Best IHOP ever, super friendly staff and great service, best breakfast I've ever had at IHOP , I can't wait to eat here again

We've become "regulars" at this location bc breakfast is great and the wait staff is always attentive and friendly.

We stopped by for a late breakfast on our way To golf'n stuff in Ventura. The service: Our waitress was very friendly and you can tell that she would be very good at what she does if she was not overwhelmed by it being understaffed. She was very accommodating and anticipated what we may have needed like Cholula instead of Tabasco. The restaurant: it was a lot of what you would normally expect from any IHOP. Old decor and cheap attempts to make it match the current time of the season this time was the holiday season. Gift wrapped frames and stockings. My section was kept very clean though which I appreciated. The food: Rule #1 is if your name has something like the word "pancakes" in it. Don't mess that item up and serve it to your customers. Our pancake was burned. It was not the only item to be that way but also my hash browns. When my toast that I added on was burned I had to ask for another one and I don't like complaining. Seems like the griddle was too hot or they weren't paying close attention. This place would have had a two star rating from me if not for our waitress who was moving around too quickly for me to get a chance to read her name tag. We probably won't consider this place again when we are in Camarillo. There are many other options around and probably would have paid less as well. read more

We order pick up, most of the topping and add on were missed. We order the pancakes of the month and at first we're given a protein pancakes, they did catch that but only have plain pancakes none of the topping. So check your order all the way before leaving or you may not receive everything. read more

I ordered online and received the wrong order. I reached out to the restaurant and spoke with the Manager, Oscar. He was so professional and helped take care of my order. He really needs to be recognized for going above and beyond and providing excellent customer service. He really makes IHOP look good. I will definitely be back to this location! read more

Worse service if I could give it a no star I would plus the employees seemed to be racist because they served everyone else just fine but I waited 20 minutes just to be served and was never checked on after that this was a terrible experience and I will definitely not be going back here again 0/10 would not recommend read more

This Denny's is one of the best places around! I've been coming here for most of my life and even more so throughout my high school life. Whether birthdays or a meet up after a big show, they have always shown hospitality and kindness in every aspect. These guys will always be a place where I can sit down with friends and enjoy a time I'll never forget. Close to the Camarillo outlets this IHop is my go too before all that walking. Parking they have sufficient parking in the side and in front of IHOP. Our waiter was excellent I didn't catch his name! (My fault) Food didn't take long and this time around they brought some homemade green salsa which was decent. 1st IHOP that does it for me. Got the pancake combo and it wasn't too bad until I received my pancakes by the time we were about to leave. The kitchen took a while to get my food out. Service was not too bad. Our server was sweet. The pancakes weren't fully cooked and tasted awful. The combo itself was mediocre, cant go wrong with potatoes and eggs. Coffee was about the best thing I had here. It's been about five years since I've gone to this IHOP I never thought I'd go back because it was so unkept and needed maintenance and the service was bad but today it was too hot to cook because of the crazy weather we have been experiencing, I gave it another try. Three times in a row we have ordered the same thing. They forgot the pancakes on oneofthem and were unwilling to help other than we have to go pick itup whenwe ordered delivery. The next time they did not include the crepes we ordered and they refunded our money. Now they do not include any berriesfor the crepes that were ordered and all they say each time is they have new people working there. Completely unacceptable. 3 weeks in a row and issues everytime. First impressions are important. No complaints on the food or service. I ordered the French toast meal with two sausage, two eggs and cottage cheese instead of hash browns. Everything was good my mom ordered the pancake meal and she enjoyed her food also. The food came out quickly. The food on the menu is a good value and priced fair. So we were about to be seated and the booth seats were still dirty. There was a mess on the floor beneath the booth. Our hostess wiped down the seats for us. I ordered coffee and my mug still had lipstick residue. I quickly asked for a replacement. When I was ready to pour syrup on my French toast the container was empty. I also reached for the salt and it felt sticky. As I paid for our meal I noticed the front windows were being cleaned (good job IHOP) but I also noticed the floor in the front entrance was very dirty and there was pieces of trash on the floor (toothpicks, small pieces of paper). Very bad first impression. I am turned off by this and not sure if I want to return. Please keep it clean IHOP. The details matter. The crevices in the booth, the window pane, wipe down the salt & pepper shaker and keep your syrups full. read more

Came in with my bestie cause we wanted breakfast and ihop is your choice. This is a nice quiet location we were seated quickly. The food came quickly and was cooked exactly as asked for. Stopped by for breakfast at IHOP in Camarillo and can honestly say I experienced the best Customer Service from all the employees. I was approached by the Manager after the food came to my table and asked if everything was good and if I needed something. I was very surprised by the manager he and the waitress Victoria were very attentive to all the customers including myself. I really appreciate the top notch service this restaurant provides. This IHOP on East Daily Dr. Camarillo was one of the best Ihops I've been to. One during Covid-19 times we eat outside and the tables were clean, the gave the options of plastic ware and were so attentive to us and other customers. My hubby and I went for the first time to this location for the $7 Rooty Tooty Fresh & Fruity special. The entire staff was so friendly, including our waitress, Letty. The food was cooked exactly to order, which does not always happen in other restaurants. We were so impressed that we looked over the menu for future visits. Just had the "Colorado Omelette" with Whole Grain Pancakes and tasty, excellent and fresh. Waitress Alicia friendly smiling giving quick service. Large portions of Pancakes and Omelette enough food to feed 3. Bringing home 2 Pancakes and 3/4 of my Omelette for my 93 year old mom whose favorite food is Pancakes. Was at Denny's this same Sunday morning early 6:45 AM and waitress ignored me, so bid her goodbye. Over here at IHOP Alicia gave me 5 Star service. Usually I get good waitress service at Denny's but it was short handed over there this AM. I HOP is great and gives me a Senior Discount Too! I will still go to breakfast at Denny's as I have been happy in the past except for today. I highly recommend this IHOP in Camarillo as have been coming here for over 10 Years! Well, the senior menu is awful. I ordered a turkey dinner. Luke warm, appeared to be corn from a can, our server brought a salad. No 1000 island dressing, take it back. Server had no knowledge of drinks, assumed I wanted pepsi. No diet coke, didn't even bother to ask. I would not bring their food home to my dog. You will never get 35.00 from me again! read more

Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with the level of service, quality of food and cost for our dining experience.

So many things wrong with my experience here. First, I'm aware this is an IHOP, not a fine dining location; however, service matters EVERYWHERE. There were maybe three tables full of people when we visited. The hostess was on her phone when we walked in, greeted us then dropped us off at our table without another word. After the initial hellos, the waiter took forever to come back for our order and cut me off before I was finished ordering. He didn't have an attitude, it just seemed like he wasn't paying attention. I had to ask for my drink order a second time before he brought it out. Our table was located in an area where the order counter was visible so we were able to see when food came out from the kitchen. My boyfriend was brought his order right away while mine sat on the counter for a bit as our waiter chatted with the hostess. My boyfriend also ordered a specific drink offered on the menu which was made incorrectly. He didn't complain, but as the waiter brought refills, we noticed all he did was add soda to it rather than making the correct drink which included juice. The food was ok per usual at an IHOP but there was an excessive amount of grease pooled on the plate of hash browns that came with our order. We were brought our check in the middle of our meal which I thought was a bit quick. I paid $35 for this experience and won't be visiting again. read more

Went to IHOP today to get....well, pancakes. I showed up around 230pm on a Sunday to find there was only 2 other tables occupied. I ordered the sausage combo plate which comes with pancakes. When asked what kind of pancakes I wanted I said the regular buttermilk flavor. I waited for 30 mins for my plate and as I dig into my pancakes I could tell something was wrong but could not put my finger on it....until the bill came. Not only was it $24 dollars but the pancakes were thres lechi (sorry for the spelling) of course I eat my pancakes last so by this time how could I complain?!? (I had to say something nice about the place) Most memorable part of this outing was when my sister backed into a light pole in the parking lot. It's a very clean place and I like the layout of the place. The seating isn't clumped together so you have space and you don't have to stare at anyone next to you, there is plenty of parking and it wasn't crowded. The service was great and very quick. Our waiters name was Steven and he's a great guy! He's very nice and quick about getting your food and refills. I gave it four stars because it is a little pricey for what you get. read more

We have had over 100's of meals at this location. over 2012-2013 But Monday 2/25/13 Me and my friend ordered the Sausage & Biscuit side as well as their Special of the day that included pancakes. We shared. THOUGHT it was great when about an hour later we were shopping, I passed out on the floor while my man profusely threw up in some bushes outside. (We think it was either sausage or the gravy sauce). First time ever having food poisoning. I contacted IHOP and hopefully they can make major changes by not serving expired or tainted foods. I came in expecting to have the same quality service I usually get when I go to the IHOP closer to my hometown Hollywood. The unexpected happened. 1) only PLUS and reason for my 1 star. We were seated after about 5min even though the place was full with lots of people standing in the front of the restaurant. 2) waiter named Beto. May I just say!! I am sure it wasn't the best service for a few other customers walking away with unpleasant service too. I overlooked few tables and saw almost every table without a tip. Tip of the day for ihop "PLEASE FULLY COOk YOUR MEALS" Walked towards the cashier to pay for the bill and guess what this Bobby guy(manager) said? It will be $21.46 since we are giving you a discount!! Wtf! Are you serious? I shouldn't even have to pay but WHATEVER I'm not looking for free meals but also not too happy with paying for by far the worse meal/service.
