This 1 star is not for the taste, but the service of the two young workers on this particular day. I urge management to review the cameras on 9/26 around 6:20-6:35pm. I came in and was behind a couple for several mins before I heard the male customer yell out "hello! Hello!" I looked up and asked had they been helped. He replied no. At this time another customer was behind me. I proceeded to call the number listed (apparently a cell number) no one answered. The man behind me called it as well. The first couple walked away. I saw two bags on a shelf and stated, someone has to be here. I then walked away to check out other restaurants. I was proceeding to walk out when I noticed the man that was behind me getting his order taken. I walked over and asked the young lady, where were you, we had been waiting about 10 mins. She didn't really reply. JUST MOMENTS LATER, a young man appears from the back and starts making orders. NOWWWWWW, I'm just talking about my thoughts at that moment and the other customer thought the same. We both looked at one another and said, we'll we know what was going on. Ive tried a few different restaurants bowls and Coco Bowlz is by far the best! It costs more than the others but the quality of flavor, freshness, and variety of toppings is worth it. They also offer smoothies and juices. My friend and I shared the acai bowl and it was enough for us both! If you're not super hungry you could try to share. The other version of dragonfruit was sold out, but I won't knock a star for that. The ratio of toppings to acai blend is great, others I've had are lacking toppings or have too much granola. The coconut whip topping is amazing! The goji berries are nice for health reasons and texture but don't add much in terms of flavor. read more

I am a fan of smoothies and fresh ingredients, so I had high hopes for Cocobowls. I have been to the Gather GVL location two times and the Haywood mall location once. The first time (at Gather GVL) I waited about 20 minutes for my smoothie which was actually pretty good. But I had about torn my hair out I was so hungry by the time it came. The second time was at the mall. The wait time was still pretty significant and the smoothie was not as good. This third visit (back at Gather) will be my last. While the wait was not long at all this time, the smoothie was awful. It was made with too much ice, not blended enough, and the flavor was lost because of all the ice. It tasted like cold, chunky, flavored water. I had asked for them to add kale but it came back looking very yellow. Not green at all. When I asked about the kale, he said they had added it. I asked them "How much to you put in there?" He showed me a scoop of powdered kale. It was maybe a half tablespoon? Definitely left me disappointed. I have not tried their bowls. You might have better luck with actual fruit. read more

If you ever want something sweet and healthy I would suggest this place. Every time I've been I enjoyed each bowl I've had. The staff of very friendly and helpful. You can also sub out different things if you don't like certain things for no extra charge. You can tell all the fruit is fresh there and the granola is so good. Not to hard and not to sweet either. Oh. Em. Gee. If you haven't had a smoothie bowl from cocobowlz then you are missing out big time. I think they are the best in town. I always get the fruitful acai smoothie bowl. It's topped with granola, kiwis, strawberries, goji berry, blue berries, and honey. I order it with the the plant based protein and coconut milk whipped cream. They used to have an option for pitaya as a base but they no longer carry it. But I still love that smooth and creamy bowl of their acai. It's a pretty large bowl which you can share with someone or just enjoy all by yourself. It's so good and delicious you'd feel like you're cheating on you healthy diet. I am so thankful that I experienced Coco Bowlz at the recommendation of a friend. The bowls are pretty pricey at $10-$11 a pop, but it's loaded with freshly cut-to-ordered fruit, granola, gogi berries, and more. I ordered the fruitful bowl and opted for a Nutella drizzle. It was extremely filling and I didn't have the urge to snack at 3pm as I normally do. I am actually arranging for them cater to our office next week ($28 service charge). I know my peeps will enjoy a healthy treat. One recommendation is to provide seating. We drove to the foodtruck and the bowls are not exactly driving friendly. Other than that..well worth the coins. I use to drive across town in Mt Pleasant to the surf shop after my favorite dragonfruit bowls truck stopped frequenting MUSC during lunch. I am sooo thrilled to know that I now have a similar place in my backyard that offers a surprise to the palette- cold, sweet and crunchy goodness. Healthy mounds of fruit of your choice, sweet drizzles of yumminess like honey and peanut butter and superfood toppings all with pitaya/dragonfruit perfectly blended beneath. So I have a love/hate relationship with this place. At the beginning when they opened I ate there almost every day even though their bowls are around $11. I didn't mind it because they were so good. Lately, I have been only going every once in a blue moon because of how disappointed I am every time. I work in the mall and obviously only have a certain amount of time for my break. Every time I place an order whether I be the only one in line or packed I have to wait at LEAST 10-15 minutes. For a smoothie bowl... it's so frustrating. They usually only have one employee which makes it hard to get to all customers and then also the more and more I go the less that they have been giving me. I usually don't make a fuss on portion but for $11? Yes, I better get what I pay for. The smoothie bowl in the picture was $11 and it BARELY is even at the top of the bowl. You can even see inside the bowl that there are empty spaces. I won't be going back AT ALL until the service changes. They cheat you, and you have to wait forever for just one item whether it be a smoothie or bowl. PLEASE fix this because if not, you've lost my business. read more

This is my favorite açaí bowl place ever. The bowls are delicious and there's plenty of options to choose from. Usually bowls have at least one ingredient I don't like, but I just order it anyway. Cocobowlz has the best selection in my opinion, and I love that they use coconut milk in their base (others use apple juice, almond milk, etc.). Customer service is always great as well and the wait time is pretty short. You can even order ahead on their website, although I never have personally. They also always ask if you want a lid, which is a nice option if you're getting it to go, but it's also nice that they don't assume and waste plastic. On a smaller note, I love their spoons! They're made from renewable resources and they're extremely durable. Overall just an amazing place and I'm excited to see Cocobowlz grow! read more

Ridiculously delicious! Now that they are in the Haywood mall it's super convenient. Don't sleep on these bowls! The ingredients are fresh and nothing was tart and the sweetness was at the perfect level. They are worth every penny and are made with a lot of care and love! I don't know them, but I can just tell. This is a very diet-friendly healthy choice option in the Haywood mall food court. They have a variety of bowls to choose from and also some great smoothies. My daughter likes the fruitful bowl I had the power up smoothie today. The fruit in the bowl is interesting and attractively arranged and the portion size seems generous. The smoothie has 75 g of protein if you ask for an extra scoop. It comes with 50 g of protein otherwise. The staff is super-friendly and helpful and the lines are usually short. They are opening another location in downtown Greenville soon. If you are looking for healthy food options you are going to pay a little more and that's the case here - but you won't be disappointed in the value of what you bought. read more
