    This restaurant is disgusting and their staff is awful - like zero Customer Service on top of bad food. Take my $22 advice and take your family next-door to Texas Roadhouse. I went for lunch - a steak Cobb salad - today (first time Logan's customer - last time Logan's customer) RAW BACON was mixed in with the food, and as I was pulling out and realizing how much of it there was, my stomach started to hurt. So nauseating to think about it! Instead of adjusting the bill or offering me something different, the bartender had me pay the full bill $21.66. So I wasted all of my time and never got fed because who is going to eat raw bacon - like seriously this place is despicable do not do not do not eat here. I filed a complaint with corporate online right after - and we'll see if they give me my money back, but I'm honestly considering talking to Navy Federal Credit Union and disputing the charge - like I can't even... Grossed the eff out.

    Initially, I thought the flavor was great, but the steak proved too challenging to chew and swallow. The service was horrible!

    I was excited to find this steakhouse because it was one of my late father's favorite chains. It looked clean, and we were seated immediately. Unfortunately, I received less than professional service from the server. On May 22, 2024, I took my aunt and myself to Logan's in Marion, IL, to celebrate my father's heavenly birthday. Every year, I celebrate him with his favorite: a juicy ribeye. The server who came to my table was very opinionated and rude. The food looked and tasted great. However, my steak had too much hard gristle running along one side, and so after two bites that I could not chew or swallow, I requested another one. Our server, Callie, informed me that I should have ordered a sirloin like she does because a ribeye has a lot of marbling, which is how it should be. She rolled her eyes and showed disdain when I explained the difference between marbled fat and hard gristle. Once I saw her rudeness, I was uncomfortable requesting a new steak. I told her to remove my meal from the check and said I would pay for my aunt's meal. She left the table, had the nerve to send a different server to my table with the check (I guess Callie didn't want to deal with me), and had the people in the kitchen pointing and looking at us at our table. I usually do not think negatively of people doing their jobs. However, it was obvious that the workers had been told something terrible about me and our table. Several staff members gathered in the kitchen area and pointed at us to ensure we knew they were on Callie's side. It wasn't very respectful! I asked to see the manager, whose name is Seth. As the manager, he should have been coming with an apology and a solution, but instead, it felt more like a way to hurry up and get us out of the restaurant. Seth held his head down, nodded a few times as I explained my dissatisfaction, especially given the momentous occasion, and then said, "Yeah, I am sorry....," but not for anything specific. I left the restaurant having had nothing to eat on my father's birthday and was extremely upset at the treatment we received. I rarely go out to dinner, but I know I will not be returning to the Logan's in Marion. I want to note that my aunt and I were the only people of color in the restaurant. Callie was bold and unprofessional with us from the beginning. I always hope that race isn't the cause of ill-treatment, but I do feel a responsibility to say that I think that it was. This was the first year I was sad AND mad on my father's birthday. The one bright spot was that we had taken photos of our food and happy moods before the nasty behavior from the staff occurred. Most of my reviews are positive, but in this case, I will not be recommending Logan's in Marion, IL, because of how we were treated. If you go to this steakhouse, do not even mention my name!

    "Peach Cobbler" mess.

    That peach "cobbler" was possibly one of the worst desserts I've ever had delivered. I took two bites and threw it away. It was cold, in a Styrofoam cup, and was a soupy mess and smelled fermented. Like you put real cobbler in a blender for a few seconds, then covered it with foil and put it in the fridge for a month. God knows how old it was. Awful. My stomach already hurts. Steak was ordered medium and showed up medium-well. Broccoli was overcooked and mushy. Sweet potato was ok. Never again. Gross.

    I ordered a steak and it was flavorless and under cooked the mac&cheese was terrible the best thing I had were fries and they were ok.

    Food and service is always decent. For me the though the price for the quality doesn't compare to Texas Roadhouse.

There are QR codes on the bar for the beer menu. It isn't accurate, they're out of several. I was told by a staff member (again, it's hard to tell who fills what role so I'll just call them staff members from here on) that they are "locked out" of that account so I should check the board behind the bar. The board lists the flavor and usually the type of beer. It does not list the manufacturer or really any other details. At this point I ordered a beer and the chicken nachos. I received the beer promptly. I finished that one, then another. Still no nachos. After an hour+ and 3 beers, I cashed out and left. At least they never tried to charge me for the nachos. I witnessed numerous dishes returned to the kitchen. There were 2, sometimes 3 staff members for the entire bar and dining room. All were friendly but seemed inexperienced. I witnessed at least 2 on their phones at some point. Last but not least, the atmosphere. The place could be really amazing. When I was there, the bar was sticky. 3 of the lights above the bar were burned out and the fixtures, obviously intended for old looking filament bulbs had bright LEDs installed giving the ambiance of a hospital waiting room. The recessed can style lighting in the rest of the establishment wasn't much better. The stools at the bar are seriously worn. It's almost worth visiting for the spectacle...almost. Update: they did charge me for the nachos. I misread the receipt that night.

We had 4 appetizers lamb chops, mussels, crab cakes and quail. The lamb was delicious but we didn't like the mussels which are normally a favorite but they were too dry and chewy baked and some crumb topping and the little sauce underneath was not helping. Crab cakes were just ok again the sauce was just odd and didn't complement the dish. The quail we weren't a fan of. The Caesar salad was amazing and the pumpkin apple leek soup was delicious as were the flaky croissants. Some had the blackened sea bass and loved it. I had a steak with cognac cream sauce, again the sauce was off putting and over powered the filet. The other steak was topped with their version of an Oscar sauce that had Swiss cheese and crab meat with a tarragon cream sauce and it's offered on most this at an up charge of $15 or so. Honestly the place is lovely and the service was pretty good. I think we would go again armed with the knowledge of ordering everything without any sauce or getting it on the side so it wouldn't ruin anything. We're all fairly adventurous eaters and we all agreed on the sauces issue. We went early so it wasn't crowded and it was quiet and had nice decor of an older Victorian style house with a few too many stairs that again I think I would ask to be seated on the entry level so I only have to climb the stairs to the porch which is shady and nice.
