This is the fork they gave me uncleaned...

NEVER going here again. They took 30 minutes to even sit me down. While there was 5 more people not attended. The workers were just gossiping and laughing in the kitchen. They haven't gotten any food out yet to the others that were seated. The store had less than 10 people keep that in mind. Once i finally got seated, they gave me the wrong order and gave me a watered down apple juice... I thought things had changed from when i went here two years ago. Last time it was even worse...The food was cold. All the workers did was chat and the customer service wasn't good , they had attitude and were getting aggravated when i didn't know what i wanted to order yet... like what. Forks and utilities were uncleaned for. The food was unseasoned and nasty. the Hast browns were burnt to the crisp barely any potato in it... I HATED MY EXPERIENCE HERE...

I met up with a friend to have breakfast. I waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Then my friend joined me later. Alie J was our server. He was the best, got me some water while waiting for my friend to join me. Right when she got there, he came to welcome her, introduce himself and start with drinks. He very nice, polite and attentive, although it was busy. He checked on us many times to make sure we were alright. When he was busy, another waitress stepped in to help us out. I have been to this ihop location many times and most of the times, I get the breakfast sampler so I knew what to expect. I don't eat pork so I got turkey everything. I like ihop for that. My friend got a fancy omelet, I forgot what it was called. She said it was good and she's very critical when it comes to her food so I knew it must be good. Overall, the experience was okay. Like I mentioned, I come to this ihop a lot and my experiences are always the same. I have noticed that every time I get my food, it is a little cold though, just a little. Prices are reasonable and it is a great spot for big groups.

I'm not sure why this IHOP has so few stars, service may be a little slow but the disposition of the staff is lovely. I have been to this establishment twice and each time the service is impeccable. The staff take their time to properly accommodate each customer. My little says the food is fresh. Cheers to a delightful dining experience.

Food was pretty good came out hot! Gotta love that these days. We have tried a few cafes around but the food has been so awful. Glad I found IHOP! Ordered the pesto eggs Benedict it was fabulous! The potatoes were ok, the coffee is a lot better. Husband had the veggie omelet it was great, lots of veggies and not over cooked. Service was a little slow they don't have the pitchers of coffee anymore so you do have to wait for them to bring coffee now. Place is clean and not sticky, you can sit with out being so close to someone else that you can actually hear them breath. I'll be back IHOP!

Hands down the worst. This place had less than 10 guests in it on a Friday at 5 pm on Veterans Day. It took them 10-mins to come to the table after seating us. Then another 10-mins to bring us water, then we never saw anyone again until we got our food 40-mins later. The only reason we came here was to get a little Veteran's day appreciation. The servers did come apologize for the delay, but the management needed to be more communicative about the issues behind the scenes instead of letting their customers sit and wait without a word or explanation. 60-mins for a few breakfast items isn't necessary.

What a difference some years make!!!! I had to comeback and drop that extra star because Daniel was fantastic!!! It was super busy here and the wait for a table was only 15 minutes. Once we were seated, Daniel came over, introduced himself and advised that he would be right back to get our drink order but did not want us to think he did not see us. Kudos for the acknowledgement! We were able to order quickly once he returned. All the food returned to the table with steam bellowing from the plates!! Everything was hot, fresh and you know the rest. Gone with the wind as the table became pin drop quiet as everyone enjoyed there food. Daniel came back repeatedly and checked on us and even grabbed the extra things we asked for swiftly and without hesitation.

Worst IHOP ever; slow, error prone, surly waitresses, patronizing manager, just an overall nasty place; not going back ever.

So I continue on Colonial St, see a big parking garage that reads Rose Gaming Resort, went up the ramp and parked. I went into the elevator, took a guess and push down to the 1st floor. Well there it was .. the food court with multiple restaurants inside the resort in which didn't stated beforehand. In the lobby, there's 6 establishments on the 1st floor such as Crab Tastic, R' Burger, Mama Mia's Italian Kitchen, Southern Spin Kitchen, The Bar and Corner Store. But you have to check the listings as they do not open on the same days and hours. During Mondays-Wednesdays, you have to place your order at the Corner Store for Southern Spin Kitchen and R' Burger. There were 3 items: 1) Chicken and Waffle Sliders 2) Fried Chicken 3) Peach Cobbler. The sliders were unique, waffles were fluffy and chicken were crispy. You get 3 portions served with crispy fries and slaw but never received the slaw but everything was delicious. The fried chicken platter is served with two sides of choice (collard greens and mac n' cheese). Be careful with the first bite as the fried chicken is piping hot. The two sides are were delicious but the collard greens were too sweet for me. The peach cobbler was supposed to be à la mode in which the kitchen staff of SSK informed they ran out of ice cream. As I return to the cashier named Tasia F, I informed her of what SSK staff told me about the ice cream. With the assistance of another cashier named Allie, I was informed that cashier Tasia F went searching through other kitchens within the resort to see if ice cream was in stock. Unfortunately there wasn't any ice cream available which was okay. I wasn't expecting anything because I understand if supplies were short. But I had excellent service with these two cashiers who were friendly, genuine, knowledgeable and beyond customer service. I would make future visit to try other items on their menu as well as other establishments

We had to place our order at another counter (minimal staffing at all restaurants in the food court). We would definitely visit again!

Not bad, but not great either…read more The restaurant's ambience is truly modern and inviting. As someone who resides in Dumfries, this is a very welcome addition to upscale dining, and I was greatly surprised by the decor. I've visited many casinos locally and around the country, including Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi, Mississippi, and New Orleans, and I must say this restaurant's decor is on par with many of the other fine-dining restaurants. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was not busy at all. In fact, there were only a few people at the bar and another couple who came in at the same time as us in the dining area. While someone would look at this and be very skeptical, I took it as number one. I was coming on a Sunday night around 5:30. Number two, it may be early for dinner, and number three. I could assure you that my food would come out hot. My server was excellent. The service was terrific, which I had heard was the most mixed part of the experience previously, due to staff turnover and inconsistent service levels for a fine-dining establishment. Akeara was fantastic, I mean, truly remarkable, and coupled with the excellent management and leadership of Veronica Keller, they made the dynamic duo who saved my dining experience. Akeara was very well-versed in the menu and sensitive to dietary restrictions when asked about many of the ways ingredients were prepared. She was invaluable and well-versed in preparation methods, as well as in drink pairings and menu options, to ensure we had a great culinary experience. The food I really enjoyed the calamari. It was fried perfectly. The two dipping sauces were fantastic. The rose salad is absolutely a star on the appetizer menu. I was a little skeptical about the crabcake because the way she described it sounded more like a fried crabcake than a pan-seared one. I think had she mentioned pan-seared, I would have likely gone with a crab cake, but I am certainly not disappointed in the calamari, and again, the salad was phenomenal. The steaks were a different story. I think they marinate the steaks, although I got different answers from the server and the manager when I asked; however, the steaks were a great cut. I saw someone get the bone in Tomahawk, which is presented nicely, hanging from a hook, with the Chef coming out to torch butter over the steak and vegetables beneath. I got the New York strip. It was a very, very lovely piece of meat. The New York strip was severely underseasoned. In fact, I had to ask for steak sauce, which is a cardinal sin of any steak restaurant. I think had they used a little more salt, pepper, and garlic to finish the steak It would've been perfect. The cook was absolutely perfect, medium rare. The seasoning was just off. I also got the risotto and short ribs. The short rib was well seasoned, though so much gravy from the short rib almost covered the entire plate of mushroom risotto. Tasty but just a little disproportionate in presentation. The bread basket was terrific, and the honey butter was nice, though the bread had a slight cheese flavor. It was still a really good combo. The baked potato is by far one of the best values on the menu as a side item. It was large. It was hot and fully loaded. The creamed spinach was a little more cream-cheese-forward, and it seemed like the spinach needed a little something else and seasoning, so it wasn't as bland. The desserts were another story: the toffee cake I thought would look like something I would get at Hell's Kitchen looked more like a very crumbly cornbread with ice cream on top. The vanilla ice cream tasted great, but the cake was just OK. The crème brûlée was on another level. It was fantastic, creamy, full of vanilla, and had a great crunch from the Brulé sugar on top. What really made this meal so good was the service. I talked with my server about my dissatisfaction with the two lobster tails: I did not appreciate being told they were pulled from the lobster shell, and they were served cold and rubbery. The server immediately jumped into action, spoke with the manager, and had the lobster removed from the bill. Thank you so much. But what really impressed me was the time that both the manager and my server spent at the table. Veronica was truly a pleasure to meet. As a military officer who has commanded hundreds and been responsible for thousands, she really hit it out of the park with her ability to problem-solve and immediately address issues as they arose. She was very engaging and really a pleasure to be with. This dynamic duo, who've only worked at this location for less than 5 months combined, really made me say I will come back to the restaurant, assuming they may have had an off night with seasoning and timing in the kitchen. If there's anything to take away, the food is OK (3 stars), the service from this dynamic duo was fantastic, and that's why they got the four stars.

Shaudine was attentive, knowledgeable about the entire menu, and helpful in recommending dishes. Overall, we had such delightful meal experiences. We started with their Oysters Rockefeller, which included 6 good-sized oysters topped with creamy spinach and toasted breadcrumbs. Delicious! For my meal, I ordered the Tomahawk Prime Steak ($130). Although the restaurant is à la carte, the tomahawk comes with a medley of broccoli, fingerling potatoes, and multi-colored carrots. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the table side searing presentation by their Chef was awe-inspiring. Likewise, the steak and vegetables were complemented by tasty truffle butter. My friend ordered the lamb chops, accompanied by blackberry compote. We also shared the Brussel sprouts, which were also quite delicious and savory; cooked with onions and bacon. For dessert, we shared a lava cake with vanilla ice cream... and Chocolate martinis as an accompaniment. The restaurant ambiance was curated and sheik. Large, round booths with nice fabrics, well-appointed details and lighting, and a beautiful bar area with a backlit-lucite bar. A nice steakhouse feel. I would like to leave two recommendations: 1. The Bartender should ONLY tend bar... as the role indicates. Not also act as a server for tables beyond the bar. When those of us dining in the main restaurant order drinks, we have to wait for the bartender to finish serving tables before they can return to the bar to make drinks. That is not a good system. 2. There should be jazz or some other music playing in the background to drown out the incessant noise coming from the casino's slot machines (which are only steps away). Music would help to elevate the aesthetic of the steakhouse, while minimizing the casino noise. The manager did visit each table during our time, which was quite a nice touch. She also gave good recommendations on how to reheat and enjoy leftovers. Top notch!

As a senior army officer, I value professionalism, discipline, and mutual respect--qualities I unfortunately found entirely lacking in the service provided by my waitress. During my visit, I was subjected to a series of unprofessional behaviors that were both disrespectful and disruptive to the dining environment: Aggressive Mannerisms: The waitress repeatedly slammed dishes and glassware down on my table with unnecessary force. Lack of Discretion: When presenting the check, she loudly yelled out the total amount of the bill in front of other patrons, which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Disparate Treatment: I observed her treating other parties with a level of courtesy and attentiveness that was pointedly withheld from me. General Demeanor: Her overall attitude was dismissive and overtly rude throughout the meal. For identification purposes, the server was a female of minority descent, approximately 5 feet tall with a heavy-set build. I have long respected Tun Tavern for its historical significance and its ties to military tradition. However, the treatment I received was inconsistent with the standards of hospitality one would expect from your establishment. I hope management has a conversation with her about customer service. The usual warm, cozy, friendly, country ambiance did not match the service. Every time we asked for something--even something as simple as a larger table for our party--the answer was immediately "no." It always felt like we were inconveniencing her, and there was never any effort to accommodate reasonable requests. The biggest issue came when our steaks were not cooked as ordered. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, Teka responded, "We only have two chefs working, and if you want them remade, it will take a long time." Rather than showing empathy, she came across as argumentative whenever we had questions or concerns. Her facial expressions and body language made it clear that she was annoyed every time we asked for anything. No customer should feel unwelcome or like they're bothering their server for making reasonable requests. We understand that restaurants can be busy and short-staffed, but that's never an excuse for poor customer service. We hope management addresses this, because the service we received completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.
