Food was good service with Christina was excellent. The restaurant is very heavy with oil, especially on salads. We requested a specific table and had notes in our reservation that was booked almost a month in advance - none of them were noted or read, which made checking in awkward. We were told we had to be done at our table in 90 minutes due to the restaurants oversight. Mind you, it was mostly empty the whole time we were there. I scouted the location prior to my visit, as the lamb lollipops and the escargot caught my eye. However, upon my arrival, I discovered that the majority of the menu were small plated shareables. The space is small and if I'm not mistaken, one server covered the entire floor. She did a decent job managing, although she honestly admitted totally forgetting one item that I ordered. I ended up ordering the gnocchi, lamb chops, potato wedges, gambas (shrimp) and calamari. They let you know up front that the food comes out as it's prepared and not all together. Temperatures were hot and the flavors were OK. If you're looking for a spot to socialize over cocktails and small plates, this is a great spot. I walked by this restaurant so many times while I was staying at a hotel nearby, but I didn't see too many people inside. Of course, my instincts told me that maybe the food was not good. But I eventually looked it up and found out that the menu was very interesting, and I liked the idea that most of the dishes were shareable. That evening, everywhere else was super busy, but they were not. The service was very good and very fast. The food turned out to be excellent. The chef put a lot of thought and effort into each dish. They were made with really fresh ingredients and the spices and flavors were just right. I couldn't think of anything bad to say about this place. Came here for a friends birthday, we had a group of about 10 and received wonderful service. I'm not sure how she kept track of all the apps, mains and drinks but she was friendly and efficient throughout our dinner. A lot of our group got the charcuterie which I thought was very small for the price but nice that you could build your own. I got the filet which was amazing, super flavorful and fresh. Again, the portion was a 6oz cut of meat and sides were very small so it wasn't a lot of food for the money but I did enjoy it very much. Would go back to try more dishes. read more

I tried Curean for the first time and it blew me away. I shared many small plates with my group. We each had our favorites but we all thought that the shaved asparagus salad was amazing. My new go to for date night, girls night, solo night. Etc. this is one of the few restaurants in Greenville, South Carolina, that really fosters an element where you can eat solo either at the bar, or at a table and feel completely fine, so kudos to them for having a cozy and comfortable ambience. Now for the food! We tried many things and all were tasty. My only comment was about the oysters Rockefeller, they were more creamy than a traditional Rockefeller but still tasty. If I had to pick one thing to focus on, and narrow it down to two items and pick the charcuterie board and the potatoes, which really took me by surprise, but when paired with their aïoli, it was absolutely fantastic! Curean is good for a very special occasion-$$$$ The service was excellent, food was okay. The filet steak was a little tough although the lollipop lamb, olives and bread were very tasty. We were there over two hours due to the tapas way of serving. It definitely was a slow night but we did enjoy the quietness and were actually able to talk. Checked this new-ish restaurant in Greenville out last night. It was better than expected though the ambiance had a low-energy. The bar area was empty and servers made their own cocktails. Maybe that's intentional on their end, but it also meant there was a little wait for 4 drinks. We ordered the Banana Nut Bread Old Fashioned and it was delish! On the sweeter side so one is plenty to wet the pallet. Best on the menu is hands down the rigatoni. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection. The cheese spreads for the bread was flavorful and unique, and the tzatziki sauce complimented the potatoes perfectly. 4 out of 5 stars because something was just off and can't quite put my finger one it. OMG. This food was insanely good! My husband and I went last night for Restaurant Week - we had been wanting to try this restaurant out and I was not disappointed. We started out with an Old Fashion and a glass of Prosecco then ordered the Ricotta Gnochi, Butter Lettuce Salad with Pickled Peaches and grilled halloumi cheese; potato wedges with a lemon aioli, the 4 oz. filet, Za'atar carrots and lamb lollipops. We also had the bread tray and for dessert the Crunch Bar. Every single bite was fabulous - I especially like the lamb, cooked perfectly and the Za'atar carrots. Can't wait to go again! The oysters Rockefeller and lamb lollipops were outstanding, everything else was good, but not impressive. The service definitely has room for improvement. We received items we didn't order, we're charged for them and our checks had to be amended several times. The fritto misto has a iight batter and the accompanying preserved lemons were a nice touch. My husband had the lamb lollipops and said it was the best lamb he has ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed the bruleed bone marrow. I recommend adding toast points so you can soak up all the yumminess. The cocktails were well balanced and creative. Walking in we were greeted by friendly smiles. Since our entire party was vegetarian they were very accommodating to helping us pick and choose cheeses for our cheese board without using meet. They did not have very many entrees that were vegetarian friendly so the three of us shared the same meal. The Gnocchi was delicious although I wish there were more mushrooms. read more

We ate at Curean last night and I'm already ready to go back. The ambience was perfect. We sat at two bar seats, but there were a variety of seating options including a very swanky green curved booth near the window that would be perfect for a girl's night out. We got the lamb lollipops, halloumi, calamari, and a charcuterie board. You get to fill out a form and choose what you want on the board which we loved! The dipping sauce for the calamari was so good. The lamb lollipops were accompanied by a parsnip purée and it was honestly my favorite part of the whole meal. It was so so delicious! The service was fabulous. The drinks were great. I had an espresso martini (Say Expresso One More Time) and my husband had the New Fashioned. My martini had an orange zest on the top which made it different than the average espresso martini and it was delightful. I also had a glass of CityScape Winery Pineapple Riesling.
