Best pizza is Woodruff and they load on their toppings. I love the chicken wings, Chicken Souvlaki and thir steak combo sub, delish!

We are from Northeast Ohio and find pizza in the South lacking. In terms of availability in Woodruff, Demeter's is the best. I have also had their meatball sub which is good, and my wife enjoys their salads. The restaurant is small, but clean. During our first visit we felt the server was a bit rude, but as we made return trips, we find the help to be quite friendly and efficient. One oddity is that Demeter's is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This strikes me as a bit strange for a pizza restaurant. read more

Food is great if you could ever get them to answer the phone for a pick up order. More than once have tried to call to place an order and get there to get the excuse "well we got really busy". No apology, and the dining room had maybe 10 people in it. The last time this happened apparently they were "busy" and they chose to take the phone off the hook so the line was busy and no one could call in to place an order. The young people they have at night really don't care about keeping that business running and it shows. read more

To keep this short, this place absolutely friggin blows! The food is far from scratch made or authentic, but the quality if horrible. First, the gyro is soggy, with store bought meat and tzatziki sauce and literally wilted brown lettuce. The BLT was served on a roll, and not white bread or toast, but the pizza is atrocious. It would barely be acceptable if it were being served to a 3rd grader from the school cafeteria. even the fries which we ordered extra crispy, were soggy! That's all we ordered, and it was over $26.00... FOR THAT?!?!?! Way overpriced for such garbage! Come on guys, step up your game, and the place wouldn't be so empty at dinner time on a Friday night! This place is a hit & miss. There use to be very little to choose from in this town so I think they must think it's ok to cut corners not apologize for poor quality lately. We eat here often (say weekly) but after tonight it will stop. I keep getting straight from fryer foods onto direct styrofoam which sticks to the food & is unsafe for anyone who knows anything about the food industry. I called to complain twice now and nothing was done to make things right. No offer to replace it, speak to a manager or make real changes. I've asked them for months to put something between the food & foam, yet they still do it. This shows they don't care & cut corners. Also, the menu is all over the place. They have Greek food, Italian, American etc. The Italian food 100% needs to be removed from the menu. Some of the food is good yes, but due to poor customer service to prove a point, I will purposely spend my money elsewhere. read more

$30 for two plates of spaghetti. For $15 a plate you get a bunch of noodles and barely any sauce. If you don't pay attention when they're ringing you up owner will add on extra fees or up charge the price always ask for your receipt here. read more

I have been to Demeter's a number of times. I have always enjoyed the food, and the wait staff. I was there one time when a family had ordered dip for chips. The waitress has told them it was very hot. They didn't wait for it to cool down, but put it in front of the 18 month(?) little girl, to show their friends how she would dip. You guessed it. She pulled it over on herself, and started to cry. The family was berating , and threatening lawsuits for the waitress giving that hot dip to a baby. The staff was still very polite and solicitous. Never once pointing out that it was the parents who had put it in front of her, after being warned that it was hot. read more

The decor could be updated, but the food is excellent! I have had a variety of things on the menu, and I've enjoyed them all. I am picky about Greek dressings, but theirs is definitely one of my top picks. The owner is also really sweet and friendly! read more

The food and waitress were phenomenal. We all got calzones that were out of this world! Now the guy (I'm assuming was the owner) could not understand how to split our ticket. He was off his rocker! My brother in law told him 4 times what he had to eat and he still messed it up. We told him 4 times and the waitress told him twice as well. We love this place. The food is great. We go almost every week. If not dine in, it is take out. It is my families go to. As far as everybody saying they are Rude..... Well they are kind to the ones that are kind to them. They are Greek. They have a different attitude than Americans do. Same with Germans and many others. I am always very courteous to them and have never been treated any different. I have seen them be rude but it was always when the customer was rude to them first. Some people you can never please, those are not the customers they not want as repeats so they do not Coddle anyone. They are not entitled people. They have worked for what they have. They do not cater to the entitled. I am speaking for the owners and the regular staff that has been there many years. They may have had a bad seed in the bunch for a short time. That is just like any other job of any kind. They are hard working efficient and have an amazing ability to cook many dishes that are delicious. The price and quality of food is great. read more

What a find in woodruff. Best homemade meatball sub and chicken parmesan sub. Great marina sauce. Dessert of chocolate cake is huge. Prices are wonderful. Service great. You must try this place. We will return. read more

I have given this place 3 chances, food and service horrible each time! 3rd time I ordered a burger & fries thinking it was a safe bet that it would be edible, wrong! My burger went home to the dogs after one bit, fries were almost as cold as the waitress. She made it clear that it was quite the inconvenience to wait on us and never checked back for drink refills or anything. Not much choice in a small town, but I still can't figure out how this place stays in business. The service staff is rude, not a friendly soul here. The food is mediocre on a good day. read more

I agree with Diane H. on her review I hate Demeters and dread it if anyone mentions going there not only is the waitstaff rude but the owner is as well...I would rather dumpster dive behind the little Caesar's for a meal and I know the service would be better too. read more
