I've been wanting to try this place for a while and decided it was a great time after getting my hair done one evening. The restaurant was larger than I thought it would be and it was comfortable and roomy. The menu had so many great options to choose from. We started with a Hummus platter and then I went with the Chicken Yianni and hubby had Chicken Corfu. The side salad that came with my meal was so delicious too. I was told the prices here were high but the portions are generous and the food is quality! Also the bread rolls and garlic butter they bring out complimentary are delicious and addictive. First thing I noticed was the smell. It was delicious!! Service was great and very fast. The complementary bread is baked in house, served warm, and amazingly fluffy! Arrived just after five for an early dinner. Seated promptly at a booth. The restaurant also has four tops and larger tables. The restaurant has a black ceiling and darker brown furnishings. Something brighter would be more appealing. Hot bread and butter arrived without prompting. The two sided menu has something for everyone. When asked, the server touted a couple chicken entrees, the salmon, fries, lasagna and the Hamburger. There's also pizza, blackened shrimp, deli sandwiches, Chicken Marsala and much more. We had the salmon and chicken souvlaki. We also had a side salad, broccoli and fries. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The gyro was plentiful and the grilled chicken was moist. The fries are steak fries. I'm not a fan of steak fries. I much prefer thinner fries. If you want a salad, the side salad is well large enough to be split between two. We really enjoyed the House Special Pizza here. There were a number of dishes on the menu that sounded good, but we had a taste for pizza and were really glad that is what we ordered. I was surprised by the number of Italian dishes on the menu, since the name definitely suggested Greek to me. I saw from the About Us page on their website, though, that they do specialize in both Italian and Greek food. If their Italian offerings can be judged by the quality of their pizza, then I'm really looking forward to trying some more of those! There seem to be a lot of "New York" style pizza places around here. That style of crust never really appealed to me, though. The Olympian's crust is much more to my liking - super crisp, but still with a bit of a chewiness. It was terrific! The toppings were not so overloaded that you couldn't pick up a piece without risking a landslide on your lap. Just the right proportions of everything. Although I admit that we have a relatively small sample size so far, the Olympian's pizza has been the best we've tried since moving to Simpsonville. Other than the food..? Service was good. Just went back so I can update and decidedly to order cheeseburgers. How can you mess up a cheeseburger I thought? You can when you over cook them so they are dry and no cheese. The steak fries were good. I have tried several different items over the years as friends want to meet there but I cringe every time. I like good food made well. Some people except anything. It's been awhile since I've been to Olympian Grille. We used to eat here perhaps a few times a year when our kids were younger and lived at home. Great for families since a wide enough selection on menu that kids would eat as there are burgers, yet I always order the gyro sandwich. I've been here with just Honey as it's one of the few, nonpizza sit-down restaurant in the Five Forks area back in the days . . But that was then, this is now Yet I came and met a friend for lunch and because I needed to be back home for a meeting, she opted for Olympian Grille since we were also talking about nutrition and diet for thyroids, and she was looking for a place with salads . . . Umm, aren't salads what you eat before the meal? We were meeting at 11 am and I suppose, they don't open the doors until 11 am. We were both sitting in our cars texting each other not realizing we were both early in the parking lot but watching the ever-growing crowd of elderly women gathering at the door. Let this be proof that it's NOT women who are the cause for couples arriving late . . . She and I were early, and all of those other women were early for their lunch dates and in case people were wondering, there was no special early bird or ladies lunch deal going on. It's simply wonderful to just be able to jump in the car and meet up with friends, not, having to pack a diaper bag, or write the many what-if emergency phone numbers or worst case scenario for the babysitter . . We weren't really told anything so as the big crowd of ladies went into the back room, those party animals, we went to sit at a booth, and those booth chairs are still as worn down with the rump ruts as before, or maybe more by now. . . I had my laptop to view her lab results (I am not a doctor, just a geek who loves data) and discovered there was no free wifi but at least I had already downloaded. Our server came, gave us our menu, took our drink (water order) and asked what we wanted to order . . Whoa, Bessie, it takes me that much time to put on my glasses . . Oh, and her name is not Bessie, or maybe but she never introduced herself . . She was very sweet, and we learned she just finished her freshman year of college. I can give you more details as apparently I can get people to share lots of themselves EXCEPT their name . But, I ended up getting the Gyro sandwich, didn't I say always?! With the fries . . . No judgement . . And my friend had salad with gyro meat on top as she learned she need those proteins! I'll be honest, the fries with the best part of the meal. The gyro meat was not real tender and though she brought the sauce to dip in, it wasn't that real mouthwatering tender meat. Our glasses were refilled once and was then given our checks. The food was okay, the service was fair but she was friendly though slightly reserved There are lots of options, including pizza, hamburger, and several types of salads If you have a big group, this may be an ideal spot if you don't need it to be fancy. And if you are looking for some side job, they have hiring signs on the door. I hope it's not the same sign as when my middle was looking for a job when she was in high school . . . Met my dad here for lunch, as he works relatively close by. Our server was a great lady (forgot her name), who was jovial and personable. They were out of a few things we wanted to order, which was a little frustrating. The food was pretty typical Greek/Italian fare that you find pretty much everywhere. We tried the spinach dip, which was pretty tasty. I got a gyro wrap, which was a little less flavorful than I would've liked, but not terrible for the price. Over several years we have both dined here and called for takeout. Like the reviews suggest, some experiences have been good, others not so much. The one consistent thing is generous portions- you always get more than one meal out of an entree. Last night our take-out was the worst we've had. While the Chicken Parmesan was as expected ($16- plenty of breaded chicken topped with mozzarella over spaghetti with house made sauce), the Fettuccine Alfredo was literally inedible. Specifically, instead of Alfredo sauce, it was paste- the texture closer to something you'd use in art class in elementary school. The pasta was so overcooked it was mush. Two bites and we tossed it directly in the trash. At $16, a tremendous waste of money. The host that took our order over the phone forgot to ask whether we wanted spaghetti sauce or marinara, but she did at least call back to confirm. No need to rush back here, though it is very convenient to Five Forks. read more

I'm really disappointed to see they printed a new menu with a fancy new logo and jacked up their prices without actually elevating anything else. This used to be a great place to gather, eat and drink in five forks with reasonable prices. Now unfortunately we will be looking for a new spot. I'm sorry $17 for eggplant parmesan that isn't hand breaded No way, $15 for a cheeseburger that isn't even handmade and $13 for basic restaurant depot mozzarella sticks. We moved into the Five Forks area nearly 5 years ago. We hadn't tried Olympian Grill as there were a lot of new restaurants for us to experience. Greenville has many quality restaurants and getting better everyday. We had heard that Olympian was really good a few years back, but kind of lost it way for providing good food. Then we heard they got it back together. So being close to our home we thought we'd give it a try. I'm here to you you the food and atmosphere are perfect for us. They are Greek and Greeks can cook, and we love this place. We go here often because the food is outstanding, the service and atmosphere meet our expectations without question. Say hi to April behind the bar! She will make you feel right at home. Olympian Grill is now at the top of our list when we want good food priced reasonably and convenient to us here in Five Forks. This place is so bad. We went here a few years ago when still kind of new to five forks and weren't impressed. Everything was average at best and service was slow. Decided to give it another shot the other day. Looked for the healthiest thing on the menu... and if you care about what you're ingesting you might have a problem finding something to eat here. I ordered the Shrimp and Asparagus dinner. Average price of a dinner plate like this - $20. It arrived slathered in butter juice and there were only about 6 or 7 pieces of shrimp on the plate. The entire plate was just melted butter. The "rice pilaf" tasted like it came out of a box... but they were trying to mask that flavor by letting it swim in the butter. They could have done better with the asparagus using microvable steam bags from Costco. No joke - that asparagus is 100% better than what they served me. Green string. The appetizer was ok, but hard to screw up what appeared to be prepackaged items assembled into a dish. Amazing how five forks doesn't really have a quality restaurant. read more

The large All Meat Pizza at Olympian was fantastic and is one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life, seriously awesome.

Had a fantastic experience for lunch here. The environment was clean, and quiet with some nice elegant music. The service was fast, and food was hot and fresh. We got the souvlaki, manestra, and a veggie calzone and it was all excellent. The owner greeted us and helped us with our meal. Overall, a great experience. read more

We eat here quite often. Food is always good. Service is marginal at times. We had to clear our own table after we finished eating the last time we were there. Typically servers take the dirty dishes away before bringing the check. Nice variety of Italian and Greek dishes. We've tried lots of different foods - all very good. I am from Europe and we do eat a lot of Greek food in Greek Restaurants, owned by Greek and the Chef is Greek. I can tell you that this restaurant is the best Greek Restaurant I eat in here in America, and I travelled through all States and eat there as well. This Greek Chef and the Greek owner are making the best greek food ever, especially the Lamb Chops. You have to try every item on the menu because you will be glad you did, because is so good, that you can't stop eating. And I promise, you will go back for more. read more

The food was amazing but our server, Wanda N, not at all! She took our order and we told her separate checks, she again asked us if together and we told her again separate. Our food come out and we asked for more bread which she plopped down on table and walked away. She never came by to check on us. I waved down the hostess to get drink refills never even saw her around to flag her down. Had to get another server to get us to go boxes. Then she came by after we had our boxes and asked if we needed boxes. She gave us one check, together. We told her again separate. She comes back and didn't even have our tickets correct, didn't know what we had. She came across as annoyed we were there. We took tickets to counter and was told she had to correct it and ring us out. She was still putting wrong items on our tickets. So disappointed.
