I placed a catering order for my mother's 80th birthday party. If I could give Caesars 10 stars, I would. The food quality, the portions, the customer service, the communication, everything was amazing. My family is still talking about it and it's been almost a month since the party. We will be back for more family events.

Mediterranean Trio, not what I though

So my first question is, why do they call the lamb/beef meat, Gyro? And I thought humas had olive oil not vegetable oil on it. I tried this place due to the closeness to the shop and it was not what I expected. The kitchen staff did not wear any gloves when the prepared the food and they were going from one location to another in the open prep area. No one was in the prep area when I walked in and it had food pieces all over it. When more customers arrived, two other kitchen staff began helping the one individual working but neither of them put gloves on. The food was tasty but the chicken was somewhat dry and burnt and the tzatziki was weak on flavor and nothing like the flavors I enjoyed when I lived in Greece. I hope they get better and improve on food prep hygiene.

This was my first time here for lunch. Was meeting with the small group of ladies from last year's Essential discipleship program to meet up and fellowship. There were four of us. Yet it wasn't the first time having Caesar Mediterranean Grill's food. Our church had them cater for our celebration dinner, and I am glad or I would not have known about them. Ironically, they are in the same strip of businesses that I have frequented but located in the center whereas The Lazy Chicken and Crave Coffee are at the far end where I normally park. It's great to see more Mediterranean food restaurants appearing around the Greenville area since decades ago there were only two and one on the other side of town. Two of us arrived early as we had planned to meet at Noon but my car had a 11:30 appointment with AAA auto so I had a chance to get a walk in to work up my appetite! Was pleasantly surprised to see one friend already there when I arrived early. She saw my text that I would be coming early and decided to grab a table for us. It was in the corner and good view of people entering. I should have asked her if she had gotten the menus since they were at our table. We were catching up, and the owner)manager came up to us to check on us and knew we were waiting on others, but that we would come up to the register to place our orders. After the other two arrived and we did our hugs, we thought it best to order. I was heading into a rescheduled treatment immediately after this lunch and been working on increasing my protein so I ordered the gyro pita which has both beef and lamb meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and definitely tzatziki!! I had the side salad with it. I already had my gigantic water bottle so didn't order a drink. What I liked about this method of placing your order right at the counter/register is first it helps the restaurant situation of not needing a host/hostess and designated waitstaff. You see signs or hear stories of restaurants (and even fast food joints) not being able to hire enough people and yet, the cost associated with keeping a restaurant going is a challenge for especially small local restaurants. Second, it's obvious when you are ready to eat as we came up to order, and felt no pressure to order immediately (or leave quickly when our plates were done). Though no specific labels on the menu, there would be some vegetarian and could have vegan options. Do note, majority of dishes had meat and/or feta cheese, but one could build a meal out of some of the appetizers like hummus, dolmades (grape leaves filled with rice, tomatoes and Mediterranean herbs), falafel (deep fried chickpea blended with herbs), and Greek salad. There could also be two menu items from the Pita Wrap section (Falafel and Veggie but with request to not have feta cheese) along with two options from their Entree section and both of those happened to be selected from two of my friends and shown in the photos: Dolmades Platter and the Jerusalem Veggie Plate. And the remaining friend had ordered the Chicken Zorba. The place is casual, welcoming. I like how the dining area is up front of the restaurant and yet still semi private so you can enjoy who you are eating with. There was another table filled (maybe a couple) when I walked in. Though the dining place isn't large, there were spaces between the tables. I suppose if you had a group, they may allow you to move the tables together. I also cannot recall if there was music playing but liked the fact that we weren't trying to yell above any noticeable music. My gyro was tasty enough. Hey, my taste buds are messed up for those who've seen any writeups I have done in the past 9 months due to chemo. Initially I figured it was chancy to have pita since any type of bread carbs , my past pleasures, would be yucky with no taste. . .since things taste bland for me . . Yet the taztiki added moisture (I used plenty of napkins) which I appreciate. Our dishes were brought out to us, and if any of them wanted refills on their drinks, they could go up to the fountain drink machine. I like these small local restaurants, with good food, friendly people. I saw several plaques for Let There Be Mom on their window ledge which means they've existed before the pandemic and survived, which I'm really glad. As I would definitely return and quite confident I will be. I wish I spent some time talking with the manager as I would have loved to find out what options could be gluten free besides the salad so my husband could eat here. He meets up with people a bunch and he's usually eating at the same places. So if the gyro and other meats are marinated and/or cooked without gluten, he could and would want that! Caesars Mediterranean Grill is off of Butler Road (towards Woodruff Road side of Mauldin). This strip complex actually sits at the intersection of Butler and Verdin - not too far from Mauldin Elementary/Middle School.

We got some takeout from here, we normally go to the greek place by Sprouts, but my wife and her parents had eaten here before the pandemic. So we decided we would try it. It did not disapoint. I got the Mediterranean trio the portions were large and everything tasted great. Im not a lover of chicken breast, but the chicken was moist and delicious. We're glad this small business is still around, we try to go to them if were eating out as opposed to more commercial places. 5 stars for this place, we will eat here again.

The lady started friendly but seemed cold when I looked at iPad to review the bill. We ordered 2 sandwiches- 1 gyro and 1 shawarma. It CLEARLY on the menu says it comes with a side of fries, Greek salad, hummus, pita etc. Nowhere does it mention an up-charge for anything. I saw it said +$2.50 for each of the sides we asked for with the sandwich. I questioned this and she gave me a face like "how dare I question?" And just said "nothing is included with Sandwich, even fries". It literally contradicts what is on the menu! She said she'll tell her manager. Anyway- that was weird. Also, on the mixed grille it came with the tiniest pieces of pita, almost offensive, given the price. The entrance feels nicer for a take out place with the fake plants on the walls, but the back is closed off and the bathroom is dirty. Overall, I'd really only go for take out. And know they're cheap and will nickel and dime you.

Love absolutely everything about this place!…read more I got the middle eastern plate with gyro and my friend got the beef shawarma plate and we both thoroughly enjoyed both. Super flavorful and the hummus was phenomenal. We also got their homemade lemonade and it was 10/10. Service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. We stopped by on our way to ATL for an early lunch and to try this famous spot known for big and fresh flavor. We got there a bit before everything was available but we still opted for the beef plate with humus, vegetables, fresh potatoes bread and a salad. The pita bread was hot out of the oven and was amazing alone or wrapped around tender well seasoned beef and hummus. The gentlemen that took our order was so kind to answer all of our questions and tell us about the family business, and recommend mint tea and spices to try. He even gave us a dessert to try, cashew fingers! Very delicious and light. When we finished and started to leave, I pulled out a few dollars for a tip. The older gentleman stopped by the table and insisted we not leave a tip and was happy we enjoyed the food. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and to say hello to this amazing family owned business.

I was reluctant to buy into the hype... however, it's WELL deserved. The service and selection was stellar. You will hear people rave over the goat cheese balls. Their reputation proceeds them, but honestly, I don't think that they are a "must order". I had many other dishes there that are far more worth ordering, such as... *The Lamb (starter) * Brussels Sprouts * Tahini Caesar The Wine list is very extensive, and access to a top-tier sommelier is great. We absolutely adored our server, Nicolas who made our experience as fun, festive, and informative as could be! My only "note" to management would just be that besides the natural setting (the perfect Reddy River), the indoor ambience is SO lackluster. The restaurant could really stand to have an aesthetic revamp. And I hate to comment on the interior of the restrooms since it is seemingly so obsolete to "restaurant review," but I simply feel compelled to comment. The restrooms are barely a step up from a public pool/beach bathroom shack. Too harsh? No, must be said. Nonetheless, I cannot wait to come back and highly recommend everyone try this GEM of a restaurant (just pee before;)
