendly. The food was good, produced quickly and plentiful for the money. The food reminded me of a popular dish I had while staying in Puerto Rico. I plan on going back! read more

We've eaten dine-in at several Tropical Grille locations over the years, so I decided to have them cater my wife's 60th birthday party for 21 adults and 6 kids. The price was reasonable and everything was ready on time and well packaged for travel. Everything was delicious, the chicken was warm and juicy and all the guests LOVED the food and sauces. On top on everything else, the package included decent sized serving spoons and tongs, along with plates, cups, napkins and forks. Truly, everything we needed to focus on time together with great friends and food with almost no time in the kitchen! Tropical Grille gets my highest possible recommendation- try them! read more

What happened to this place? It used to be good. They used to actually grill the chicken...on a grill. Now they just cook it on a flat top. I got to go food on my birthday. Spent the whole next week recovering from food poisoning from this place. Talk about going down hill. read more

Love them! The Chicken Fresco Bowl is my favorite, with onions and cilantro and try the Cucumber Garlic sauce! It's so yummy!

They have some good and very healthy options on the menu. The only reason that I don't go more often is because it's about an hour drive from my house. They are supposed to be building one in my city which is great. One of the best things about them is that you get as much dip/sauce as you want. read more

Whether we are eating dinner taking out we are always so impressed with the food and the service. We all love the Cuban steak sandwich as well as the bowls. The staff is always super helpful and quick. Love the music that they play inside the restaurants. We have been to all locations in the upstate and each one of them, while it has its own unique look and feel, never disappoints! Family-owned business that is doing it right!! read more

Ordered online for me to pick up on Friday during my lunch break. Walked into the restaurant it's total chaos. There is no one monitoring "suicidal" social distance. I had to butt into line just to see where pickups get in line. From there I had to wait 5 mins to be told that my order online was not consistent with the website. I asked for a refund and He tried to offer me something else. First off I'm a customer who already paid for my food before entering your establishment. Second of all I don't settle for suggestions when I ordered what I preferred. Lastly, I had to leave without being satisfied and getting rude. I will NEVER eat with this establishment ever again, as I have eaten here and the other locations in the upstate sc region. Look guys, Holy Molli is right across the street just beyond the fresh market. They are convenient and efficient. This experience has ruined every visit to tropical grille. Patronize where you're satisfied beyond expectations. Service is not a priority with this chain. I hate I had to give them 1 star. read more

We recently used the Tropical Grille on Woodruff Rd in Greenville, SC for a catering meal. The food was excellent! So delicious and nutritious and everyone who ate it agreed. Dealing with Albert and Shannon was very agreeable. They both were knowledge and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dining in or catering. read more

Shannon the manager has zero customer service skills and needs to be trained in delivering the best service and not be so cold and DEMAND something so unreasonable. Our church just spent mega bucks with a catering order with a different location. All this girl did was, to distrust what I said and turned it into a negative experience. No smile, no warm welcome from this girl. Keep your day job. read more

Ordered the Cuban pork bowl. Served with about 2 oz of pork. Very disappointed. They also failed to put my sauces in the bag.

We recently moved to Virginia after living in SC for the past few years. Tropical Grille was by far our favorite place to eat while living there.
