My visit at iHop this week was been much better than it had been previously. Ronnie was great! I originally intended to order togo but decided to dine in since it wasn't busy. Our waiter was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The food came out quick and it was delicious! Just ordered two omelettes. The food wasn't seasoned and the hash browns were cold. When I opened the container to my egg white omelette, there was a standing pool of liquid in the container. Was in town visiting daughter before a game and she offered to pick up breakfast before her game and eat at hotel w us. So she placed order online and when she arrived to pick up they could not find order. Instead of just looking at the receipt and making the order staff just gave a bunch of excuses and said there was nothing they could do about it since it was done online. A text was received about 1/2 hour after she left and order was found but since she a student athlete who was at the field getting ready for a game too little too late as we had already grabbed an alternate breakfast. I then tried to call to make sure the nearly $40 was not charged to my card for food never received. I am still trying to get the $$ back. Food is good of course, staff is friendly. But every time I've been to this location, there's 3 people working here. It takes 10 minutes to be seated. 10 minutes to place a drink order. And another 1/2 hour + to get your food. They seriously just need more staff and someone running the show. We ended up having to leave before we even got our food, which I feel crappy about, but my husband had an hour for lunch (he works around the corner from this IHOP) and we had to have time to get him SOMETHING to eat before he went back to work for another 5 hours and hadn't eaten anything all day. read more

We ordered quickly and was greeted by a waitress who acted very rudely towards my friend, telling him he couldn't get more pancakes because it's not a Wednesday. After so many years of wanting an I HOP, we finally got one. I ordered a burger with the endless fries. The fries were okay, but I like anyone's fries. I took the burger home for lunch. I received the burger at about 8:30 am and at it at 10:30 am. That was the saltiest burger I have ever eaten, including McDonald's. Believe it or not it got saltier as I ate it. The servers seemed a little unsure of themselves. One server received the order and another one brought it back. Neither one appeared as if they wanted to be there. Went at 6:45AM to get breakfast and the doors were locked, although their hours said 6AM was opening. I tried the door again and got the attention of two employees inside. I thought it was an honest mistake, but they looked at me and laughed, and then disappeared out of sight. Stopped by tonight for light dinner. .Food tasted good -came out slow-though, and then we only got half of what we ordered and asked twice. The server was nice, but definitely needs additional training. We had empty glasses before the food was served.--never refilled. We had to ask for condiments, to go boxes and then the check (which was incorrect twice) ----asking for each more than once! I would give this place a zero star if I were able to. Came here instead of Denny's to try it out because it was new. The customer service is absolutely horrible , first they sat is in the booth right next to the kitchen door when there were plenty of other tables to be seated at. From where we were, we were able to hear every conversation they were having, which included, how they messed up on another customers bill, a staff member not rolling their own silverware and how lazy this worker way, but also (and even worse and disturbing) was over hearing them speak badly about their customers. Considering the fact that we were sitting right in front of them you would think that they would've kept their insults to themselves. Now on top of all this some of the potatoes I had were raw, hash browns were requested well done and crispy only the top was well done the rest was raw, We had to request for silverware, Which was brought to us after the meal was already on the table getting cold, was needing butter and jam for the toast but never got it cause the whole staff was around the register or trying to figure out how to fix a ticket that they messed up on, and the rest of the staff was MIA. When our waitress finally came to the table and ask how was everything I expressed my disappointment and how I was needing butter and jam but never received it, she basically ignored everything and just said if I wanted jam now. We have been to other IHOPs and waited over a month before trying this one out--it was disappointing for the following reasons: 1) The service was inconsistent showing poorly trained staff-my husband had to get his own catsup and I had to find a waitress to get syrup-it was 2:30 and not busy. The pancake was tepid and under-cooked. It is unfortunate because we have had positive experiences in other locations. I compare IHOP to the local place Harbaugh's and local wins hand down for food and service. I was at Carbondale IHOP tonight with 4 intellectually disabled individuals. Our waitress was just downright rude. When we walked in the door she told us to "go sit at that big table," but did not offer to escort us to said table. She takes our drink orders& things seem to be ok, then she brings the menus back & just tosses them down in front of me, doesn't bother to speak to any of the individuals I was with, drops the silverware again directly in front of me, cant be bothered to hand each person their own silverware. These individuals may have special needs but they are not "contagious" you cant "catch an intellectual disability" & for her to be rude & disrespectful to them just was not necessary. They have feelings just like you & I do. Maybe next time if shes nicer she will get more than a 10% tip!! She did not give me her name.
