The food was cold for 2 out of 4 people and had to be sent back, the ham and cheese omelet had hardly any ham at all and was like warm at best. The fruit wasn't ripe and could not be eaten, the fries were barely warm. The pancakes were good and hot the second time. Our service was sparse, the Restuarant itself was fine. Far and away the worst breakfast experience I've ever had. The waitress (I think her name was Wendy, I'm not sure) finally showed up to take our order just as we were ready to leave cause we had been sitting there so long without being greeted and left silverware on the table that did not look clean. After we placed our order we waited there so long for our food we were ready to leave again and try our luck at another restaurant and the whole time we were waiting I don't think I saw the waitress once in the dining room. Let me tell you that the food I ordered looked putrid. I ordered the T-bone steak and eggs combo and the steak was completely grey and I don't believe I saw a bone in it. The hot plate made it quite clear it was cooked by a microwave. I don't know why the waitress bothered asking me how I wanted it cooked if that's how they make steaks here. The eggs and pancakes were ok but my mother complained the berries were frozen and not fresh. I'm never coming back here again and this ruined our Mother's Day. I don't care if it was busy that was no excuse for the barely there service and awful food. read more

A fine establishment and very nicely decorated for the holiday. Our server was very helpful and quick for our group of 17. Seems everybody enjoyed their food and I certainly enjoyed my chicken and waffles. Choco chips was a great addition to the waffle as well. read more

We were in town and I had a gift card for Ihop, so decided to try out this location. Well, it was not the best experience. The food was served lukewarm, but tasted ok. The gravy was the same as used on country fried steak. The eggs were a bit overcooked. Our server was not good at all. once we received our food, we did not see her again until she brought the bill. The meal came to $14. I gave her a twenty and she had the audacity to ask if I needed change. A 45% tip for mediocre food and bad service? I think not. The "ambiance" is that of any Ihop. This is my first time I have ever been so mistreated at any ihop location. Today when I arrived I waited to be seated for one. The hostess sat me towards the back of the establishment, I had asked her if I can possibly sit across at the booth that was empty but it wasn't cleaned, she said yes I'll get someone to clean it up. The waitress came over with a menu and I had asked her as well that I was just waiting to get the booth across cleaned so I could sit there, she left the menu where I was sitting and stated she will get someone to clean it. The hostess then came over to sit another family down and I simply just asked her if anyone was going to clean the booth and she said I don't know rolled her eyes and walked away. As she walked away I saw the same waitress that was supposed to attend me being asked my a manager if anyone had helped me and she stated that I was waiting for the booth to be cleaned but she was not cleaning it and that I would have to figure it out. It wasn't until I got up to ask the manager Claudia that was cleaning another table if anyone was going to clean the booth so I can sit and eat. Claudia the manager cleaned the booth and proceeded to attend me. Never in my life have I ever experienced such bad service at any IHOP location in the states I will never ever attend this ihop SERIOUSLY WORST SERVICE !! read more

I ate breakfast here on Saturday morning. I was pleasantly surprised. I am usually not a super fan of chain restaurants for breakfast, but it was very good. One of the secrets at IHOP is that they put pancake batter in their eggs. I stay low carb. So I do not want this. If you ask, they will use regular eggs. I have a feeling that they use powdered eggs if you get the usual omelette. I do not know that for fact though. I had the Poblano Pepper omelette. I was happy that it had a lot of stuffing and it was spicy. This is what I wanted. Service was very fast, and the food was hot when it was delivered. These all earn points in my book. The server asked if I wanted 4 links or 2 with my side of sausage. The sausage tasted very good too. The service was very friendly and fast. As I said above, everything was served hot. I have no complaints at all with the service. My only complaint is the coffee. It was weak, but hot. I am picky with my coffee because I have a Trade Coffee subscription at home and grind my own beans using the freshest coffee. So maybe the average person would not care about this. The bottom line is the IHOP stands out for a chain restaurant, and I would most definitely eat her again. read more

What a disappointment. Our waitress was slow and non attentive. Our food took a while to arrive and when it did my omelette was luke warm my sides were cold to warm. My wife had to send her food back to be heated up. The waitress took 10% off our bill which was considerate of her. However even with the discount our bill was over $40. Outrageous! Enjoy the food but for some reason can't get GRITS at this IHOP. Every time we go we get one excuse after another, even a manager(Lynn) inform us in Sept that they hadn't had grits in 6 months(LIE). The next week we were informed by a waitress that the district manager had taken grits off the menu because staff did not want to make them. The part about staff not wanting to make them is believable, but they want a good tip! The grits are instant & take approx 1min. 15 sec. to make. The food and table service were fine at this location. The challenge was with the hostess who staffed the front at 3:00 pm today. She was using her phone camera as a makeup mirror, applying eye makeup when we approached and attempted to pay for our meal. She snapped that we pay at the table. After taking care of our bill, we passed the hostess stand as we were leaving, and found her still at the hostess stand applying mascara. I commented on how unsanitary her actions were, which earned me an eye roll. Perhaps someone else would be a better representative as the first contact for customers. read more

My friend and I came here after leaving the casino. We probably got her around 2am I believe. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted and directed to our table. She promptly gave us menus and asked if we wanted something to drink. Soon as we got our drinks, she asked if we were ready to eat. Once we ordered our food, it came out rather quick. Bad experience at the restaurant. We had a big party they sat us in a different room and then they brought in more people so we had no privacy. The teenagers starting pitching in to our conversation and making everything that we were saying. Definitely a very bad experience. Talk to the manager and she dismissed our comments. read more

Please save yourself the hassle. Either the order will be wrong or the bill will be incorrect. If you want toast instead of pancakes, they charged extra. first of all, when I walked in I was surprised to see how well the place looked but my hopes went down right away when my waitress who was a huge Latino woman greeted me. I immediately felt the bad energy. after sitting down and ordering my drinks. for context to the story I ordered a Horatcha off the limited time menu. When it arrived, it was terrible. It was false advertised. A drink, showed up yellow when it's supposed to be pink. Secondendly a table of 4 that got here after us got there drinks and food before us. they were making a lot of noise and being distributive. thirdly when are food got here my whole table got there food before me which is unexpectble because my family was done. When I got her the eggs weren't seasoned and were bland.my sons who got the same thing recived very different portion sizes breaking out a huge fight .towards the end she became a lot nicer and gave us ice water that's where I got the one from. over all very bad time read more

This review is on the restaurant as a whole and is not representative of my experience with the wait staff. I went to this restaurant with a guest on October 24, 2020 and was seated promptly. Our server came over very quickly and took both our drink and food orders. The drinks came out quickly and that is where the good times ended. It took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. 50 minutes from ordering, not arriving. There were 4 wait staff in the restaurant and they were handling 8 tables so I knew that wasn't the problem, the issue was clearly the kitchen. When the food came out, not everything came out at one time and there were issues. The food was a combination of hot and cold though it should have all been hot. We were missing fundamentals such as pancakes. This is IHOP, aka International House of Pancakes. They didn't make them. Our waitress was very frustrated with the kitchen, as were we. You could hear all of the tables complaining about the food or the lack thereof. We weren't alone. Our waitress was a fighter and I was seated close enough to the kitchen to hear her blast the kitchen staff for screwing up the order. The waitress is really the only reason I didn't give this place a 1 star review. At the end of the night, I gave the waitress a cash tip that was almost 100% of the pre-tax order amount for the table. I knew it was a hard night for her. Stopped by IHOP with Mom and Dad, really enjoy the changes here. The staff are friendly, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Mom and Dad enjoyed their meals. I really enjoyed the Pancakes with Butter Pecan syrup. Our waiter Shane was friendly and attentive. Great job at giving wonderful guest services. Since this place is under new management, there is a huge change for the better. Since our food was so good Dad order another Tilapia to go, I ordered the Classic Burger with Fries. We visited yesterday and the waiters and waitresses spent more time in the kitchen than serving customers. There was no hostess at the entrance so we sat ourselves. The waiter messed up our order completely. We listened to the staff talking in the kitchen dropping fbombs left and right. When asked how our meal was we spoke and the only discount was for one milkshake. The prices are unreasonable. The managment staff should have been present to Supervise the young staff who are clearly summer hires with little to no experience. We are done eating there. Decided to stop by there this evening for dinner. Got all the way into the lobby when one of the workers came running around the corner. She's like: "So sorry but we're not taking any more people in the restaurant!" There was literally 5 people; you could see through the entire place. This 5 included two people sitting on the inside bench. We walked out and then my wife went back in to ask if what she said meant there was a wait or not. She came back out and told us the girl said they weren't allowing anyone else in because they didn't have a cook; only for take out orders. Just left IHOP, Charlestown WV. My family ordered simple meals..omelettes and pancakes. After 40 minutes waiting for our meals, and watching everyone around us receiving their meals, even those that arrived AFTER us, we decided to leave. We arrived at ten, were seated quickly and our friendly server took our order immediately. Our server then brought back coffee and condiments relatively quickly but the story ends there. Unfortunately our food never arrived. We spoke to the manager who apologized and advised he would check on the food. After a few minutes of watching the manager walk back and forth on the line, we decided to pay for the coffee and leave. The coffee ended up "on the house". Worst service ever! read more

Sitting in the parking lot with plenty of time I call my 1 order in at 9:56am,was told about 10 to 15 minutes. So I go in pay for said food with the always lovely guy at the register Mateo & he goes to check on food. Now flash forward to 10:29am...still no food. Now I'm still hungry & gonna be late for work.
