Don't understand the bad reviews here. My family and I been here over a dozen times. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience. Seated promptly. Waitresses have always been friendly and informative. Only wish I could give them zero star! This is one of the worst IHOP I've ever been to and yes, I will never return. We came here for Saturday breakfast/brunch around 11am. There were lots of people ahead of us but only took about 10-15 minutes to get our table. We got seated and our waitress got our order pretty quick. Cool. We were waiting and waiting drinking our water and it's been 50 minutes and we haven't got our food yet. I was getting so hangry. Our waitress finally showed up with our food and great, she brought me wrong food. Even worse, we don't even have silverware to eat our food. First of all, I told her my food is wrong but I don't want to wait so it's ok, but we still need silverware to eat something. She apologized and gave us "to-go plastic forks" from her pocket. At that point, I was like are you serious? She was so busy, so she basically just dropped them off and then left. I had to ask her again for "real silverware". She brought my food again anyway because apparently, it was her fault grabbing wrong food from the kitchen. I did eat my food, food was OK but the service was absolutely terrible and their place smelled like crap. By far the worst IHOP experience ever. The establishment itself is not well kept or clean. Service was poor at best. It took 10 minutes just to be asked what we wanted to drink. Another 10 just to get water and coffee. Once our waitress finally took our order, we waited an additional 30 minutes to get our order. The order itself was unpleasant as well. I finally received my side order once I was finished with my main meal. Several items on our meals were over cooked. It's an IHOP. Been to one, pretty much been to then all as far as food goes. This one was laid out pretty much like every other one I've been to. The service was pretty decent. The booth we were seated at was clean and had everything it needed on there. Our waiter was great and patient. I ordered a plate of strawberry and nutella crepes. They were so good! This was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant in a long time! They sat us relatively quickly, but then we waited for almost 2 hours for our food, and everything was wrong. When my husband & I moved to Burlington,NC in July. One reason we chose it was because of its location close to our favorite eating place, IHop. Not long after we got moved in did we learn that location was permanently closed. Needless to say we were very disappointed. God answers prayers. Miraculously, it's recently re-opened. We've already been there several times and I have to give kudos to the wonderful assistant manager, Mr. Rivera. Whether the restaurant is slow or busy, Mr Rivera has gone above and beyond to sit us quickly. He comes by to check on us often. Makes us feel important. Ive watched him interact with other guests, help servers on the floor and even help in the kitchen. Seems like a real hard worker. I hope you keep Mr. Rivera for a very long time. Food as always come as ordered and delicious! Will definitely be return customers. read more

I would not recommend this IHOP to my worst enemy. We have been sitting at the table for well over an hour and still haven't gotten our food. The restaurant is basically empty so there is no reason for this long wait period. The most aggravating thing about this place is the ridiculously loud music that sounds like you are at a concert. We asked the manager to lower the music and he refused to claiming the receiver was broken so I asked him to just unplug it. He refused to do that either. We waited ten minutes before being put on the waitlist. All the servers knew there was a line, but no one came to help (guess they aren't cross trained). The hostess was assisting someone with a pickup/to go order. A group of 5-6 people and a group of 4 people left while waiting in line for the hostess. Once seated, our server took our drink and food order in a timely manner. It took about 15-30 minutes for the food to come out and not all of it was there and two things were wrong. Everything that came out was warm, except our orders of eggs, they were room temperature. A 7 top music group got seated right behind us and were singing and playing music on their phones the whole time (not the restaurants fault). After we got all of our food, we didn't see our server for 20-25 minutes. Before she came back, she went to the back and requested a remake of something for another table and made a rude comment that the customer (6 feet away) could hear and we could hear ( 12 feet away). Most of the time we were there, several of the servers were just standing in the kitchen and chatting. They also had conversations across the restaurant. It seems like there isn't a lot of accountability from management and employees need to be cross trained. You never know when someone from corporate is coming by. read more

So sad. We went to eat around 8pm hoping to have a nice dinner with our friends. Asked for hot chocolate, they were out. Asked for orange juice instead, they were out. Ended up with water and Pepsi. Next for the food. He takes out order fine. Comes back, we can't serve you your turkey dinner because they were out of stuffing. My friend wanted two more crepes, they were out. True story-- me and my family went to eat one night and there was a dead rat in parking lot near the door. We should have left and gone elsewhere. We went in there was a bad smell , then we ordered it took them about 30 minutes to bring food then mine was out 15 minutes after the other orders were. The food looked gross not fresh. HORRIBLE ...ok , I get the wait because they were busy but to sit down and not get food for ever an hour is ridiculous. The waitress would go MIA, while the other waitress was doing multiple tables at once ours couldn't even get our order right. She also never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything or offered refills. The food wasn't good either and was cold, we were just ready to go. So asked for the check and still took forever. She had more dirty tables in her section empty than than the other girl who actually had more tables seated. There are 5 employees here one of which is the GM, Corey. However, everyone except Jay is literally sitting in their tail while Jay seats customers, takes orders, cooks the food, serves the food, AND takes and prepares online orders. Honestly I will never be going back, the server who was waiting on us was pretty rude and greeted us like if we had said anything bad to her. We clearly gave her our order and still got it wrong. She started to complain about a table in the kitchen and then proceeded to say "I should've just left the people standing at the door". The manager (at least who we think is the manager) is walking around almost doing absolutely nothing to help out. There were so many dirty tables all over the restaurant and floor was dirty with food and trash. I would not recommend anyone to order online or attempt to do curbside pickup at this location. I've attempted twice and the experience was tremendously poor each time. Each time I've ordered online the staff did not honor the pickup time in my confirmation email. I had to call several times to receive my curbside order. Each time I would call they explained that they were busy, however, I would see other curbside orders going inside and receiving their order. It seems to me that the staff are too lazy to bring the food outside to the vehicles and want the curbside orders to go inside because they're so "busy". read more

The food is always good. They have a great variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner meals. The serve varies. Sometimes it is pretty good. Other times it isn't.
