I've been here 3 times and every time there is a problem with the order such as the server forgot to place part of our order or the food is cold or cooked incorrectly. I will say that the staff is friendly and usually fix the issue but I think if I'm looking for a good omelet or pancake, I'm better off going to a diner. read more

It's clean and new. Everyone is nice and friendly. The manager is on top of everything; making sure the employees are doing the right thing. I ordered the Spinach and Mushroom omelette that comes with Hollandaise sauce. I replaced the cheese with over-roasted tomatoes. I loved it! I will surely go back I this IHOP. read more

My experience was less than favorable. While the restaurant was not crowded, my food took way too long. The waitress encouraged us to order appetizers because the food would take long (credit for honesty). I had to ask her twice for my beverage which she forgot and insisted to bring out orange juice instead of the coffee I ordered. The appetizers were fine, but when our main course came out, why were my pancakes uncooked in the middle and part of my bacon was cold? Everyone but me enjoyed their food except for me. When my boyfriend and I walked in we were taken back by how empty it was and all of the servers seemed to be so young. However, we were seated rather quickly because it was so empty. Our server , Courtney, was amazing, she was attentive, polite and pleasant. I ordered the French brioche with scrambled eggs and hash brown. The first downside to this IHOP was the utensils, both my boyfriends and my knife fork and spoon were dirty (resembling dishwasher stains). I ended up getting plastic utensils and my boyfriend used hot water to clean his. When my food arrived the eggs were cold, the hash brown was cold and the brioche wasn't cooked throughly, I could taste the raw egg which was disturbing. My boyfriend just had the pancakes,no mistakes there. Courtney was polite enough to take my entire dish back and brought out fresh eggs, hash brown and properly cooked French Brioche. Ultimately our experience was meehhh, it was nothing out the ordinary, the service wasn't "amazing" but it wasn't horrendous either, but we probably won't be coming back because the food wasn't quality. read more

First of all this place is AMAZING! It has a huge parking space for customers. As soon as you enter, the staff is nice and courteous. They are patient when you order. The food is made to your liking and is delivered to you in time to enjoy the freshness and goodness of it. The portions are made just right. I suggest ordering the Maui-Style Crunchy Shrimp because it blew me away. The IHOP splashers are extremely good too. You should either try both or which ever one catches your eye. This service here has gone down! Went here yesterday and the waitress was so slow!! At the end of the meal, she gave us our check and we waited for 15 minutes for her to come back. Finally, we gave up waiting and went to the front to pay, and it just so happened that the manager was up front. I told him what happened, and he said that it was unacceptable that we had to wait so long for her to come back and that he would have a talk with her. My experience this time at the Flatlands Avenue location wasn't a good one today! I have been craving Ihops chicken philly for two weeks and when I get it they mess it up by bringing me beef. When I waive my waitress over and tell her I don't eat beef that's why I ordered chicken and she tells me I should've told her "sub chicken"! Really? That's why I asked for a chicken philly. Why get defensive? Just apologize for your mistake or if you were confused about what the customer wanted asked them to specify. I had the bright idea of heading to this particular location which is just feet away from a church on a Sunday afternoon. Though there was a wait, I felt the staff kept things moving at a steady pace. I appreciated the speakers outside of the eatery which meant that I did not have to cram inside of the waiting area or block the doorway. Given the location, I think they should consider expansion to meet high customer volume. I always wanted to try the crepes and finally did. My order was the international crepe passport (strawberry-topped crepes with two eggs, and substituted two turkey bacon strips and turkey links). Delicioso! My meal was affordable and sufficient, just what I needed. The service was excellent. One employee seated us, another took our drinks order, a third employee took our meal order, and a fourth employee asked if we'd like to join the Pancake Revolution. The food was pretty good, anytime when you can go into a restaurant and it's kinda slow and empty is a good thing. With that being said, the food was very fresh but that wasn't the best part. First time at this particular IHOP. I have to admit because of the location I thought it was going to be not the best experience but I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. When I initially walked in I was greeted by a young lady with a little bit of an attitude problem but when I was seated I got a really good waitress. The waitress( Fanny) was a pleasure. She was very attentive and had good disposition. I tip very well and am big on cust service. Maybe the managers can have Fanny give the hostess and some of the others lessons on how to keep their customers happy. read more
