I got the Sirloin Steak Tips-$21.59. Steak was a bit dry but overall taste was good. Hash browns were amazing. Pancakes were very dry though and given the fact that this is a breakfast/brunch place, I expected better. I think this is a good place for a decently sized, hearty meal. But don't expect it to be as good as the other brunch places around. read more

IHOP - Sirloin Steak Tips-$21.59 - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

It is your typical pancake place, which has some other items such as sandwiches and burgers. The place was busy but we were able to get a spot before a line up formed. The service was okay, as they did come by to ask how we're doing but they never filled up my water. Our food came relatively quick, and was good. They do have a pot of coffee on all the tables but if you want coffee, you will have to ask for a cup, which then they charge you for coffee. We recommend coming early as it gets busy. read more

Located at Lougheed Town Center close to London Drugs. Plenty of parking as it is inside the mall - additionally you can easily get here by transit. Plenty of tables - you shouldn't have too much trouble with getting a seat - unless maybe during peak breakfast hours. Some soft music playing in the background, you don't really notice it. Food wise was a little disappointing - Hash tasted stale and old - no crisp to them what so ever , temperature was nearly cold for both plates. Eggs were fine - sausage and ham tasted under cooked. The gravy for the steak was quite delicious - the steak itself had a nice crispy outer skin - however beneath that skin tasted like excessively salty mashed potato - I didn't get much of a meat taste out of it. The pancakes also was a disappointment - they were so dry - it honestly was hard to swallow - had to down it with water , or it would constantly be getting stuck in my throat. IHOP Isn't what i remembered it to be. - i will likely skip returning to this one. read more

I read a review before going about an older lady server who came across as cranky. Sure enough who do we get! 'Smile' was on the t-shirt, but not in the service. read more

Variety, good food and great servers! Prompt service. Social happy family atmosphere.

Tbh I don't think it's as good anymore as it used to once be years ago. Service may be okay but I feel like the quality of the food has gone down terribly read more

Got eggs, hash browns, turkey sausage and pumpkin spice pancakes. So for the most part, you know what you're getting yourself into when you go to ihop and order these items. Eggs were fine, I like adding hot sauce. Hash browns were good, I add just ketchup. Did not like the turkey sausage (side note: future self if you're wanting this again, the turkey bacon was actually much better, get that!). The pumpkin spice pancakes were good as well, could have used a bit more spice. I also got the coffee crisp latte and it was good. read more

We needed a take out breakfast order of sausages, eggs and bacon for a 60 person brunch. Our order was hot, tasty and ready on time - and we were even given help taking this all out to the car. Great service! Highly recommend this IHOP. read more

The only thing better than breakfast in bed is: a breakfast cooked by someone else on the B-side of a day. Today I came to IHOP for a business meeting . We didn't have IHOP where I grew up, and I always find delight in the row of flavoured syrups (Butter Pecan FTW). The Staff here is competent and genial. The menu is gargantuan. How can one establishment offer so much choice? Kudo's to the Kitchen! I don't come here to fulfill my usual clean eating habits. I come for comfort found in fluffy pancakes, coffee carafes left on the table and an unspoken understanding that I may use the booth, unhurried for hours if I wish. If I was Mayor of Breakfast-Ville, all establishments would offer both kinds of hash browns. It's the shredded, fried kind here, folks. My favorite IHOP location fo shure! read more

IHOP - Flavoured Syrup & Endless Coffee, Warm Smiles - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

Decent space with great service/staff! Their menu has great selection and each item has a nice picture. Actual food was like a half attempt of the pictures from the menu and you get what you pay for. Blueberry waffles were fluffy and crepes are okay. Steak and eggs looked and tasted like prison food though (cannot confirm if prison food tastes like this). read more

We (daughter and I) were up and out early this Sunday morning, heading to an appointment in New Westminster. I suggested a decent breakfast would be a good way to start the day -- the nearby IHOP restaurant was chosen as our go to place. I ordered their 'quick 2 egg breakfast' (with scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, and whole wheat toast), and she ordered their '2x2x2' (with scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes). Plus, coffee for two. It was good ... and sure 'hit-the-spot'. Bright, clean and tidy restaurant, friendly service, and well-prepared food and coffee - IHOP provided an enjoyable breakfast dining experience. read more

This IHOP has disappointed me two times in the last 12 years but this third experience one proves its not just a one time error. And I feel this experience will probably go down as one of the most underwhelming in history. I came here to try an October Halloween special. The Gomez Omelette. Pictures looked liked a wonderfully stuffed piled high omelette advertising pulled pork and roasted peppers and green salsa. What arrived was a sad, flavourless, miniature version of the ad picture. Pulled pork had a funky yet bland flavour. Server had forgotten the sour cream but she was the only pleasant part of the experience. Very nice lady and the reason for the extra star. Ordered pumpkin spice pancakes. These were pretty good. Would come just to eat them if they were on regular menu. But the request for a peach "compote" was extremely sad. It was basically canned peaches. Runny canned peaches that were flavourless. My daughter ordered the regular eggs benny which seemed to be normal. But all of this for the price point is heinous. And whats with the hash browns??? A skimpy square of potatoes that resembled a single potato patty. Disappointing. Spent $63 for a breakfast for two people (incl tip). Really??? And the last disappointing cherry was that manager or owners service level. As we went to pay she did not once look at us and say was everything ok? She was just shouting out orders to her staff. Rude as hell. Staying away from here for sure. read more

1. Get the pancakes. Let's get real, pancakes are why you're even here, and they are legit delicious here. Any flavor you're feeling like, IHOP will make it good. 2. Don't get the hash browns. I was expecting something crispy, golden, and flavorful. I got a pile of soft, limp, bland potatoe shreds. read more

I used to go here all the time, until a while ago when I stopped to get a quick breakfast. Just before I started to eat I went to the washroom to wash my hands. As soon as I walked in, a lady came running out of a stall; she looked scared and that's when I saw water flowing from the toilet onto the ground! I was a bit confused as to why that was happening, but I walked out of the washroom and the lady followed me. She told a worker and I continued eating with my dirty hands that had not been washed, not a big deal but on the way to IHOP I slipped and I had much "Ewness" on my hands. I felt bad for the staff so I left a large tip. Other than the toilet incident I had a good time. read more

Today was my first ihop try. Wasn't really into anything on the menu cause it's mainly breakfast. So picked the overpriced fried chicken. It was 4 pieces, mashed potato, gravy, corn, and had this ice coffee with no flavor. Nothing was opened nearby. All the mall food fair was under renovations, Safeway closed reno, and only japadog nearby. Waited 15 to 20 mins and food came. Very good fried chicken and sides. The service was really good but not going back. Food, drink, and taxes is 22.00 ....for bloody chicken lol. I peaked at a nearby table and breakfast looks dry and not worth eating Usually I eat the fried chicken at the food fair. Something like 8.00 for 3 or 4 pieces. read more

I find that a lot of the IHOP's in the lower main land are just okay. And this location I thought would be a bit better. It was but the main reason I came to IHOP was for the hash browns. The service was good but the food on the other hand was not worth it. The pancakes were sad not flavourful no matter how much maple syrup you put on it. The eggs were probably the best thing on the plate. Bacon was too greasy and sausages were nothing special. And the hasbrowns.... were sad soggy and disappointment. Maybe I'm being too harsh. But we usually go to the IHOP in surrey and that was the best breakfast we ever had. We ordered breakfast sampler with no ham but three pieces of sausage and bacon. read more

Yes I know it is an Ihop. It seems like customer service is dead. Had a granola fruit bowl. Hard to mess that up right? Terrible. Menu says it comes with low-fat yogurt. It came with a grape flavoured kids tube full fat yogurt. When I asked to have it taken back, was told they didn't take food back. Asked for a fruit bowl (menu item for $3.98) but was charged $9.98. When I questioned the manager he didn't even think there was fruit bowl on the menu, then proceeded to tell me it was the wrong item, and wrong size brought to our table. The manager spoke to us in a very condescending way and made us feel wrong when they were the ones who obviously made the mistake. Not the first bad experience with this location and their lack of customer service. Seriously, how do you mess up a fruit bowl? read more

Good food...never looks like the photos! Haha Always so busy on weekends, especially for brunch rush. Don't be surprised to wait, sometimes for 30+ mins. Never had a good, friendly server though. They are alright but don't have high standards. They just take your order, deliver it, and that's pretty much it... I still go here regularly for breakfasts. Good food for that. Have yet to try it for lunch and probably wouldn't risk it for dinner....I'd expect it to be like Denny's in that regards.,, read more

I came in on a Sunday after noon and had Joanne C as my server. I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire life and I have never had worse service than this. she was incredibly snappy and rude to us. We we're trying to be as polite as possible. Our food took a super long time to come which is no issue but not even two minutes after the food came out she handed us our bill. I have never felt so pushed out of a restaurant in my life. will never be returning. read more

Once in a blue moon (more like once annually!) we go to an ihop in hopes of cheap brekkie. IHop at metrotown usually serves our purposes just fine, but we checked this one out as it was on the way. This location isn't great, when being seated the hostess wandered and meandered around with us trailing her and the menus and had to be reminded she was seating us. (wth?!) then took our drink orders and got them all wrong. Server was nice, but too busy to keep us in supply of coffee and cream, and the food took 20+ minutes which seems long for eggs and pancakes. I wont be returning! read more

If you want over priced welfair food come by to this location. The cooks do not even try to make the food look anything like the pictures. I ordered the Avocado and Eggs Benny, this was probably the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had. Could not even finish it. They gave me SCRAMBLED EGGS ON TOAST with sauce and veggies. Everything was served cold. Our server was really nice and is my only positive feedback that keeps this rating at a 1 star. I also complained to the MANAGER which all she had to say was "Thank you". Never coming back here again!! AVOID!! read more

Ordered the steak medium rare. Server actually told me it comes to them frozen and they can only cook it medium to well. Wanted a Caesar, told me no spirits, Asked for a glass of wine and she told me that I should "steer clear of the wine" as it's bottom of the barrel. What is going on. read more

I went to this ihop for my regular order of chocolate chocolate pancakes. Service upon entry was good, although the server never motioned for us to follow as she was seating us. We had to be reminded to follow. After that the overall service was great. The chocolate chocolate pancakes were up to par, served nice and hot. The hot chocolate on the other hand was nothing more than your average Tim Hortons hot chocolate made with water- wouldn't order ever again. All in all a good trip, i would reccomnend this to anyone looking for a quiet meal in a central location read more

The food here is mediocre. I couldn't really find much taste in anything and they seem to water things down in the form of the coffee and the pancake syrups. Portions are on the smaller side. My verdict: "meh". read more

IHOP.. It is the place to go to when you really can't think of anything else. In my case it is the place to go to when I want the Swedish Crepes.. for some reason I crave those crepes at least once a year. It must be the loginberries and melting butter that draws me in every time. read more

My husband and I dine here maybe once a month. We like to order take out when we have a day off together and one of us will go pick it up. On this occasion my husband orders over the phone and I went to go get the food. When I got to the restaurant , they showed me my bill before paying and there was a mistake. They had charged us for 2 orders of crepes when we only wanted one. The manager shrugged his shoulders and said that was what my husband ordered. I tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding , and instead of offering to take the second charge off the bill he began to tell me that my husband was wrong and he should come in to the store instead of calling next time. He has terrible customer service. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication he just shrugs and says it's too bad. After going back and forth a bunch of times because I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't want ,he finally took the charge off my bill. This guy needs a lesson in how to deal with the public. read more

Fantastic place! I have absolutely no idea what some of these other reviews are talking about in regards to this location.. Maybe they were expecting to be served instantly when it's super busy? Be patient! You can't expect to be served instantly when it's packed! Haha, anyway, this location has never disappointed me. Servers are always super polite and friendly, even when it's packed in there they seem to find a way to keep smiling and be friendly and make sure you're taken care of. Outstanding in their part! Food is as good as IHOP can be. If you like IHOP's menu, you'll like this location. I recommend the Belgian waffles; super delicious! Price is decent for what you get. No complaints whatsoever. One thing I noticed is that the manager often comes out during peak periods and helps out with taking payments so that the servers can continue helping their customers. And he's friendly while doing it, too! No problems with this location at all. Maybe some of these other yelpers were just rude to their servers or something. No idea what the bad reviews are talking about. read more

I personally don't really care for service when I just wanna sit down and have some brunch with a friend. I mean, the waiter didn't throw the plates down or anything, so nothing really bothered me (why would you expect KEG-like service at a semi-fast-food brunch place?) anyway food was good, liked the strawberry pancakes, because they were not too sweet, and the international passport was good, liked the generous amount of fresh fruit! It's okay but the portions are small for the price they charge. I have a feeling they jacked the prices to cover the costs for the flavoured syrups options, because Cora's and Denny's both have better value for the dollar and provide better quality breakfasts. read more

OK, it's IHOP. The food is not great, the service is not great, the ambiance is kinda truck stop, complete with stained floors... It's perfect diner for grandpa with no teeth, and no sense of taste, and little children, so they can be noisy and sticky. Too salty, too sweet, and I don't understand why it's busy?
